I’m straight and I’m just watching these videos to learn more about you guys! I am trying my best to be supportive and respectful, remember you are all valid! Edit: So it’s been a year since I wrote this and I’m not as straight as I thought I was lmao. Turns out I’m actually queer and on the aroace spectrum! I’ve learnt so much about myself and other people this year and It was nice seeing all your lovely replies :D

I am pansexual, and I didn't come out of the closet. _I came out of the cupboard._ *[EDIT]* Pantries are used for food. Pans are kitchenware, and are more likely going to be stored in a cupboard. I was going more for a joke than a play on words, unlike every other comment that I see on these videos. So no, I did not come out of the pantry.

I actually came out to my school as trans by telling my teachers to call me Mason and use he/him pronouns for me and they were all very nice about it. For example one teacher told me I’d be a great leader and hoped I’d feel more comfortable being out and offered to tell the whole class that I’d prefer my pronouns and name be respected and explain that I’m trans. It warmed my heart

I really hate it when parents tell you that you're too young to know that you're gay, lesbian, etc. But if you say you're straight, they don't question it. If we are too young to know if we are gay, we are too young to know if we are straight, too. Edit: I've recently come to terms with being a pansexual trans demi-guy! :]

I plan on coming out tomorrow. I am a christian gay myself, and Im going to tell my parents and then get baptized to prove to them that the two qualities can coexist. Wish me luck, ive never been more scared in my life. Some days I feel confident enough to come out right then and there, and then other days I feel like the whole world is against me. Im wishing luck to anyone else struggling to come out.

I came out to my mom by sending her a link to a lesbian pin. Unfortunately, the link didn’t work as it should, so I had to explain it to her… In the end, her reaction was the sweetest, as she is bisexual. She supports and loves me the way I am. If you come out to a loved one, they will surely love and understand you, even if it takes time. The most important thing however is to love yourself, no matter what happens. Stay true to yourself

I've already come out to my little brother. He understood why I don't want to tell mom that I'm aro-ace because I am required to marry a boy like everyone else. I would be crying right now without my brother.

So I had a family session today at therapy (and by family I mean parents and older sister) and when they finished saying their bs, I stood up and came out, as trans - boyflux - god it was a pain in the ass but ok, expected it to be worse. Proud of myself ✨

Just wanted to come out and share, I’m pretty sure I’m either pan sexual or bi sexual. I don’t want to refer to any term I’m just really in love with this girl.. we dated for 6 months and it was so heavenly, we loved each other and I felt so free with her. This relationship ended on my side because of my mother. She’s kind to gay/lesbian people but she’s always told us that that’s not right and that it’s naturally not correct to like someone of your gender. Of course this made me incredibly nervous my feelings towards my girlfriend and I broke up with her for it mostly, other reason was that I wanted to get help and try to improve my mental health. It has improved but ever sense I left her I’ve felt so empty, down, I dream of her, I think of her every day, I think of coming back sense I told her I would after I’d recover from all my issues but im afraid that after I broke up with her and had no contact that she might’ve moved on and maybe if I mess up the way I’m reaching out to her and the way that I’d build our friendship up again to then maybe see if it’s possible we get back together. It’s complicated but I feel so much for this girl and there’s not one day I don’t think of her and I doing things together, going out, seeing each other, talking with each other, her voice, her sound, her. I’ll have to let her know some day, or she will know some day. Struggling hard right now, haha, leave your suggestions if you have any

I came out as bi to my mom and my cousin last year when I was 17 and the accepted me and support me 100%. I’m now the happiest version of myself I ever was.

I’m prepped for the “what does that mean?” Question. My parents aren’t really 100% sure on all of that. They say they support, and my cousin is gay, but I’m so scared anyways because I’m their first child to come out to them (that I know of)

I was really, really, nervous. Coming out was probably the hardest part of my transition. I came out to a work friend 1st and didn't do a good job I was so I nervous. Then each new person I got better at it and so was able to tell my family in a coherent way. So find a way to practice!

At least you’re not a disappointment to society, and all the questions were just about assumed stereotypes such as, “What haircut do gays tend to have?”. It’s homophobic. I wish in society sexuality didn’t change the way people look at you. One does not simply control whom or what gender they’re attracted to. They just simply are. Gender is just a label, just because at birth you’re labeled, “female” doesn’t mean that’s how they really feel. It’s easy to feel like you’re stuck in the wrong body. Especially for me. I live in a very religious, homophobic town in Texas. I’ll simply mention the LGBTQIA+ community at school, and people cringe. They tell me that being gay goes against everything their God believes. My parents are even worse. My brother always says homophobic slurs and it breaks my heart. I don’t know that I’ll ever be able to come out, but I can talk anonymously in comments as long as I wish. An advice for young people who are still living with their parents who are planning to come out; if you are not sure about how your parents will react to the situation, please consider your safety first. There are extreme cases where families may even abandon their kids, or just simply continuing to live with your parents may become a nightmare. I suggest you to wait for a time when you can look after yourself in case you need to go somewhere else.

I’ve had this friend I’ve known since kindergarten. We’ve always gotten along and stayed in touch. But recently I accidentally came out. I forgot the complete context but it came to me making a gay joke. She asked “are you really?” In this nervous shocked tone. I may have been over thinking things but the tone that she said it really was saying she felt uncomfortable and I really think I might have just ruined our friendship. I don’t know what to do.

Managing your expectations is a huge one. When I told my mum, I assumed she would be incredibly vocal and have so many questions. The reality was that she basically said, "ok. As long as you're happy and find the right person". Although it was a good outcome, I was left feeling underwhelmed

I actually just came out as bi to my mother in the best way. I just sayd that I was in the periodic table #83 and it worked. I feel really proud of myself. I have been afraid of coming out for about a year or two now.
