It's okay, I understand. Sprig is (HOPEFULLY) evolving into Floragato soon; and that's all that matters. I can finally rest easy, until I think it's time for Floragato to evolve into Meowscarada.

Oh yeah. Bulbasaur, Bayleef, Snivy, Chespin, Rowlet and Grookey didn't fully evolve while May's Venusaur and Ash's Sceptile and Torterra did. Yeah, we are long over due for a fully evolved main protagonist Grass starter ace that isn't Sceptile.

I really hope both Roy and Dot's team all evolve in their seperate ways, unlike Ash's Pokemon where squirtle, pignite, bulbasaur or buizel didnt evolve even for the very last episode. yet if that is the case I do like the change of a pokemon evolving for the entire season, makes things more fleshed out.

I said this under Raf's post on Twitter, but I'll say it here, as well: I'm not sure how to feel about this. Sprig evolving before Fuecoco just doesn't seem right to me. She hasn't really done anything to deserve evolution yet. She didn't even have a full moveset until last episode. Fuecoco actually has a diverse moveset, and puts in the training to deserve it. I'm not saying that he WON'T evolve, but with how much the writers seems to love making Liko a much better trainer than Roy, even though they should actually be on the same level from what we've seen, I am slightly worried.

Roy's Fuecoco has learned it's 5th Move recently which Fuecoco should be evolving first not second which is very disrespectful and the writers are being somewhat Sexist about having the Female Lead evolving her Pokémon first which isn't right!

You're right about Fuecoco was the one who learned the most moves so it would be fair for him to evolve but I think the reason why Sprigatito would evolve first is because of Paldea's initial 3 in the anime this kitten was the one that stood out the most in battle because She was fast and persistent even though she did not learn as many moves as Fuecoco and because she has not been seen losing in any fight (except against Ann's Oshawott in her first fight and against the Rolycoly of a trainer from the piston city gym in Galar but that was because Liko decided to give up at the last moment), he beat Golduck Onía even though it was not seen how he won and Rob's Fuecoco 2 times, while the poor fire crocodile only had 2 wins and four losses

Excuse me but Fuecoco has learned it's 5th Move already which it should evolve first not Second! Liko's Sprigatito just leaned it's 4th Move which Liko's Sprigatito is evolving first is because she's the Female Lead which to me the series is being a bit sexes!

@@leahschaffer7646all of fuecoco moves it has learned are from its TM list even its flamethrower because no way is it level 28 so it doesn’t go up levels to learn TM moves and almost all of fuecoco battles end before they get knocked out or fuecoco loses so of course it won’t get exp to level up. While liko sprigatito has only learned moves on her level up moveset and she win most battles and knockout Pokémon to gain exp we know with quick attack they are 1 level away from evolving so it does make sense. Also we know liko is the lead protagonist she is always closer and center in promo stuff and all of her family background and sprigatito background story of course it will evolve. Roy doesn’t have any background for his family or for fuecoco we probably see it evolve after seeing what lead to fuecoco being on the ship since it didn’t want anyone to hear it singing maybe people and Pokémon made fun of it’s singing while Roy totally loved it.

Even if that i didn't see 1:40 Meowscarada is like REALLY Popular right now with the spotlight on it since since the reveal, there was even a poll taken by serebii of the Most Popular Pokemon in Japan and Meowscarada was #1 in it. So I would've been quite STUNNED if stayed as a Sprigatito! But im happy its evolving soon!

@@eljordinio7647 It's due to the whole avetion towards bipedal starters. People wanted Sprig to evolve and stay on four legs, but nope, it stood up as soon as mid stage hit. Honestly, I don't even care about if it's bipedal or quadrupedal. If you're a Pokemon that's cool and cute, you're on my team, no doubt. It's the reason I love Cinderace. It's cool, a little cute and entertaining with its showboat-y nature, which is very 'Sonic the Hedegehog' in my eyes. Meow's in a similar boat. It's my 2nd favourite starter.

@@eljordinio7647 Well, Torchic, Rowlet and Scorbunny were already on two legs to begin with. Chimchar's evolution line is a monkey, so that's already mostly human and bipedal, though Frokie and Chimchar still move on all fours from time to time. Greninja and Incin are just sick af, to a point where I don't think anyone can be mad at them for being bipedal final forms. Even I don't know why some people have problems with some starters being on two legs. Like, there's only so much you can do with a Venusaur/Torterra body type, if I have to say something about it. I have no problem with Cinderace being a biped evolution. Heck, Fuecoco's first evo starts on two legs and ends on four legs by Skeledirge. I don't see Skeledirge being mentioned in this convorsation, despite being a sick af quadruped starter evolution. I'm telling you, the Pokemon fanbase is weird sometimes.

