He’s just one of those artists that doesn’t age well and musically it’s just not very good. Once you’re out of your young and reckless phase you can’t identify with it anymore. It’s music for immature kids with immature mentalities. Artistically it’s not very clever or deep. Musically it’s not very interesting either in my opinion. I used to look back fondly on my drug days….until I grew up and realized how dumb it was. If I could go back, I would actually choose not to do that stuff because it definitely didn’t set me up for success in life. I used to think I would identify with certain artists from my youth forever but now I can’t stand most of the things I thought were cool in my teens and early twenties. Sometimes you just gotta accept that you liked some terrible music at one point in your life and then move on.

Well I mean… he WAS young and his music would’ve probably changed with time. There was no way he could hav possibly felt the future if he felt it AND if he would have lived. He was just feeling and expressing what he felt at the moment. His music is situational and “RIGHT NOW” or a perception you have at THAT time. Does not mean it will be the same forever.

I never really was into drugs, but i loved this type of music. I kinda still like it, but i don't listen to it anymore and its not because of the drugs, but it's just depressing musicm i wanna stay out of that mindset, even if the music is great. peep was not depressed for the fashion of it. it's, of course, perfectly fine if you dislike him, i even get why many people think his music is shitty, trash and just another random soundcloud rapper or just don't understand his music. so of course if you dislike an artist, i would never expect/ask anyone to have an actual look of what kind of person they are/were/make an effort to look behind the curtains. peep is THE one artist who owns a huge part of my heart and his music helps me through my insanely darkest days. he was such an amazing person. just have a look at "home videos" when he was with his mum or his friends. he loved his mum dearly, when he was with his friends he was always silly, joking around, funny, cute and sweet as hell, hid how utterly lost he felt inside to make sure everyone had a good time, made sure that everyone around him was comfortable and lifted everyone up. when he blew up he still used to live with his friends (mostly all of them were also artists), who didn't blew up as much as he did. not even closely. so once he started making money, he would for example pay his friend's rents without them even asking him to do so. he never had any star attitudes, his fame never went to his head. he loved his fans. he treated them so sweetly. when fans met him in public and asked for photos with him/approached him and wanted to talk to him, he never said no, he never rushed them, had so much patience with them and took his time with them, even when he had an insanely bad mental health day and just wanted to be left alone because he didn't want people to see him when he was feeling his worst. he was so, so grateful to all of his supporters and literally said that he couldn't make the music or his career without them (when he was super young/still a "nobody" and living with his mum he produced his own beats but later on he would have his producers). Long ass story short, if you don't know much about an artists life or what kind of person they are or were, and just assume shit, don't make such bold claims. peep was severely depressed for his whole life. it was not an image. he was simply being himself.

And that's the thing, people just throw him in the same box with all the other soundcloud rappers. peep was for a fact not like those other 90%.
