Hi. Would you know if there's a way to model or simulate the Avata in Liftoff? Also, when using the FPV, can you adjust the gimble in the simulator? Thanks!
So technically this addon does NOT let you to use any other buttons on DJI FPV Controller except two sticks ? No mode button, no camera angle wheel, no start / pause etc ? Correct ? I'm not sure but non of these switches and buttons are recognized by WINDOWS when it detects as HID controller. only 2 sticks..
Greetings. I been struggling trying to get my DJI Controller 2 to link up to my iMac 24" I can get a charge, but the iMac doesn't see my controller. I paid for a sweet Simulator and have no way to really play it. I refuse to use a gaming controller of any kind. I almost feel I have to buy some sort of alternative RC controller, but after doing some research, I cannot get that question direction answered. I have tried on a couple other RU-vid videos with very little to no success. I have swapped cables a couple different times trying to link the DJI C-2 controller and nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know, I am by far not the only one having this issue. Thanks guys.
Do you know if it operates in the radio frequency bandwidth because if it does maybe you could purchase a cheap sdr receiver to pick up the signal i dont know much about drones or their simulator but i do know your pc probably dosent have built-in radio frequency receivers Hope you work it 😊
I dig the video man. I tried to use my DJI FPV drone as a freestyle drone, and it just didn't work out. It was also my first "FPV" drone. I didn't get the DJI support, so when I crashed the drone before the first payment on the Best Buy credit card was due, I had to learn to fix one broken arm and buy a new gimbal and camera. After I broke it the second time, two arms with the arm bracers, I threw it in the closet and ordered a Nazgul5. I eventually fixed the DJI FPV drone and use it if I want to get a cinematic shot.
Similar story, I just fatal crashed twice but went for the DJI fpv 3rd time ( first time in Combo ) alongside Geprc mk5 and I now I use Geprc for freestyle/manual shots and DJI fpv as a “hanging camera” because I really like this feature and creating mixed shots of both. I was thinkin of Avata the third time but 1) it’s worse in wind and I’m in U.K. lol 2) it sounds absolutely AFWUL 3) I red that for some reason you need to have your IPhone plugged to goggles too when you fly and I was like I’m not having that for sure. I could go with something like Mini if I want a hanging camera, yes - but I hate iPhone screens or RC controllers with built in screen so I use the DJI fpv. I’m now planning to upgrade my gear to Mavik somewhere mid Spring next year just to have better cinematic potential and use to not having goggles 😩 - and when it comes to fpv freestyle I seriously couldn’t be more happy than with Geprc. Absolute gem.
I tried doing what you were doing on the sim but I really suck at it. Quick question, how did you get the DJI FPV on the sim? If there is a way of downloading it, can you please tell me how I can? Thank you.
I purchased an Avata, and seperately months later the FPV Remote Controller 2. I downloaded Steam and Liftoff onto my imac. It recognizes that I have a DJI C5 remote but the sticks do not manipulate the virtual drone, so I try and calibrate and it fails. I don't know what to do and can not even figure out how to navigate back to the right page, this platform is so complicated to navigate, do you know anyone that can help me?
I'm a little confused with the stick controller, if we want to go forward, we push the right download or up, in Dji normal drone, I believe forward to push up in the right stick, right? Thank you
Hey there! i would like to ask if buying the single remote controller of the dji fpv it will let me pratice on the liftoff simulator, thanks, anyway nice vid!
@@dixonoutdoors556 I installed the Steam and bought the liftoff games. My desktop didn't load a driver for any of my transmitters but it worked on my laptop.
I need information how to connect and calibrate the stick controller, do we need the drone or goggles in order the simulator, or simply just the dji remote controller 2 ? I cannot calibrate the stick controller 2 on the steam application, and on my windoqs 10 shown error HS-Data Channel and MA Channel. Could you help to fix these problems? Thank you very much.
any idea how to get out of the blue screen on the DJI goggles V2 when I hook up to this simulator ? Nothing shows up DJI goggles fully updated, I’m using HDMI to USB C adapter and still nothing :/
hi, i have a problem with my controler. Maybe i did something wrong. I changed my sticks to manuel mood and everthing without sticks is available to use in simulator. Do you know what's can be a problem?
