Pity, is not one thing Pedro S. Navarro wants others to have toward those who are visually impaired on campus or around the globe. As one of the 30 plus SFA students who suffer from an eye disease, Navarro is evolving his eyesight challenge into a life-learning experience. While his eye disease, Retinitis Pigmentosa, worsens Navarro’s knowledge and education about orientation and mobility gets stronger. He is currently president and coach of SFA’s Beep Baseball Sport Club, majoring in rehabilitation and a historian for Braille and Cane Club. After earning his diploma, he hopes to help others, like him, who are also visually impaired to live better life and adapted to an independent lifestyle.
