I think I was fortunate, looking back to when I was in my 20s I became allergic to all antidepressants. I was an alcoholic and finally got sober and learned the best coping behaviors in AA. I am now 16 years sober and on the carnivore diet, feeling amazing!

For 4 years, I've been doing all the things: keto, carnivore, IF, lifting weights, running...helped 80% but i did eventually need HRT, which has been a miracle finishing tool. Just saying, many of us do all the things...and still benefit greatly from HRT.

I also need it likely from medical menopause. But there are times I feel like ìf I could tweak my diet I may not need them. I am Ketovore for the most part and "accidently" fast for 18 to 36 hours lol😂

Anyone else can relate I got factor v leiden/mthfr I cannot do HRT ...they say no other options Plus insulin resistant its so hard to be in menopause and to loose weight I put 55 lbs going from perimenopause to menopause Would love this topic covered if ever you do please tag me 🙏 I know i am not alone Started more clean diet and fasting pre/probiotics b1/b12 magnesium multivitamin vit d Just started will see how this works for me Good luck to all of us ...very grateful to have found dr. Boz and dr pelz thank you for all the knowledge you bring to us

So excited I found this for myself, but that Dr. Boz has a program for military is amazing!!! Having to use military healthcare, is a nightmare! Between Covid shot requirement making healthcare professionals leave in droves, to the more pill emphasis down to the requirement that everyone leaves with some form of RX, even if that is Advil. If the soldier is drinking 10 diet sodas a day and with pizza or Burgerking, no amount of RX will fix that...but they never ask...hard to get over PTSD with a terrible diet.

Very interesting. I will have to try the goats milk. Dr. Boz said mct, at ketocon to me but I didn’t get enough how with that recommendation. I can and should search more specific terms although i did find this. BTW, you are a great interviewer.

I water fasted for 4 days the most so far. Stopped because of constipation. Laxative teas help but I kind of flip out if I don't poop every day. Now, I'm on day 3 of a 5day water fast (Mindy inspired me!!) I hurt my radius bone & I hope I get relief like you did with your Achilles heel. I hardly pooped this morning. Is it ok to not poop for a day or 2? If I keep not eating, I might not poop. Today, I'm 137lbs, 5'4'' and goal is 128. I'm a 64 yo female athlete. I started drinking my LMNT drink and hopefully, that will help. Thank you for any comments, advise, opinions!

I love the fact that you mentioned Oprah and her talking about hormone replacement therapy. I think people like Oprah are promoting what can be sold in hormone replacement therapy has a price tag natural remedies are low cost.

Better title is BDNF and Aging Well Hrt is a lifesaver, but it works even better with fasting, etc. Lifestyle change makes it work really well. There is no lifestyle that can substitute or replace missing estrogen. Any woman thinking this is not understanding the big picture. Hot flash relief is not the primary purpose of hrt. I am way more concerned about osteoporosis, alzheimers and heart disease

When I wake up I don’t eat anything, I want to stay in a fasted state and hopefully make it to autophagy while I continue to fast throughout the day to hit 20 hours. But the first thing that I drink besides my lemon water and then apple cider vinegar is black coffee with a splash of MCT oil. I see on the back of the label that the MCT oil has 130 cal and 14 g of fat… So does that break my fast? 🤔

Dr mark Hyman was talking abt a diabetic drug (I think it was metformin) and it was comparing a diabetic that did nothing, took metformin or did lifestyle change. The drug patient improved results by 31% but lifestyle was 58% & it was with a crappy diet.

I started ketogenic 2 months ago. Taking MTC oil C8 with my coffee. My A1C went down from 5.7 to 5 However, my LDL increased from 124 to 197. I don’t think high saturated fat consumption is a good idea…

I’m not sure what’s going on with me..I’m 55 this month. My cycle was erratic and I had not had one in many months. Started keto, fasting, etc. got to day 15 then my period came. So I started the reset over to day one. Now I’m on day 15 again and my period started again! I just finished the last one a week ago! What’s going on and what do I do now eating and fasting wise?

I am on bio identical hormones - my doctor doesn’t ask about my eating and tells me i have to be on the hormones the rest of my life. Is this actually true?? Also, the troche hormone is flavoured with peppermint - can u actually take my troche during a fast or is it breaking the fast? I have to take it morning and night 12 hours apart. 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤I would really appreciate your insight.
