Just want to send a huge thank you, you saved me a repair bill. My wife heard a loud rattling noise in the washing machine last week and sure enough, got the OE message today. A metal collar stay from a dress shirt got in there. As soon as I opened it up and disconnected the hose, I stuck my finger and pulled it right out. Machine is working again.

Great , easy to follow video. I have a 18 month old LG washer and it was throwing that code. I could hear the pump trying to go, so I followed the instruction on this video, took out the pump, shook it around and out falls a piece of bicycle chain. I stuck my finger in there to see if it spins which it did, re installed and it works fine!!

Thank you for your clear and concise directions. And the recommendation regards the stubby ratchet and types of bolts. It is so frustrating to not know what size or type of bolt/screw head you may be dealing with. I'm definitely an 'amatuer' DIY repair person. Now off to order the needed parts etc.

We got as much water out as we could before starting, but were unprepared for the amount of water that was still in the machine, at least two bucket fulls. This created a mess to clean up.

My model is slightly different but the installation was pretty much the same. However, mine is still pretty loose and wiggles but won't come off. Is it okay to use when like that? Or do I need to take it apart again and figure out the issue?

Hi there! This video was super helpful! This is the first video I have come across that shows how to do this for this specific washer. I have the same washer and it smells extremely bad, I think I need to drain it. Do you have any insight on how I would drain it? Like which hose would I pull out? Thanks in advance! Great video!
@appliancerepairamerican
@appliancerepairamerican 3 месяца назад
if you have a shopVac (wet vacuum ) get a cone shaped connector that attaches on the end of the hose. Next take the drain hose from the washer, the one that comes out the back and sits in the pipe in the your wall, and remove it from the stand pipe in the wall. Put the cone into the drain hose and suck out all the water with the shopVac

I bought the item on the Amazon link provided, but it did not come with the wire, only the main part. I just used the original switch. Overall, the video was helpful! My model is an LG WT7300CW

Thank you Paul. I hope you can help with with some feedback? Do you prefer more of a Vlog style with my videos, where I talk to the camera for a bit, or, do you like it when i get right to fixing it, as I did in this video? I appreciate your feedback, since it helps me create the content that people want. Thank you again for your support. God bless you and your family

Good morning I like a combination of both. For the DIY viewer, how you diagnose would be beneficial and keeping the video length about the same. Have a great day

@@paulholland3232 Thank you for the feedback Paul. It helps. There is always a bit of compromise between what The RU-vid algorithm wants and what I want to present. I will eventually find a good balance. Thank you again for your support.

I had an OE error code. Replaced the pump. Wire harness looked good. Still not draining and doesn't seem to be spinning. No clogs, took the wash plate off from in the tub and cleaned it. The count down timer on the control panel isn't counting down correctly, it will just stay stuck on a time. The only thing it will do is fill, give a light shake/shutter, and rotate slowly. Any suggestions?

I’m dealing with the same issue just put a new pump on and it still pops up the error code as if it’s a clog and it has no clog!! It’s at my moms house so will be going tomorrow to check the little hose that connects on the left side of the pump and am also going to take the center of the drum cap off and it’s a 10 mm bolt u have to unscrew to check if a sock maybe in between agitator. I will keep you posted if I figure out the problem! Keep me updated as well Vise versa if you figure it out before I do if u don’t mind.

Were you able to fix the problem?
@MichaelHatfield
@MichaelHatfield 6 месяцев назад
@@righteous404 No luck. I hard wired the pump with a plug. Now, I plug it in when it gives an OE code, it drains the water, and then I unplug it. I haven't figured out why it's not sending power to the pump.

@@MichaelHatfield Interesting fix! I think my wiring harness has failed. I've had the back panel off of my washer for a couple days. When It fails to drain, I have to go behind the machine and put some pressure on the electrical connectors. The pump will sometimes continue working after I stop putting pressure on the connectors, but sometimes will stop until I put pressure on them again.
@MichaelHatfield
@MichaelHatfield 6 месяцев назад
@@adamizme1 Nice! Which connector? The one directly to the pump? Maybe the connectors just need a little cleaning. I'm going to go spray some contact cleaner in them and see what happens.

Ok newbie here. I bought the stubby but it didn’t come with sockets and the sockets I have don’t attach. What am I doing wrong? Do I need another piece? I should have learned how to use all my husband’s tools while he was alive.

My lg top loader is giving drilling sound after the wash cylce is over, switches to spin cycle then it gives drilling sound. There is no error code on the display. What is the problem with the machine?
@appliancerepairamerican

The drain pump runs at the same time as the spin cycle. could be the drain pump

My old LG front-load washer had a convenient access door on the front of the washer (bottom left side) with a capped tube I could pull out to drain the washer for an OE error. Afterwards, there was a filter basket to the right of that retractable tube I could unscrew and clean out. Does the top-load washer not have this? Not seeing it.

Mine keeps restarting itself and puts out so much water that the drain pipe in the wall can't handle it and the pipe in the wall overflows . It's large amounts of water! It will have 20 mins left...spin then start filling with water again!!
@appliancerepairamerican
@appliancerepairamerican 2 месяца назад
it it keeps putting water in and then spinning it usually is sensing and off balanced load. sometimes the machine requires new suspension to to fix the off balance problem or maybe the adjustable feet can be used to simply level the machine. If your stand pipe is backing up there is a clog in the stand pipe. it should be able to handle the water flow. If you are in florida and on a septic it could be that the system is saturated due to the excess recent rainfall
