Thanks!!! Needed this explanation! Note that with my WT7300 (as some others have also experienced) you need to use a screw driver or similar flat but stiff tool to release the tabs at the lower front of the cover to get it off. I also had an issue where the wire bundle on the left side (looking at the valve assembly from the rear) had little slack. But I was able to rotate the rest of the cover away giving sufficient access to replace the valves (which was my goal).
Thank you for this video! I have had to replace that valve 3 times. It is very difficult without folding that top back. It can be done but you have bloody skinned up fingers by the time you get done.
We leveled ours and it is working at the lightest touch like new. Installation was done incorrectly. Before you call someone do the ThinQ as we did. It helps to diagnose problems. You for sure know it’s not the expensive parts, which the people who looked at it wanted to replace.
I have to replace the fill sensors because that blew a leak! I can believe the unit cracked after 4 years . I purchased the unit on Amazon for 50$ for a washer that cost 1300$
I will add this piece I own wt7900hba washer and the top is almost the same. Where he said popsicle stick there are plastic tabs that hold my model into place. I used a skinny flat head screwdriver to push the tabs there are 4 or 5 the end ones where the main problem.
On my WT7500CW, after I removed the two screws hidden by the front panel, my control panel still does not "drop forward" as yours did. There is still something ( I guess some kind of retaining clip) keeping me from being able to drop it forward. I think I see in your video something like what I am talking about. Can you tell me if you encountered this and how to release the panel.
I have the same problem. All hidden screws out but the cntl panel still being held some how. Some how the five clips along the bottom need to be released help! :)
I figured it out! Put a thin screw driver in the front of the panel next to each tab, and gently pry upwards. The clips will release and the top piece will roll forward.
I did basically the opposite of the previous person, got to the last 5 tabs, I put a flat head screw driver on the back side of those clips and just twisted and they popped up. Didn’t break anything surprised enough but that was worked for me and you could flip it right over as needed.
How do you get the back cover off the top panel in the first place? After removing the 5 screws securing the back plastic cover I can't get the rear cover to slide or pull away from the front cover assembly. It feels like something locking the bottom corners down, but I can't see how to release them.
It has plastic clips that pop out with some gentle encouragement. I used a flat wide putty knife head to slip into the crack and gently pry. It popped loose a few clips and I was able to finish popping it off by hand
It certainly would have. I am sure if you keep looking, you will find much better videos showing how to do the whole job. I was just stuck on how to get the top off.
I’m stuck at the same place. Took off those frost screws but it still won’t budge. It’s like it’s got those clips inside there and I can’t figure out how to release them. And there’s like zero videos on.
@@BeccaJay what mine ended up being was the power switch wasn't picking up my finger. The actual device that is connected to the button is about an inch to the right of the center of the on/off button. Try pushing your finger there and see if that helps
That was two years ago. I think that the knob does not come off. You have to take it out from the inside. If I remember correctly, it is attached to a circuit board.
@@tubejim101 thanks, we finally found it. They hid it under the circuit board. I could barely reach it, but was able to get a screw driver in there to unplug it.
I was able to get the back of and the front plate cover and removed both screws but I still can’t lift it up it’s stuck on something. I don’t want to pry it as I’m sure I’ll break it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
Good job not forcing anything. I am assuming you got both front screws out. Gently lift up and down, and see where it is binding. Hopefully it is just caught on some wires.
How do you remove the entire top? I want to remove the washer drum to give it a good cleaning but can't figure it out. Another video shows slipping a putty knife at the front to release a couple clips but I couldn't get that to work.
Hey, I figured it out! Do is stick a pry bar or putty knife screwdriver in the back where you took the bolts out lift up there on both sides then slide it forward. Woohoo!
Does anyone know of a video that shows how to remove the top section (with lid). I saw the comment about sliding it forward but it's not working for me. It doesn't come off like I've seen in a video where it just hinges back after prying the front off with a putty knife. Any help would be appreciated:)
Hey, I figured it out! What you have to do is pry it up with a pry bar, putty knife or flathead screwdriver in the back where you took the bolts out. Once it's up then you can slide it forward.
