Nicely done Deano. I've experiment with different things. Abrasive polish works. Well it proved it 37 up and running. Well done buddy. Thumbs up thumped 👍 ....Pete....
Hi there , it seems to run better but sounds to me like theres a tiny squeal still coming from the motor which indicates a dry oil somewhere on the loco. More than likely the other side of the main drive shaft. Also very handy to oil the front axles and with only the smallest amounts of oil like half a drop on all axles. It would run better again if you pulled the brushes and springs out and cleaned the commutator as if you do this it will last longer before your next service. Also when you take these all apart then you also get lots of fluff fibres and hair wrapped around your axles which also impedes the good running of your wheels. I know a lot of people that are a tad scared to pull these apart but once you have done it you will get so use to it that you can do it with your eyes closed. Keep up the great video there m8. Cheers from John in Australia.
Lima Diesels make up the majority of my Diesels but I have yet to get a 37 in this livery which is something I need to correct soon. The one you got is certainly in great condition and a great buy. All the best Rick
Well in reply to your rude comment An abrasive polish removes any hardened dirt (check 00 Bills channel) What are Cox? I guess you mean the gears in which you preferably use a silicon plastic safe grease. Gear spindles you use oil.
Didn't know locos had Cox, mind you good idea to turn the water off in the loco.🤣 Doesn't matter what you use to get dirt off as long as it's a bit abrasive.
