Trey Anastasio guests on LIOG in 2001. Compressed video source tweaked up a bit - New audio/sync/deshaked etc. Filmed by Ellis Dee* . Questions/Comments: / copperpot5
Trey knows how to reach deep down in your soul and quiet your mind. Notice how different they sound coming back in the song. Very relaxed and peaceful. Magic. Thanks for sharing!
I watched this entire video bc of this comment. well said man. love seeing Trey jam n get down DMB. especially Boyd. needless to say, this is an incredible version of this song!
WOW!!! This was my very first DMB show, tripping balls, everyone in the audience thought Trey was Clapton at first... LOL. I had no idea what an amazing magical night I was in for. Such great memories. Thank for posting.. mind = blown
I was there too! Still have the DMB t-shirt I bought. So stoked to have stumbled into this video. Drove up from Santa Barbara to see the show and then down to LA to see another a few nights later. Macy Grey was opening and played the same 30 minute show note for note at both concerts. DMB played two almost completely different sets. I'll always remember how happy Dave and Trey were to see each other, if memory serves, Dave gave Trey a hug and commented that they "hadn't see each other for quite some time." Would have been right before the video picks up here, but it was really special. Is the full concert online?
maybe it was before the quality was better or something. regardless this is an amazing version of Lie in ours Graves, and probably the longest version I know about. DMB + Trey is so sick!!
I'd wondered this too. Phish was on hiatus in 2001 and the first TAB summer tour started in July, guess Trey was hanging out in the Bay for other non-live music related reasons.
I dig it.. but I’m also digging a ditch for heathcliffs haiku warriors. I’ll back you up if u drink too much, but I have so much to say about dancing nancies. Remember two things, don’t drink the water, and don’t burn the pig. But eat drink and be merry... I’m drunk and this seemed like it was going somewhere, and that it was funny but it isn’t and there is no rhyme or reason. Christmas song
