Wow, this is such a coincidence for me. I'm plant based and also shopped in both stores today. Waitrose is great for their vast range of vegan alternatives. Lidl is much cheaper for their fresh produce. Great video Family Freedom 💜

Wow. To be honest. If that's the case, ripping their customers off. We have Aldi's & COSCO here in Australia but not the others. We have Coles, Safeway/Woolworths. find in larger shopping centres. & Some smaller local shops. IGA (Small Independent store) cheers 🇦🇺🐨👍🏻😁

More colour is more money when printing packaging, reduces prices less colour.

Wow Huge difference in price. Can such a difference be justified. I know where I would have to shop. The cost of utilities petrol going up, saving so much on food would make a massive difference to the household budget. Really looking forward to the taste. Cheers Lynne Australia 🇦🇺🐨💙💙💙💙

Maybe waitrose uses less colour in the products so the writing on the product is much clearer for people to read(it pops out)and will cost more to add colour, thats my theory. #live but not live Have good day everyone:)

Great challenge. I can’t go out shopping so have my food delivered and I use Waitrose. I try to go for things on offer and I’m usually happy with what I buy. I also don’t mind about the packaging with Essential Waitrose. Unfortunately neither Lidl or Aldi deliver. Look forward to the taste challenge. I do find Waitrose produce is good plus if I have any problems with anything delivered, the Customer Services department are very good 👍 xxx

Bob I done it once with the trolley in asda unfortunately the trolley tipped and I fell flat on my face my hubby looked at me and said I hope u didn't break the eggs 🤣

Yes I was fine I think my pride was hurt more than anything. My husband says I hope it was caught on security tapes. It was a few years ago I haven't done it since but have been tempted lol xx

price wise we can clearly see that idil's is cheaper. Of all the stores in the UK which one would be considered the one that would be considered a supreme store? In the US Whole foods would be he go to for that level of a grocery store.

I would say that in the UK most people think of Waitrose and M&S are the more supreme and expensive and Aldi and Lidl are the cheaper ones 😊👌

Waitrose has always had a strong reputation for high quality. So the taste test may reveal a lot. For instance, you can buy value beans for a lot less than standard beans, but the quality is noticeable. I wonder what the nutritionist would say about eating less high quality food, than more low quality food. It is well known that a value food diet is quite a large contributor to obesity. Simply because we need to eat more of it to get the same nutritional value. I would have liked to hear the nutritional information for each product you chose, although I appreciate, it would have made the video a lot longer. Keep rising Family Feedom 🚐🚐🚐

@@FamilyFreedom 🤣 Why do I get the feeling that Bob is going to be the only person in the next video not either blindfolded or wearing sunglasses the entire time? It seems to me that you both are being bribed by easy peelers at this point. Get him to do that wheely trick on the shopping cart next time you all go to the super market so he pulls a muscle and cant chase after the both of you. Since he's getting up there in years, it's bound to work that way...🤣

Right now.. I'd prefer how much can I get to fill my belly vs taste ...We made a huge investment and that investment will potentially profit is over 10k but we didn't expect Amazon lay off workers my husband being bc they didn't want them to collect the their 2nd bonus! Everything way great we was making a huge investment to better our lives. Now we struggling to keep food in our bellies until the investment pays off. So I think when it comes to trying to save people choose how much they can get for the amount they have to spend. Even when it comes to buying items. I know the unit price & it can be costly but the price fits in budget & i can get 2-3 meals splitting it. We have been skipping a meal & meal planning to save money. But now its beans rice . hoping this weekend we sell a lot of popcorn. :) completely vegan @ our local flea market. Our investment is opening up a catering & vending business. I booked our first event middle June :) excited but defiantly scraping by now.

A lot of people always complain to me that M&S is very expensive (we don’t have Waitrose here 🥲) but I’ve actually found it recently not to be too bad compared to tescos and sometimes lidl & Aldi especially because their fruit and veg seem to be lasting longer and are of higher quality ❤️ I shop a little bit of everywhere though to get all my gluten free stuff because it’s not easy to shop in Ireland for special diets ❤️ These challenges really are eye opening though. And I think Bob would make a great ad for Lidl on his Trolley 😂🙌🏻 Would love to see some day out packed lunches on a budget with summer coming and family days out on the horizon! ❤️

We haven't been to M&S for a while but I remember their vegan products are delicious 😋 We do a lot of shopping around as well, I find it really annoying when you find gluten free bread but there is egg in there, we have found so many like that. I just mentioned to Bob about the Lidl trolley ad and he's definitely up for it 😂😂😂😂

@@FamilyFreedom yeah there’s a lot of egg in gluten free products I’m off bread at the moment but one of my favorite brands is BFree because it’s all gluten free & vegan! ☺️ their mini pittas are delicious! And make great mini pizzas ❤️ I mean Lidl should definitely sponsor you’s by now 🤣 you have me wanting to go more 😂 and I bought a nakd bar today because of your other video 😂❤️
