What I loved about the game was how Babs and the entire team was gunning for Mitchy to get that third goal. Did you see Dermott wheeling like a madman to get the puck back up the ice with a few seconds left, the entire line figuring out how to get Marner the puck off the faceoff? Character building. We've got a team here, boys.
hello there folks DK isn’t a goal scoring defenseman. He has great puck possession skills, probably is the best skater on defense in the league and is also great at taking away passing lanes. And also this may be the first time in years the Blackhawks aren’t STACKED like they usually are. Keith his whole career so far has played along side superstars or great role players OR BOTH other wise known as a great T-E-A-M. Guys like Towes, Kane, Hossa, Saad, Sharp, Seabrook, Panarin, Brouwer, Bolland, Teravinen, Byfuglien, Verteeg, Vermette, Richards, Oduya, Hjalmarsson, Ladd, Campbell, Shaw, Frolik, Bickell, Panik, Schmaltz, Leddy, Anisimov and Debrincat. Play along side some of these names your whole career as a defensive defenseman and let’s see how many goals you can rak up while winning the Norris 2 times and a conn smyth. Did I mention that he was a defensive defenseman already?
I think there is more value in keeping JVR for a playoff run. Yes we may lose him for nothing and the prospect is there to get good return. But this team has really been upgraded ever since Dermott was added to the back end. I think there is a legitimate chance to go beyond 2 rounds this post season and JVR has a tendency to really step up post season. Unless it is a really great deal, JVR should stay.

CJ47 i’ve never heard anything like that about Max Domi. he’s a centre who plays on the wing and is energetic and gritty which Mike Babcock loves Plus his dad is loved by Toronto fans so I think you be a good fit. for Toronto in the the third line

Am I the only one thinking that a Leivo and a 3rd to Montreal for Pleckanec might be an excellent upgrade to our fourth line for the playoffs? Moore becomes an extra and you have what I feel is the most optimized lineup possible up front. Plecks is older but can still kill penaltied. Leivo deserves to play and I don't think even next year he fits on this group. Plus, I don't think Leivo being dealt anywhere else yields us as big of an upgrade.
I think JVR could possibly be on the board and the Leafs don't want to create talk in the media. It's a hard position since the team has been great and Babs told them "Force Lou to make a deal to make us better" and then he does the opposite. Leafs will listen to offers but probably won't pull the trigger.
Would you rather get John Tavares or Drew doughty for the Leafs? And what would that cap hit look like with John Tavares or Drew doughty with Auston Matthews Mitch Marner and William Nylander could you do it at 30 million or closer to 35 million for those four guys?
Well, they're shopping him. Domi is having a bad season, and even if he has a good season the Coyotes will probably want to off load him rather than pay him someday. Leivo is that kind of player I think the Coyotes really like-- fairly inexpensive.
