There's alota of birthdays in April. Happy belated birthday 🎉 Also, a tip for hanging ur undies . . . I use clothes pins, hangers and hang them in the bathroom on the shower curtain rack. Hand washing them is better for them anyway❤️ It's also nice to see daily, everyday things. It's fun to see. You're energy is always fun and amazing. You put fun in boring a$$ $hit. I mean witchy racking the leaves, awesome.❤️
I know u said u couldn’t patch up every hole, just a quick help u can stuff Brillo pads (stainless) in holes u find , they don’t like that stuff and won’t usually mess with it. Happy Birthday. 🎂
@Lèmon Lēe But the van vids are about the same, taking life as it happens and enjoying all of it. Go watch some of her older van vids with a few apartments and travel stories mixed in. This is who Hannah is, not just cabin in the woods. That said, she IS really happy in the cabin right now, definitely and I really enjoy watching her tackle her all her projects.
@@wisecoquette3227 no one mentioned money, they said living simply and modestly both meaning small not a lot or an abundance of. So , they enjoy the fact that she dosent need everything in the world to be happy. A cabin with cute lil mice is enough.
@@wisecoquette3227 I’m sure if they were worried about the cost they would have mentioned it. But I guess it’s good to know before hand if people are planning ideas like this.
just imagine it's the same mice coming back everyday... Hannah: daily routine releasing pet mice mice: daily routine going back to that human's place to get caught and released
i've been feeling really sad because im 19, jobless, a dropout and people around me keep putting pressure on me to live according to their versions of success. Watching your videos reminds me that there's a life out there full of //fulfilling// responsibilities that have to do with working for yourself and not for a corporation. It inspires me so much that I can see people living a life where they work hard, but they are happy because the work they are doing feeds their soul, like being a youtube vanlife nomad or a content creator that uses their platform or small business to fund their desired lifestyle
Omg! I’m going through something very similar! I love watching these because it reminds me that even though I’m a drop out, if I put my mind to something, I can do it with a little willingness and courage. We don’t need a diploma to be successful, fuck that piece of paper. Focus on self-love, mindfulness, and finding out what you really want to do in life by trying new experiences! You got this girl!!
@@wyattcole829 YESSS!!! I swear!!! I’ve been thinking ab it for SOOOO LONGGGG!!! Like I don’t even need to go anywhere lmfao I’ll live in my van in the parking lot of my job fuck itttt
@@SlimG44 i feltttt!! tbh i might just do travel photography and live in a van💀 im telling my future self to remember to look at these comments a year from now.
You asked if we want to see just daily stuff? YES. Honestly a lot of what you are doing is what I’m considering for retirement (yeah, I’m old!), the daily stuff is what will make it or break it.
Of all the guys who appeared in your channel, I feel like Joey is the most comfortable around you and the camera. The vibe I’m getting is that he’s such a chill and natural guy. No cam consciousness whatsoever :)
Actually, I'm more interested in daily life than road trips. I'm too old to live like you do. So, I live vicariously via you and Isabel, and others. I had the chance to refurbish a three bay, hundred year old shed, at my sister's farm. But, she died two years ago. So, that went out the window.
My two cents ... You don't always have to entertain me. I also like it when you take me along with you, whatever you're doing. It's like hanging out. You can wash your undies if you want, just chat while you do it, like in today's video! Congrats to your friend on his accomplishment!
I used to live in a house that had a little mouse that would come visit my room. He was so darn cute and I loved him so much I would leave food out for him and watch him eat. We chose to co-exist and live our best lives together. No diseases were had. Modern day Cinderella. :)
The everyday life content is honestly my favorite. As someone who lives deep in the city surrounded by noise and traffic and people, watching your lifestyle makes me feel peace and gives me an escape! Give me all the mouse rescues and undies washing 😂
Feedback: When you tell life stories, or have deep thoughts, you can be doing about anything and it’s fun. I feel like watching you is like hanging out with a good friend. Not knowing what to expect is part of the fun of your channel. Also, I’m team get a cat.
I don't think she would approve of the cat playing with (torturing) and killing the mouse - and I love that about Hannah 👌💞💖 she even gave that weak mouse a snack before she released it 😍
Keep going with the normal! My girls are 7 and 9 and when they watch you rake it is more interesting for them to rake after. They are raking "like Hannah" LOL Show it all - dishes, laundry etc it is really helping this girl out! Keep going!
