I love this message as well. I was raised to chase financial success and higher education. I graduated college but did not get a masters or a graduate degree to the disappointment of my parents. I work in the medical field and it's exhausting and like a factory. Long story short. I quit my full time job and work part time. I down sized my life just so I could take care of myself physically, emotionally and mentally. If I had continued to work as I once did I would be too exhausted to date and meet people. My idea of success is to have a partner and a family. Sometimes you have to make a choice for yourself to the dismay of your family and society. People don't understand why I don't want to work full time or chase a dollar. I rather have my sanity and my time. I spend my time working out and reading. I love it. I don't need more material things. We've been sold a lie. I'm so happy for you and I'm glad you are speaking on this. It's not being anti feminist, it's empowering women to make the best choice for themselves and what they want out of life. I want a good man and partner to grow old with lol.

im in a very similar space not only because ive met someone great (he's amazing and i feel so blessed) but also because im not sure i want to become bigger in my career...im a lawyer (lol) but being the lawyer that i am right now makes me very happy...i only work 3 days a week and in my offf time i like baking and catering to him...i love it here and wont let society pressure me to do more. he has his fancy tech job and i have my little baby lawyer job and its just great

I am single (45years old!), happy and love when people find happiness in romantic relationships. I realized smarter not harder is going back to corprate for me instead of freelancing. the key is I don't have to find work in a full time job. think I had to quit corprate to realize things about myself and learn to not be emtionally attached to my job anymore. we go through phases we don't understand! So makes sense you felt like you needed to go to school for a second, I have freinds feeling that way too. And now I am more open to a man if the man wants to pay for me to stay home if we have a kind lmao.

High key happy you chose not to go back to school. I dropped out of college after 2 years after realizing school wasn’t for me. I was doing well and only stayed that long because everything was free (bc of my scholarship), but now I run my own shop and now I’m free 😫🙌🏼. I can travel anywhere I want and now, my next goal is to settle down and live on a farm (or anywhere) with my future husband (God willing).
