Welcome to Family Freedom!
We are Katie, Bob and JoJo (10), a family of 3 sharing our van life with you! We also have 2 older kids - Sam (23) and Jamie (21), and their respective partners Emily and Aden, and Jamie's daughter - our granddaughter Astrid!

Anyone else notice Jojo & Katie preferred Waitrose beans but somehow the editor's solitary choice of Lidl beans won? There be trickery afoot!

Was about to comment the same thing but you beat me to it. That means that if the points went down wrong them Waitrose actually won by one point not Lidl! 😲

We call it Sweet Corn in America, also, it is printed on the label of the can, its just that all yellow or white corn here isn't ALL sweet, some are not. You can really taste the difference between the sweet and golden corn here though.

We are in the UK and we love baked beans, gotta be Asda though! We get through loads every week. My sister worked at a famous crisp company and they made crisps for all different brands, expensive and own brands. Taught me a lesson that it’s often not worth spending extra on the branded items as they are often made in the same factory as the dear ones x

In America baked beans are a staple at cookouts. Beans and cut up wieners(hot dogs), are a favorite. One of my favorite recipes is hamburger, beans and tomato soup. Cheese on top.

I always have baked beans 😂 especially on toast….and I’m in Ireland 🇮🇪 x I used to have them when I lived in the Isle of Man 🇮🇲 xx spaghetti hoops on toast is nice too…

Fun video guys! ✌️ Baked beans are not particularly popular here in Sweden, at least not to my knowledge. I have actually never had baked beans, I eat normal beans every day though haha. I’ll have to try them soon! 🌱

Hi there !! We love our baked beans i tend to add them in curries and chilli to help bulk them out a bit more . A few of our American friends think it's weird we put it with our breakfast but i honestly find it odd they put pancakes and syrup on the same plate with all that savoury stuff . It's a great question and i'm sure be lots of intresting answers too , maybe you could do a video of different ways can use beans in food like a 24 hour baked beans challenge although might be a tad gassy

One thing I have noticed is lidls fruit and veg isn’t the best you guys liked most eye fruit better from Waitrose and also the bananas would obviously last longer from there as not ripe yet

I think you should do blind taste testing, where you mix up the shops and the name of the shop in underneath the bowl. (Not using a blindfold).

Lidl lightly salted crisps say they are hand cooked. Is that like Kettle cooked in the US? Is so that is why they are crispier.

Yes like baked beans BUT they have to have brown sauce on them. 😁 There is a company in Oldham in Lancashire that makes cakes for most supermarkets including Marks & Spencer. So if you love cakes you might as well buy the cheaper ones cause most of them are made by the same company (Park Cake)

Some food products actually are made in the same factory, they are just packaged for different shops.

Bob i think your taste buds went more for the Waitrose Foods than the Lidl food. You have good ‘taste’ excuse the punt . Also I work in Waitrose and we are better for quality and also have our own farms as well. So THANKYOU BOB for voting Waitrose more.👍

In Ireland, baked beans are popular but not as popular as they are in the UK! ☺️ we do have a brand of beans which I think are the best though called Batchelors which I don’t think you can get in the UK I know Heinz beans are the really big brand over there! ☺️ Maybe we should send you treats from around the Freedom Family Fans 😂 All the beans from around the world 🫘