My naturopath recommended two great remedies for anxiety which helped and now I don’t need as often. They are True Calm by NOW or Rescue Remedy by Bach Flowers (both supplements you can find in a health food store or online). There are cheaper versions of Rescue Remedy and are often known as Five Flowers or Distress Remedy or some other name, so it depends on budget. They are non-addictive, but help. Also, Bach Flowers have several other remedies (38 in all, I think) that address a variety of different emotional issues to help target whatever seems to be an issue at the time. Hope this helps!
@@vtmielfgirl hi! thanks so much for this. Sadly, i am not so sure if any of the two (or both) are available in our area but i really appreciate this :)
Yes! It's a little bit like visiting a really good friend. Many years ago, I met up with a cousin who has the same first initial, same last name, looked a lot like what I looked like in those days and she had ended up working at the same university so she was often getting my postal mail. So we reconnected - lost sight of each other in our childhoods - and she came over and we stood in my small kitchen chopping vegetables and so on as if we'd always been doing that, was a really nice experience, that instant connection of being able to do things well together. Watching Hannah is a little bit like that too, like you're cooking and eating the meals and chopping the wood and all the great tips you end up with are a bonus, such as about how to care for Pothos and whatnot. I was about to do a kitchen project today but someone's taken my drill's chuck key and it's a bank holiday over here. So now I am watching Hannah do stuff in HER kitchen and the wind is having a blast outside and it's raining but we're also having the first not cold night of the year. It all ads up to VERY COSY! Crackers, wine etc cheese missing at the mo but that's all. I often keep her videos "unwatched" as a little treat, do not always watch them right away but leave them for the evening or for a moment like this. Depends.
ahh the obligatory “this is water not wine” comment kills me everytime! even if it was wine we wouldn’t judge you Hannah, you are such a hard worker you absolutely deserve to unwind sometimes. you have inspired me so much. i’ve had a very difficult year and i was depressed and honestly bedbound for about a whole month. i’m very ashamed of that but then i found your channel and fell in love with life again. i was inspired to buy a pothos plant like the one you have in your van and i spiraled into a full blown plant addiction! i already have three different pothos varieties!! i spend so much time outside now, i’m planting my own vegetable garden and sunflower garden, and i’m buying chickens and geese soon. i’m so very excited to just be a baby backyard farmer. i’m not trying to be corny but watching your channel and soaking up your energy has really turned my life around and i can’t thank you enough for that.
Cassie Jones I was in a very dark place when I found Hannah’s channel, but thought, I didn’t have to be so miserable...so I just started letting my heart guide me and that’s always to animals and nature!!
@@kristacalai9773 Yeah, Hannah does that! She has this wonderful gift of lifting people up and making the world a better place. Pleased to hear that you're feeling much better. Sometimes, it's like the weather. There is always sunshine in the future but when you're in the middle of bad weather, it's often hard to imagine. (I'm a bird fan, too.)
I am 73 years old with a young spirit, that's why I have seen all your videos. You are an amazing girl, full of energy and great ideas, I wish I could live again and being like you. Take care beautiful girl.
My grandpa died this morning tomorrow’s my 16th birthday ever since I was a little girl I dreamed about my sweet 16 but now instead of a happy memory I’ll remember that I kept putting off going to visit him I was going to read him pokie bear and show him the pictures I drew but I just kept saying tomorrow and now there’s no tomorrow I truly hate myself right now this video distracted me from that for just a little bit seeing you is the only thing that’s calmed me down thank you
I'm sorry Brenna. I hope you somehow have a good birthday tomorrow. 16th birthdays are hyped up to be way more than they actually are. You can make your day special in your own way, hopefully your family helps
I’m sorry for your loss Brenna. Your grandpa, having the wisdom of age, would understand that what we want to do, we don’t always do. We are humans with many frailties but your grandpa knew your heart and would want only peace of spirit for you. He knew your love.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope things get better ❤️ I always had a “sweet sixteen” not to long ago and it didn’t go as I expected it to as a little girl either 🥺❤️I made the best of it and made sure to make memories anyway ❤️I hope you have a good day
@@terrye7579 This is exactly right. And now you've learned a meaningful life lesson about life being short and putting in effort to do things with the ones you love. I'm sure you will cherish moments with your family and friends more now and at the end of the day, your grandpa knew how much you loved him and is in a better place
You asked "let me know if you find this entertaining..." YES, I love watching others work while I avoid doing my own work. Almost makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something too.
