That's a big point, playing lis 2 and coming back to the originals the game feels so charged and clumsy, specially if it has the talking while walking feature of 2
Technically Max could cry, but it was just a single “crying” face model that she would abruptly switch to between cuts in a single conversation, there was no gradual “crying transition”, which was so weird

if things are suppose to be alil different I dont get they would make it free for for who already had it. a lot of ppl complained about they everyone spoke in Life Is Strange, and thats something huge for the game itself.
@@tay_yo561 Because they're essentially updating a game with only a few enhancements. They could make it free for existing owners. They choose not to. Instead, they want to sell the same game with the few enhancements at FULL price ($40 on marketplace). So yeah this remaster is either for suckers or newcomers.
@@WhirlingMusic they still need to make their money back and a profit from the money they put into the remastered version for lis and before the storm. Otherwise no one is profitting a benefit unless you own the which which ALOT of ppl have because it was free last year and two years ago. So ppl who didn’t pay for it will never getting 100 dollar mastered version for me again so technically no . Id rather pay for a game i love and let the company make a profit. Unless you want De Ja Vu with lif game company again
i'd pay triple the price for a rachel amber game covering the last 6 months she was in arcadia bay theres so much loose ends they have to tie up........also i would love to play as a game with life after chloe and max left arcadia bay
the update: - max caulfield has glossy eyes and the tiniest amout of movement in her -still- clay hair. -rachel caked on more makeup that’s literally it

I understand that it's not a huge difference, but a lot of the scenes look a lot better than before. Life is strange is one of my favorite games, and seeing it get more attention is cool. Im excited for this
this is just like Dark Souls (1) Remaster. W the only purpose of selling a more expensive version of the same game for the ppl that didnt play back then
@@fabiopadredemelo4638 Nah, I bet there would be even less enhancements, at least DS1R got some tiny lighting/reflection enhancements. This one is mostly identical without a frame-by-frame comparison.
@@fabiopadredemelo4638 DS1 actually got a few quality of life improvements + graphics are nicer. This looks more or less identical to the original. Like I can't tell what they 'improved'. The series already had laughable animations and graphics in some places and this looks the same but... darker? I guess
@@jub8891 True, the frame rate is steady all the time even on Nintendo Switch, I thought handheld mode would be awful but was so happy to be proved wrong.
While they’re remastering the graphics, an important change I’d like to see is Ashly Burch voicing Chloe in the remaster of Before the Storm (who couldn’t originally due to video game voice actor strike at the time). Her performance as Chloe made the character iconic in the original game.
@@moonzeiw Yeah its kinda of a weird feeling but it makes them stand out a bit, in the old game you it was hard to tell the difference from Chloe to Max's eyes but chloe's was always lighter then hers, Its weird but cool!
Why would it be a “remaster” when it’s on the same console? Could’ve at least upscaled it to PS5 to give it a purpose, the “PS5” version, but no, it’s a remaster of a PS4 game on the PS4.

I love this game I do, its one of my all time favs, but I don't see enough of a change to make it worth buying a second time. Sorry, this remaster is a miss for me.

Yeah, they also tried changing some physics but it made it look kinda weird and unnatural, for example the hair and eyes of the characters, and Rachel's face idk it seems so unecessary

@@moonzeiw I’m pretty sure parts of this trailer were from an early build or something because one of the screenshots shows a much better version of Rachel compared to the version you see in the trailer.

These are absolutely the weakest remasters of 2 of my favorite games of all time. I've never seen such little work done to "improve" what doesn't need to be touched. The amazing stories are what make the games. I'll get these if they ever become a free upgrade, otherwise I'm not wasting my money.

What a waste of time. Sure the game didn't have the best graphics but the artstyle was pretty unique. This remaster adds almost nothing to it. If they didn't do the side-by-side wipe effect most people probably wouldn't even be able to tell this is a remaster.
For anyone browsing comments, the bugs in the remaster have been squished over the past 2 years. This is 100% the definitive way to experience these games. IMO
Hmmm, I was expecting a bigger improvement to be honest, I'll play it again only because I loved playing it when it came out, I just wanna see how different it REALLY is as a whole. EDIT: This should've been a free upgrade to those that already bought the game, in my opinion, it's not like there's a dramatic improvement that justifies paying for this game again.
Sounds like a waste of money because you’re spending money for maybe a slight improve of a game you already played. Not to mention at a more expensive price.
Actual proper lyp syncing, more expressive faces, the hair moves with the wind and the tears look better. The improvements are there. You just have to search for them

What's amazing is its not a struggle to choose endings anymore because Decknine and Dotnod made the Sacrifice Arcadia Bay canon ending in their canon sequel comics Life is Strange Dust.
These games get a lot of hate because they’re not games, they’re interactive stories, this one is the best and got me hooked. Cannot wait for Wolf Among Us 2 🐺

@@lyniepower no not the collectible mode, I mean an actual photo mode where you can make screenshots in-game with a free-cam. You could pose Max too and add a couple of filters.

I'm a long time fan of Life Is Strange, one of if not my favorite game series of all time, but I'm not getting the remastered bc 1. there isn't enough like updates in it to be worth full price for me personally and 2. I really like the og graphics, they got that kinda nostalgic vibes, I feel the same way with games like Spyro I grew up with

You should buy the ultimate edition of Life is Strange True Colors, it's 80 usd total. 60 for True Colors, 20 for remasters. Also, look at the screenshots on the Life is strange page, it looks 10 times better than here. the lip sync from this trailer alone is 10x better than what it was.
With all these Life is Strange games having their own casts of characters, it makes me wonder if the final game in the series will feature all the living characters from all the games. With that many main protagonists in one game and the fans expecting to play as each character one last time, they’d have to make it so you can switch between the characters at will or have certain parts of the game for each of the protagonists.
I think you'll like it. It's hard to hate this game once you start familiarizing yourself with the characters. The concept of reversing time is really interesting too. Opens up dialogue options and a few puzzles.
For everyone disappointed by the trailer, don't worry. There's a theory going around that the trailer was made back in 2020 and was supposed to be presented at E3 that year, but it never happened. So people say Square Enix used this very old trailer for this year's E3. This would make sense, because when you look at the newly released screenshots, you can see they're way better than what they've showed in the trailer. Especially that new screenshot with Rachel. -John Derat

Is anyone having trouble with the save files in game on life is strange remastered? It used to be so simple before the remastered version.. I’ve been overlapping them on accident.
The original release was a fairly low budget indie game so I think it's fair to call this a remaster, I remember it having a fair few rough edges and a terrible stealth segment in the final chapter. Fix those and you've got a sale!
You know I know it’s a remake of the same game but I’m just so hyped to see Max and Chloe again and boy would I love to see a new game with them I hope that’s possible someday I love these characters so much I love the new ones but I don’t like them as well two there’s just something about them that I like more Sean and Danielle did say something about Max and Chloe them up like a whole lot more oops I said that too many times my bad 🤩 but very excited to see them
