Another success of the RU-vid algorithm. I've never been in marching band nor do I really play any instruments but this popped up and I think it's so cool!
This is the Dallas Cowboys indoor practice field at the Cowboys world headquarters in Frisco, Texas. The School District the City of Frisco and the Cowboys made a deal to allow all 10 highschools in the city to use it as part of UIL competition. Its an amazing deal actually, saved the school district spending $70m on a stadium like some Texas schools.
Okay, so I was right. It's all about competition. Does anyone does this and play at schools and games anymore?? Make high-tech moves & routine, with original music included(or even covers) that they play for the crowd amd every one of the 1000s of people who attend high school f.b. games? The band is as important as anything else. An epitomizing part of garnering spirit and positive hype for the whole crowd but especially athe team and everyone who attends the school. W/o the band and the cheerleaders, the crowd would be half as crazy. I guess it's all about competition for trophies now on a field that doesn't belong to u as opposed to competing against the opposing team on a Friday night and showing you're the best as a whole by being a Libertine(or whatever the hell they are called), and beating them as rivals thru and thru.
@@actuallyNo... Before I joined the Liberty band, I’d watch them do head choppers in the pedestrian seating and everyone got hyped. Fun fact, this was our last game of the year and the only game our school had won after almost going on a two year losing streak, and everyone was singing along with the band at that game. I wouldn’t blame them for not paying too much attention to the band cause like I said, we were winning for the first time in almost two years. I even had a game that day and when I was done, me and my other friend in band threw on our clothes and ran out the door so we wouldn’t miss this game, it was a pretty big deal.
