I had horrible money management skills--bad credit, school debt, uncaring attitude to credit. Mid thirties, I couldn't do anything. I got an overnight job at a warehouse, stopped spending anything I didn't have to, stopped eating out, stopped buying anything I didn't absolutely need. It took nearly three years of 60+ hour weeks to pay everything off and now my life feels so much more free. I feel like I can do anything now. I'm planning a trip to Europe, so I can't recommend money discipline enough.

Yeah, see? A few years and you can be debt free or save up so much money that the next several years you have soooo much freedom. I saved up so much money in 3 years after I was irresponsible with my money and got in a car crash. I turned my whole life around. Now I don't gotta work 60-80 hours a week anymore because I set myself up with a comfy savings and now I'm investing. People are just lazy and want things NOW instead of waiting until later. Wanna know why divorce is so high? Because people WANT to get married, but they don't want to put in the work it takes to have a healthy marriage. It's no different than that.

I am totally opening myself to hate but just thought I’d add a different perspective. I am a life coach and hate the title life coach. It sounds weird/condescending but I have a chronic illness and wasn’t able to work a 9-5 nor go to college to be a therapist like I would have hoped and have been pretty homebound. The thing I am good at is helping people get to the root of their issues. Life coach is a title I can use to help others with the knowledge I’ve gained and make a living for myself but without being a therapist. Just like every field there are good apples and bad. One of the biggest habits I've picked up is asking myself "do I actually NEED this. I know I want it and might could use it but do I NEED it right now. Or is it going to sit there waiting on the possibility I might do something, while I feel bad for doing nothing with it". Then I end up walking away, I may spend 20 minutes wandering around the store thinking about it but 98% of the time I don't waste the money. If it's online, it'll spend a week or more sitting in the shopping cart and then I end up deleting it. If you can go an extended period without it, you didn't need to waste the money on it when you wanted to buy it. It's reached the point where sometimes, I feel bad for even considering buying something I KNOW I don't need.

Bingo! I consider someone who has experienced more life's lessons and challenges in their lifetime. Like someone who is at least over 45. At least at that age, you already understand who you are and have gone through a time when you have a solid foundation of overall stability and discipline. Unfortunately, this woman doesn't have that yet. It will take her some very hard lessons to realize this.

I'm finally paying on my student loans. It took tears and a lot of talking eith my therapist but I managed to stop digging a hole and start filling it. Hate to say it, but most women in the office environment are doing the same thing. They have some easy job they do next to nothing at while charming their way up the ladder. Once you get out of low class jobs, the vast majority of women in the workforce are doing extremely little. This has been recently exposed in reality by so many men just leaving the workforce. It's exacerbated this reality.
@NORBZMUSIC

@@bbbbbbb51 I don't disagree. When I was young, seeing Tony Robbins on my screen kinda got me, now when I see him I want to punch my screen. Same with Tai Lopez, Cardone, RichDadPoorDad, all of them are slimey af and they are STILL grifting 20+ yrs later jumping from trend to trend. Work hard, have self-discipline, be creative, you'll wake up rich one day. Seeing some 27yr old sell happiness and success while falling apart, and ppl are actually falling for it is crazy. There are no shortcuts to a life of abundance sans winning the lotto and that overnight stuff tends to F* most ppl up vs free them, it's always better to earn/respect it.

Interest is a killer, and that's something Caleb often emphasizes and why having high credit card debt is horrible. One piece of advice I could offer if you have a lot of credit card debt is committing yourself to never using your credit card again (cut it up, throw it away), get a consolidation loan for significantly less APR rates, and pay it off. Depending on how much debt you have it may take years, but once you do pay it off, you'll feel so free.

People with a mindset of abundance are people who realise that their thoughts can give them anything they wish for. But they also understand that in order for that to happen, effort is needed. You need the balance of the two, in my opinion.
