I got a few German history books and about 20+ other new books! 📕 my first book: www.amazon.com/dp/B08ZBM2SY6/ 📕 my second book: www.amazon.com/dp/B0CL23VB2J 💻my website: ideasinhat.com/ #books #nonfiction #booktube
I read A Line In the Sand and I liked it. I was surprised to hear that during WWII the French continued to militarily support people who were fighting against Britain particularly in Palestine
James Q Flynn is a good next step. That being said, make sure you read the bell curve closely! That book is extremely misrepresented by people for political aims. He also has some other works worth reading that reveal his views a bit more thoroughly.
@IdeasInHat I mean, that's what people with political aims always do, they misrepresent something or even straight up lie. Because how many will actually go and read or research something instead of taking another person's word for it?
I like certain traditions, and I like honoring long-standing traditions especially. I think it's a great example of collective will to have a tradition that resists change through generations. But I don't think traditions should be upheld when enough people are upset with them. After all, the traditions are for the people, in my opinion, not for traditions sake.
Got new books myself to, The Bahir, The Sefer Yetzirah, The Muqaddimah, and finally the Marmaduke Picketthall translation of the Quran (which was the only translation offically accepted by a Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, the Sultan was highly impressed with it). Had read the Quran, (or rather Koran, since thats what they call it when its in any language other than arabic) before, but want to read a different translation of it. I like reading different translations of books not in my native language (english), so that i can expand my scope on the material. Pretty sure briefly talked about translations before. Also, i still blame you for my book addiction! I always loved books, but u made it an obsession! I now stalk books like a creepy stalker from an anime lol.
