There business plan to rent them for promotional events is actually more profitable in the long run because there is less cost of goods or inventory issues, just maintaining the Dino equipment and if they choose to grow or expand, construct more. Mark sees the benefits right away.
I went and saw one of these exhibits as a kid. It was great. Worth the zoo club membership and all. Good memories. Zoo was packed and sold out the first week.
I bought six of these and began renting them for birthday parties, corporate events, to zoo's, even some retail stores have rented them from me and put them outside to draw attention to sales they were having. I started with one, made my money back and then some, then bought 2, and 3, and kept reinvesting the profits, now I am looking to scale, and buy six more, because people are asking me for them but the six i have are already rented, I cant keep them in stock. THANKS SHARK TANK!
@@cornmangamer5225 I get that a lot. Plus, it’s not a Dinosaur. It’s a book that lists words in groups of synonyms and related concepts. Like a Dictionary or an Encyclopedia.
I actually saw robotic dinosaurs like this in Bangkok. It was at a place called "Dinosaur Planet" and it was $18 to view them. The place sadly was tore down during the pandemic, but the owner's said that the business had already paid for itself.
I’m here after I saw that Mark bought a small town in Texas and wants to fill the town with a bunch of these things and make a “Jurassic Park” like town 😂
Am i the only one who thinks Robert is just capping with the "He gave you a more generous offer" card so he could easily say he's out? he already used this reason so so so many times.
We have animatronic dinos in dino centric parks and my son of 8 loves them to bits and so do I. And I’m 52! It’s incredible what they find out constantly about them; and if you actually think about it, they existed a factor of 20.000 years longer than us, which makes them the most successful species ever to walk this earth. Absolutely well earned, including their child focused business case! And I agree with them: gotta love Mark!
Update: Lessem closed the deal with Mark Cuban shortly after the episode aired and the partnership has proven to be successful in the short time since then. Dino Don has received numerous business offers and Lessem anticipates that with Mark Cuban on board, the company will be able to attract more venture capital and expand its brand recognition. With the new investment, Dino Don plans to introduce a technical update to robotics designs and introduce a dinosaur tour called Dino Don’s T-Rex Safari, for the late fall. In an interview with Authority Magazine, Lessem remarks that Mark’s impact as a Shark has been greater than just money. The billionaire Shark offered to give Dino Don a ghost town that he had purchased near Dallas Texas, suggesting it be turned into a robotic dinosaur attraction - Dinosaur City. Plans are currently underway for the attraction with the hopes of opening in summer 2022.
Lori's excuse was just laughable. They didnt give you a map of the zoo? They tour what value would that even have? Just because you are not interested dont try and guilt trip them that their presentation was bad and you are out because they didnt bring you a pie chart.
Yeah she’ll usually coward out of a deal most of the time. Only when it fits her existing channel she’ll do a deal. Zero risk for her. Which is fine BTW! Just say that! “Your dinos don’t fit in my shopping basket” or whatever. This is simply guilt tripping indeed.
@@jwvandegronden that’s not really true i’ve seen her take so many deals of products that don’t fit her brand but she knows she can help them with her connections and if she believes in the product then she does it
@@alohamarzia when you're right, you're right. Of course she does deals by herself, but most of the time she either teams up or is out, is my observation, But I have indeed also seen episodes in which she went for the kill.
@@jwvandegronden True but she also has 4 out of the 8 most successful deals of the entire show so she clearly knows how to pick what will make her profit and what she has the connections for
I remember asking my parents to take me to all the dinosaur exhibits at the museums and when they rarely came to small stadiums. I think they’ll do fine
Val Jones here. Actually, if anyone still cares, it was not set up in advance and the sharks did not see it. When recording the show, I thanked all the Sharks for their support of small businesses, but Mark in particular for offering to help small businesses at the start of COVID (which he did). So if we'd not gotten a deal with Mark or gotten with him and someone else, the show could include that bit and that's what we'd have been thanking him for. Either way, it would work. Always have a backup!;-)
The thing that blows my mind is dinosaurs were REAL. They aren't fantasy in a book or movie, like imagine a scene of a T-Rex battling with a Stegosauras, that WAS REAL! Now if only we could clone them back to life like Jurassic park...
Mark was smart enuf to give them a deal...growing a product business has a lot of overheads ...lots of cost involved to grow which reduce the net profit substantially...this business doesn't have much input cost involved as the inventory is already established..now just support the marketing side..and get the money flowing in ur pockets..the net profits are gonna be amazing...only marketing involved..one of the best deal
This is pretty interesting. Im 30 now. I remember being 12/13 yrs old, visiting my local zoo for thus type of dinosaur exhibit, and around 19/20 yrs old for Cedar Points dinosaur exhibit, and 24/25 for Clevelands Natural History Museum tour with non moving dinosaurs for their exhibit. Old idea or constantly growing one?
@@HSMak I'd take the watermelon and threaten the guy that i will throw it on to his face unless he gives me that apple , his wallet, his car keys ,his home and his wife. Checkmate
we can draw comparison from the bones of the throat and voice box area and size of chest and diaphragm to compare them to modern birds and make assumptions based on how we know certain parts affect sound. but no. no one REALLY knows haha
@@TheZachw55 Yeah exactly. They do know how the T-Rex sounded. And it's not like in the movies. The T-Rex in particular, used "Closed Mouth Vocalization" to communicate, since it couldn'r actually roar.
Just like the some of you, I have lost my faith on people explaining to me how dinosaurs looks and sounds. Feathers and fur does not fossilize. Science is losing it for me. It sounds really cool and everything, but…..
If they had shown a video presentation of what all the dinosaurs could look like, including the larger sized ones, that would've been better than explaining how big they could be. Show...don't tell! Still someone could make their own version of jurassic park with this for kids and really turn it into a cool learning experience. Put in an outdoor drive in type movie screen to watch dinosaur exhibits and movies like Jurassic Park (old and new) because they are classics, and they could also have stage shows. Damn...I should do this 🤔

I sometimes miss working in an animatronic dinosaur park but it was just such a bad business for the location. Still have amazing memories of kids faces lighting up when they saw the TRex for the first time.
@@soulfulmaple Seems like they work most of it out in advance and then they do the negotiation for the cameras. It would have been a bit weird if Mark Cuban said it was the stupidest thing he ever saw in his life and then they turned around to walk away in shame to reveal "I love Mark Cuban" shirts.
children?!?! i am a 34 year old male and i fucken love dinosaurs!! i look forward to every jurassic park movie, i love going to any theme park and shows....WE ALL LOVE DINOSAURS!!
I love dinosaurs so I was trying to pay attention and not come to the comments but I'm really thinking this is the start to a scary movie. Like Jurassic Park but maybe even more scary
When they discussed the procentages with Mark when he said 25% i woulve showed my back first. So that he sees the "We love you Mark Cuban" and then say make it 20% and we got a deal. But hey what do i know!
lori said she needs visuals? are you kidding me? how about 2 full grown roaring blinking moving dinosaurs? you know what greiner, this time, im out, of this video.