Well this isn't surprising. There is zero reason for Sprigatito to not evolve. Unlike Pikachu or other Pokémon like Piplup, where their base form were marketable or the face of the series, Sprigatito's evolution are more popular in Japan. Plus it's been shown throughout the series that Sprigatito is a battler, and clearly wants to be stronger, not like Pikachu or Bulbasaur where they have pride in their base form. The only Pokémon who people should legit be worried about for not evolving is Fuecoco. Not because Fuecoco has shown pride in its base form, but because Fuecoco was one of the most popular base starter Pokémon of Gen 9. For marketability reasons, it would be smart for Fuecoco not to evolve and to be the "baby" starter of this series. The only reason I don't see it happening is because that would hinder Roy's goal. Granted they could make Fuecoco a powerhouse like with Ash's Bulbasaur, Rowlett and Dawn's Piplup, but I think the fan base would be very annoyed. But it would be funny to me as this would be the first time the main Fire starter hasn't evolved in its series since Ash's Cyndaquil, who later evolved in DP.

The fact that this merch shows Liko *with* Floragato is honestly as close to confirmation as anything has ever been in this anime haha. Since it's not JUST a Floragato in the merch, it's Liko *and* Floragato. But it's totally valid not to be convinced, we'll have to wait and see! But in my eyes this is crystal clear confirmation 😁

I'm looking forward to seeing Sprigatito finally evolve. Though I honestly thought Roy's Fuecoco would be the first starter to evolve, I'm fine with it since Sprigatito was my favorite starter line of Paldea. Still curious if Perrin will show up on the Palafin episode?

I’m really really happy about it too! I think Liko’s biggest strengths are the ways that she is different to Ash - it’s what makes her such a great follow-up protagonist to him. So hearing she’s not gonna be banned from evolving her Sprigatito is an awesome sign! 😁

fun fact: Liko's pokedex voice in the dub is the same voice actor for Goh in the dub, and the same voice actor for: Genya (Demon Slayer), Garfiel (Re:Zero), and Nino from the Miraculous movie on netflix.. which is more of a musical than a movie

Liko should stick around for some time. I am not sure how long but depending on how many people are able to accept her & whether Horizons is able to sustain its momentum they should decide. However, I think they will give the Ash treatment to her - many seasons & character developing with each season or so i hope.

I always had the feeling Sprigatito would get to Floragato, just to make battles and episodes more interesting, but with Magical Leaf being introduced, I can see the full Meowscarada evolution in the far future. (Also, I called that Magical Leaf learning episode so hard, now I want my Liko-Charcadet prediction to come true)

Hm, I see, how very interesting, i wonder how Evolution will effect Liko’s and Sprigatito’s Relationship, i will look forward to find out, especially considering that Sprigatito is supposed to be the Pikachu of this Show to some extent, i can’t wait. But yeah, i kind of figured that Evolution would be what’s next on the Agenda for any of the Starter Trio’s Pokémon, especially now after all three of them having Two Pokémon each, I do wonder what the Order of Development will be from here?

I have an Pikachu clone theory: if Roy’s Fuecoco evolves, I probably think he would catch Pawmi because that theory has been going on for which trainer would catch Pawmi on the airship. Also it would bring back the sense of the Ash-Pikachu relationship 😊

I don't like having Liko's Sprigatito evolving first because Roy's Fuecoco learned it's 5th Move recently which Fuecoco should evolve first and Liko's Sprigatito hasn't battle very much which Roy's Fuecoco has battled a lot more! Liko's Sprigatito evolving first is just for the Fan based which is putting her character ahead of Roy's character which isn't right!

I wasn't really surprised by this news as I've had full expectations that sprigatito would evolve, at first I didn't really know if it was legit but seeing as how they only changed nyahoja and added liko as well, this is definitely the real deal bro! After 14 years, the curse is finally broken by the existence of the grass type puss in boots 💚 I'm also 100% thinking fuecoco will also fully evolve as he's not really been treated well in terms of battling.

Excuse me but Roy's Fuecoco has battled a lot more than Liko's Sprigatito has which if you didn't notice that Fuecoco learned it's 5th Move recently which confirms that Fuecoco is higher level than Liko's Sprigatito because Liko's Sprigatito just leaned it's 4th Move!

@@pixelsaidon5032also all the moves fuecoco has learned are TM moves so there is not a level up involved like with liko only learning level up moves and she wins more battles then roy. She is a natural talent in battles while roy has hard work and of course we won’t see fuecoco evolve till we get a ep about fuecoco past I think the same is going to be true with quaxly as well.

I just want this evolution to feel earned. So far, (in my opinion), Liko hasn't done much of anything of note, (especially in regards to battling), so I wonder how they'll go about evolving Sprigatito, if battling is no longer the key force for experience and what not in the world of Pokemon.

I'm pretty sure Liko and Roy are here to stay. They're the new faces of the pokemon anime and the characters we'll follow from here and onward. Generational protagonists are a HORRIBLE idea. It's literally what killed the presence of franchises like digimon and yugi-oh that, while still present, they aren't nearly as prominent as the pokemon anime was. And this was thanks to having a consistent protagonist through the years get invested on. Not to mention that they're already making merch of Liko, Roy and all the other characters.