Absolutely want to see this...nothing you do Hannah is just "normal" life. Your interaction with the world is often filled with laughter and just funny spots. You also often demonstrate amazing skills and have a "just do it" attitude that is contagious (and you do it in a dress!). Love your videos! hugs, Lucy
you may have standing dead trees on your property that may be seasoned enough to use for firewood. 19:36 it's the jump cuts with the audio filter applied that's why it kept getting loud and quiet. if you put the whole clip on a new timeline (sequence, nest depending on your editor), apply the audio filter to the whole clip on the new timeline, then place the new timeline on your working timeline, then do your jump cuts, it will be consistent.
This is the first time Joey showed up in your videos! It's cool that he showed us the cool product that he (and his buddy) made. It's more awesome that you have been showing him support and have been proud of him from day one. Well even before day one as childhood besties. 😊
As an Argentinian who use a Bombilla to drink Yerba Mate, I can see the similarities and I appreciate that your friend give us credit!!! Best of luck to him
It's definitely an awesome invention and congrat's to them for making it happen! As a coffee lover, I am wondering about the grounds sitting in the cup for that long...the longer coffee grinds sit, it can get bitter, too strong (for some people) and affect the taste. Wondering if anyone else noticed this point as well. It's DEFINITELY a cool thing to have for camping, adventures and whatnot though! So much easier and less cumbersome.
Content ideas:* make or install owl houses. Could help for your mouse visitors.*saving dryer lint (sure its kinda weird from a laundromat but very helpful) and stuffing it into tp rolls for a quick fire starter stick.
Happy belated birthday to you! (And Molly and Jenna, too; plus congrats to Joey on his awesome creation). I'm pretty sure that most of us would gladly watch you do anything, be it a van adventure, a project, daily life stuff, coffee montages, spaghetti mishaps, or one-off tutorials. It's your personality that makes your channel great, so don't sweat the content.
Hi, Hannahlee. As far as the mice go, yes they will always find a way in. As long as you clean their droppings up, you'll be fine as far as diseases go.
The coffee straw is an awesome concept. Just pledged and noticed the ad photos on his Kickstarter page. Great way to help out a friend! Hope he does well.
Its awesome but not anything new. Its a copy of something already existing. I have one at home. Same filtering system and all. Hope he just gives credit to those who already invented it many years ago!
I do enjoy watching the everyday stuff. It's like your van life, but indoors and with some more amenities. It's also just interesting to see how other people live especially when I'm feeling stuck in my apartment.
Not gonna lie lol at first I was like patch up holes so the mice can't get in. Then you start talking about how you saved the little thing by getting it warm and giving it snacks. lol My entire perspective changed with one sentence from you. You're Awesome!
I bought a sturdy metal hanger from Amazon; there are 10-12 clips on it to hang undies, socks, bras, or any other item. You can double them up if you have a lot of laundry or buy two hangers. Then I just hang it somewhere until the stuff dries. Also, there's something that makes chopping wood much easier but I don't remember the details.
Just seeing the way someone else lives is very entertaining. I think it is good for some people who never get to see how people live in a rural area. So many people have no idea what it’s like. I live in a rural area and lived even more rural when I was a kid so it’s nothing new to me. But I know a lot of people who have no clue and sure could learn a thing or two from your daily routine. For me it’s that you are inspiring, cute, young and interesting.
Yes, I want to watch your "normal" life!! I find it so fascinating! I'm here to watch you, your projects are fun too but I love watching your day in the life videos even more ❤️
Hannah, if you ever change your mind and want to stop the mice, here's an easy mouse fix: You can seal the perimeter of your cabin from the outside with 1/4 hardware cloth and clear caulk, maybe 4 to 6 inches height. It basically seals off where your house meets whatever kind of foundation you have, whether it's a basement or a slab. The mice get in through tiny holes that are very close to ground level. It's worked really well for us! Love the Karate Kid style ballet in the snow!
