Lights Out (2016) Movie Reaction! | *First Time Watching* 

I always find it funny that out of ALL horror movies I’m afraid of……this one is the one that makes me the most scared because of how afraid of the dark I am. And this movie is undarrated

so did anyone else notice that he added a shadow walking in his hallway at 5:44

Watching this movie at night with the lights out is a bold choice

This movie is so underrated. I really like the simplicity of the ghost. The black silhouette with white eyes scares the 💩 out of me. 😱

My daughter & I watched this in the movie theater and bawled like big babies at the end. Our theory was that this was actually a pretty good abuse allegory in that the mom was trying to make a toxic relationship (with a ghost lol) work and she was downplaying that her friend was scary & dangerous. Once she was made aware that her children could die from her relationship with the ghost, she ended herself (and the relationship w the ghost) to protect her kids. Also, when we saw this in the theater and everything went black after it was done, the whole theater gasped. Such an effective ghost. 🤣

Have you seen the short this is based on? The woman from the beginning who was flickering the lights was the main person in that short. The video is titled "I Will Never Turn My Lights Off Again", or something similar to that. It's great! EDIT: I've really gotta start waiting until the end of the video before I leave a comment...

I had the nerve to watch this with my friends in the dark and it definitely wasn’t the right move to do so😂. This is a great PG-13 horror movie.

I am SUPER happy you decided to see the short film too. A lot of films today come from a short idea or proof of concept that is usually way better than the full length film made from it, I think you should check for other origin materials for future horror reactions! Could be fun!

The Vigil..that's the perfect movie to watch with the lights out. Very underrated movie and hasn't gotten much attention but it's one of my favorite scary movies. Made me scream out loud like 3 times when I was watching it.

This film is creepy as hell! I enjoyed the film but if they do a sequel I would like if they fleshed out Diana’s past. I think better character development would help the film tremendously. Also a interesting fact the guy who played the dad in the beginning is the actor who played Bella swans father in the twilight series

Not you laughing in the face of a little boy crying that his mom just died! 🤣 Lights Out is a fun movie, not the best or anything, and definitely no bias that the boyfriend was cute. 😅 It's cool they brought the actress from the short film back. The effects were done well, it was pretty cool all the different ways they were able to play with the lighting. For movies to watch in the dark I'm going with V/H/S series (Viral at your own risk cause meh), and The Exorcism of Emily Rose.

The short film was definitely better than the movie. Another short horror film you should react or watch is called, The Maiden. That is one short film I wished was turned into a full movie. Gave me chills.

This was actually a great scary flick. There was a short film of the same name with this concept. I think the lady at the beginning was the same actress from the short film.

The movie was pretty good but not scary enough. The Short film was indeed more effective. Some Suggestions for you for movies that you can watch in the Dark. It Follows Sinister Phantoms The Relic Rec Host (2020) The Descent (2005).

The Black Phone was good. It wasn’t scary to me but I did enjoy it lol. The Empty Man was surprisingly good. Final Prayer was good (found footage type of movie). I didn’t see any reactions for IT, so…IT and IT 2 lol The Nun (part of the conjuring universe.) Season of the Witch (with Nick Cage, also not scary to me but I did also really like it.) The Shrine (it’s got Ice Man’s brother in it. It is…a hidden gem imo.) Thirteen Ghosts (all I need to say is peak 2000’s horror annnd Mathew Lillard.) 1408 (John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson. It’s based on a Stephen King short story. I enjoyed it but it’s not for everyone.) I prefer supernatural horror so most of what I watch is mostly supernatural horror.
