LG manual lacks clarity on the gas connection. The dryer is equipped with a 3/8" M.NPT connection. I had to wait to receive the dryer, then look at the unit to find out if its male or female. I could have bought the parts ahead of time. LG should have specified the connection correctly, saying " 3/8" NPT" doesn't mean much when it could be male or female.

The screw for the power connection is impossible to remove on my new LG dryer. Yall had the Hulk tighten that mess. I’m going to have to destroy the screw to remove it.

no. you never use tape or dope on a flared fitting

No tape on the AN fittings (flared), but yes on the regular pipe threads with a gas specific tape (usually yellow)

Tbh I never use tape to begin with. Dope is enough. The tape can shred and get sucked into the gas valve and cause issues

Lol, HORRIBLE install video...where’s the use of Teflon Tape or dope compound around the gas connections? Where do you get the couplers, like come on. The most important things you should be showing people in the video is that, FAIL

Bro, that's a flared end of an appliance connector. You don't use any type of compound or tape on a flare connection lol. If you look closely you can see white tape on the threaded end. Which is fine. Sounds like you know enough to be dangerous