I braced myself for the mouse cuteness and was still overwhelmed regardless. It has absolutely no business being that adorable! edit: that comment after the first mouse. Can you imagine my delight to find the whole vlog filled with mice???? Sorry Hannah, but you have to keep them around.
i absolutely love your videos. my husband and i are working towards this goal as well. buying land and owning/building a cabin in the woods. the city is exhausting and i yearn for a calmer life in the woods
Hi Hannah, I live in rainy Paris and I have to tell you: watching your cabin videos has been a wonderful dreamy escape this past year. I would love to leave the city for a simple house in the countryside.
I love your somewhat pioneer lifestyle. You inspire me! This 60 year old is even changing my home decor by following your lead. I also love the music you play, straight outta my day! Keep it up my little hero!!! ❤
5 gal bucket, the plunger looking clothes washer wand, a cheap washboard for stained clothes, a foldable clothes dryer rack that fits in your tub after you wash them. All on Amazon for around 50.00 total. The cleaning supplies store away in the bucket and the folding drying rack could be stored on the side of your fridge.
Everything is interesting that you do, because it's you and you're interesting. I think you can feel pretty safe in just doing whatever you want to and your subscribers will watch. It's you!!!
A great tip for this kind of raking is to use a tarp and just rake your piles onto it, then you can drag it, very easy when dry like what your working on, smaller piles of heavy/wet work too.
I really enjoy all your content including your day to day. I live alone and get severe depression. Your content makes me feel less lonely and inspires me to get up and work on my own projects :) Thanks so much Hannah. From Australia 🇦🇺
I love seeing the projects you do around your cabin! I've literally watched the cabin videos twice now. They are always so calming for me! But any videos you do are calming, and I love seeing your daily videos too:)
I personally think the daily life videos are kind of helpful to people who want to explore living the rural in a cabin lifestyle without actually doing so just yet. This way, they get an idea of what kind of work goes into it on a daily basis. They can see all the struggles, and the ups and downs and such things and they can make a more informed decision or at least go into it with a better idea of what they are getting into. I’ve had some pretty serious health issues this past year and watching you is kind of exhausting for me. But I’m learning what I definitely don’t want to have and do next year when we build our earth home and what I definitely DO want to. So... I’m pretty grateful for the daily life kind of stuff. I mean, I realize we don’t get the full experience through a video like this, obviously there’s going to be a lot of things you highlight on and quite a few things left out but it is what it is. We still get the idea and that’s important too. You know? 😊
Hannah... You have such a wonderful and beautiful and interesting and happy personality and We Love You! Keep doing your thing on the daily around your cabin and bringing us along with you. The cabin, you, the incredibly cute mouses, everything is enchanting so no worries. Love you and love your content....
Hannah I hope you never change your big beautiful heart. I cherish the way you have compassion over the little guys. You are a diamond in the rough. So many people can learn from your videos. Thanks a million.
You are so much fun to watch! You could be sitting on a rock in the middle of nowhere and be more entertaining than many RU-vid channels I do not look at anymore.; It is because you are so real and genuine, and dog-gone-it, just plain fun!
You asked what we want to see. I think you need to throw a kind of picnic or dinner party for your friends/family now that you're back. You'll have to plan and prepare for it. (Okay, I'm using the term "plan" kind of fluidly). And I suspect you're going to have a garden or some kind of outdoor modification to your outdoors which would be fun to see as it progresses. You're fearless and full of energy. You're a pleasure to watch.
I think it's not that your typical day is ENTERTAINING, it's that for 20 minutes while I'm mindlessly working or eating dinner, I can watch you do things in an entertaining manner. Some how cut jumps and music and random engaging dialogue turn something basic into something consumable. It breaks up my day and is easy to engage/ invest in. So don't worry about your tasks so much, it's not about whatcha doing but the vibes one gets when watching :)
Honestly love watching whatever you do, daily stuff, the coffee making x1000. I pretty much watch your videos for comfort, Its a way to feel less lonely when I'm just sitting around and maybe drawing or eating dinner. So yes to the more daily stuff! :D
Yes please show us more of your daily life it’s so inspiring and makes me feel good because you’re so natural like me and you’re just being yourself which is so comforting these days. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Take care.
