I love how every item in their house has aspecial story behind it. If 10% of the items in my home had such lovely memories for me, then I'd be a much better person.
Oh my gosh, it breaks my heart when Caroline says, "I know everything," and tries to remain so strong and brave. Mr.s Oleson is sooooo rude! Love the ending!!!!
One can only hope and wish for a time where family the way its shown here is the norm. The benifits of it are immense both personally and in relation to society. Most people just aren,t willing to think long term anymore, just 5 centimeters in front of their nose!
I'm glad Caroline didn't tell Charles her suspicious thoughts. He would be disappointed in her, I guess... but actually I might have thought the same as Caroline, if everything was happening right in front of me!
I think that the episode would have been better if Caroline had talked to Charles about those "white lies" and what impact they had on the family. Then they could have had the surprise with the china.
I went back and looked and the final scene in The Richest in Walnut Grove. It was them leaving the mercantile in the wagon. So maybe your thinking of another episode. =)
i was thinking, yes this episode is very similar to 'the handyman'. for those who have seen that one only mary is very suspicious, maybe cos of this episode she thinks there is lack of trust in her parents' marriage...
The dishes REPRESENT...got it, represent what going on. The show expects you to figure out the rest. If you can't figure out the lesson to be learn, then go to another channel!
