Hey Steve, long time viewer but have never posted anything before. Just want to say that I really enjoyed watching you watch the game. Made this episode of LFR fresh and interesting, hope you do more of it in the future.
Ik you'll most likely watch every game of the rest of the season but if they are more of these where you're just watching the highlights let's just say I won't be disappointed! Haha this was hilarious :D
Thank you. That reaction to the highlights was somehow uplifting. Although maybe I just went a bit crazy during that game. Half the Buffalo goals had me laughing at how bad the Leafs were playing.
Hey Dangle read my analysis of the game. I think you may agree and may like it. I wanted to save this for your podcast but I don't know how to contact you or Adam Wild for the press conference. Love the show though. After last nights shelling in buffalo, This game can have two different outcomes. Outcome #1 the leafs actually put their foot down consistently and say "That's enough" and will play better and consitently and actually listen to what Carlyle is preaching and who knows. Outcome #2 this loss will dictate the entire season as did the 6-0 shelling in Columbus last year how it exposed the leafs team that they are a fragile team and it takes a few goals to screw them over. Now when reimer got shelled in he got barley any starts and Carlyle just went with Bernier for like half the season which in turn burnt him out. I don't think he will repeat that pattern again. I think Reimer will get a start within like a few games depending on his numbers and who. Now Looking at this team and its identity it seems that our first 2 lines play a rush style and it seems to work but there is a lack exaction and team effort. Now here is the answer to many people " What now ?" After getting shelled in Buffalo a team on pace to setting a record for being the worst possession team well, If any of you watched Reimer's post game video you can see that he is visibly pissed the hell off and for Kessel telling Jonas seigial to basically F-off and that the entire team was so embarrassed to a point where like 4 people only came out for a post game video shows that they are embarrassed and that they will be hungry. Now I've been on the Fire Carlyle ban wagon. But I think I will say he should'nt be fired. His System is actually what the leafs need in order to succeed. I think what Carlyle is preaching is what most NHL coaches are saying to their team is to patient with the puck and that our defense men need support from our forwards. The team needs to move as a unit. What I saw last night was that Our defense men had no support in some instances and that our defense men and fowards did not move together as a unit and were all over the place. Point #1 Buying into what Carlyle, Spott and Horachek are saying and their system and having support Another thing that has been ailing the leafs is that when their Goal tender has a bad night it turns into a nightmare for team. Now I say depend on your goaltenders to make you those big saves when you need it. But all goaltenders have off nights Reimer had a bad night just like Bernier when he played Boston and Pittsburgh. If the goaltender is having a bad night its up to the fowards and defense men to compensate for that by scoring goals and not allowing the opposition to score. Last night there was no structure, no team effort, no support and they didn't show up. I don't care what record the leafs have in Buffalo 14-1-1 the team is garbage and will be for a while. This was a gimmie. This is a game the could've won. Now back on topic. Now is the time the players buy into the coach the past is the past. As Carlyle said when he came "This needs to be a total team buy in" Only the clarkson,Komarov,Holland, Santerolli and our goaltenders are buying in to the system. That is the problem that is hurting us the most. It was never our defensive depth. The team never bought into what Carlyle and what he is saying. But what he is saying is right. They need to be more paitent with the puck, forwards need to support the defense men, Goaltenders need support from time to time. Point #2: Do not overstart Bernier Both Goaltenders have had off nights in this season regardless of what team. Keep the tandom going do not screw around with Reimers confidence or Berniers. Have them both battle it out fairly so when it comes time say if Bernier or Reimer gets hurt one or the other can battle through with confidence. Sit Reimer for like 3 games and play him. He has something to prove let him have 30 games to prove it. Point#3 Phil Kessel not speaking to Jonas Seigle Now its clearly evident that Kessel is a man of few words and when he comes out for a post game its after a win or a terrible loss. After last nights game I think this is the boiling point for kessel as a player. He tells TSN reporter Jonas Seigle to "Get away from me" and then left. Now. This can have only one effect and its a positive one. The outcome will be he will be jacked up for the game against Nashville its become a trend where whenever kessel is Pissed off he shows it by stepping up his game by a lot. So in theory Kessel will show up on Tuesdays game in my opinion. In conclusion this maybe a season changer in two ways. It seems that it will change out season for the better lets see if this will spark some type of mentality change in the Leafs Locker room. Hope this is a good analysis.

Watching you react to this Steve was basically reliving my Saturday night at the First Niagara Center. I forgot the Sabres own the Leafs at home... The jersey throwing was also disgraceful again.
I watched this out of order. nashville LFR first and then the buffalo LFR. boy o boy it got worse. I find that the Leafs are pushing me away gradually.
Steve I feel you. I actually thought after that Kessel goal, we were in it. I mean we lost to pens by a score of 2-1 score 6 bloody goals against the Bruins and we lose to a the sabres with that fashion? Really!!!?? I mean I would have even been happy with getting a point in ot.. Idk man. Hope we play well next game. Fingers crossed.
Acually. Voracek is in the lead for points. But I'm not dumb I know Crosby is on another level and Voracek is not heard of around the whole league but its pretty cool that someone is abowe Crosby right now :D ( Good thing its a Flyer aswell :D) To bad they cant win tho -.-
What a joke Phanuef is. He was responsible for the first goal on Friday night when he played Bortuzzo soft after he came out of the box, He looked like he didn't care when he was chasing Girgensons on that partial breakaway when Reimer had to dive out. What was he doing on the 6th goal? 3 guys in the neutral zone and Girgensons ends up with a breakaway?
This video makes me wonder if teams used to be like, "fuck, there playing the leafs?!!! Common man an easy team and now they're gonna have all this confidence."
dunno how you got thru without seeing the score somewhere... I had to go out after first period... did stuff, drove around, went to buddy's place and the first thing I hear on entering his place is someone scream the score... *groan* watched the hi-lites later and not as animated as you Steve, but still as distressed in some ways... So...Reimer? not a nite to remember... And Phaneuf? kinda earned that 'pylon' nick last nite. oh well...you win some, and you lose some...and then you lose some more... and more... *grrr...*