Whats the best gimbal angle to set in liftoff to practise for the real world, i have been flying really well in liftoff until recently i tried dji fpv simulator where iam not able to fly forward unless i put the gimbal to its maximum angle!! Please help!
I've become stabile on another sim but I'm flying and spinning all over the place in liftoff. Is there a beginner setting or a drone thats easiest to fly?
Can anybody help me please. I'd like to train in Normal mode, but in Liftoff throtle stick doesn't work like in real dji fpv drone, it just flies, it can't hover. Do you know is there any settings to "fix" it?
@@yaro_888 No worries. You should really try training in acro first. There are a lot of bad habits you dont want to carry over when you switch to acro mode from flying level. Happy flying!
Hi. Please can you tell me how to change to normal mode on this simulator. I can't seem to work it out and I'm too new for manuel mode straight away lol
flown slower drones and model aircraft as a hobby for around 6 years, gone and bought my self the dji fpv as i have always liked the idea, want to practice on the pc, got a high spec gaming pc about 2 years ago, when I connect the dji fpv controller 2 to the pc it makes a connection sound, but my controller dose not show up, do you have any idea what the solution would be as so i can practice before I go out to fly my new drone..
hoping you figured it out, its been 3 weeks, but in case you havent, you have to power the controller. So plug in, you get the sound then typical press, press and hold and power the controller. I had that trouble at first as well :D
I try to use it with 1.4.6 it doesnt work dji fpv controller v2 HID controller comming up at win10 but cannot calibrate ingame.... :/ i cannot find the solution. I try multiple USB A - USBC and USB C USBC cable too.... :/
I've never done FPV since it makes me motion sick on the simulator screen - never tried with goggles which you mention do not affect you in that way. Might have to find someone local to try theirs and see if I could actually do FPV with goggles!
When flying fpv with goggles on, try chewing gum (ginger flavored gum preferred), I heard that helps with motion sickness. Also some pilots enjoy standing whereas I have to sit down because standing makes me queasy. Hope this helps you out & good luck.
I never had a problem with the motion sickness, but you can spectate someone to see if you can handle it. If not I've seen people flying with monitors instead of the goggles. As for the sitting Vs. standing, when I first started flying FPV I sat down, but I've gotten used to it and can either sit or stand. It also helps to lean against your car, wall or a column when hitting the bando.
I don't get motion sick looking at a monitor but I have felt a bit dizzy when flying fpv wearing the DJI FPV googles. It doesn't happen with analog goggles. It's weird, maybe it has something to do with wearing glasses when I use the DJI goggles.
@@wallbanger8389 there is one fpv the captain reviewed with a little screen that either goes on the controller or mounts to goggles that may be a good option. I don't get the effect watching my phone flying around with the mini 2 in regular or fpv so that may be the answer.
@@AirPhotography ty I found out I can use "A" to switch modes . Any tips on how to disable the flight distance and altitude limit... It's the only thing I hate about it
Great video thanks. I got the game and tried it but for me in Normal or Sports mode the drone just lifts upwards to ceiling of map if I dont touch the sticks. Shouldnt it just hover on the spot?
Did you mess with the adjustment screws on the back of the DJI FPV controller for throttle? You do not want them to spring back to CENTER... you want them to stay put where you put it up/down.
There is no hover in ACRO mode. Liftoff can be changed to hover and horizon mode if you want a more "normal" or "sport experience. In ACRO, you have to pull back on the throttle to reduce thrust and or lean the drone forward. You certainly can hover with practice but yeah that shooting up to the sky thing is unnerving the first time, lol. I keep the throttle spring loaded and just hold it down to where I want it.
@@notfound379 Thanks but how can you do that? I had that experience in Normal and Sports mode. I know its supposed to be like that in ACRO but I had it in all modes...
@@mariusaquaticus3102 I'm sorry I have to agree with you. Tried again last night and I agree the throttle was not what I expected. I wonder if it was correct for other drone models and I must apologize! Have fun.
