Did Jesus die for everyone? Or did Jesus only die for his sheep? This video covers the debate between limited atonement vs unlimited atonement. Did Jesus' death make salvation potential, or did it actually accomplish salvation for the elect? Jon Moffitt walks through several bible verses to help us think through this debated issue.

Atonement isn't limited. The atonement of Christ is valid for all (1John2:21). But it's effective only for those who believe (John3:15-16). Eg: If I send out an invitation to my party to ALL the people in my town, it's valid for all, but it's effective only for those who use the invitation & come to the party.

@@verraymundo2016 Man fell because he got the knowledge of good & evil grin the Tree of Knowledge (Gen3:5). God sent him out of Eden because of this very ability (infact it wasn't even because of the disobedience) Gen3:22-24. So man today still has the ability to choose to do what's right or wrong. We see that in God's counsel to Cain (Gen4:7). Yet we see Cain volitionally chose to do otherwise. It wasn't as if he couldn't follow God's counsel. The blame is on Cain. Likewise God places the counsel of choosing death or Life before every man (Deut30:19), the choice is man's to make! God has already predestined His plan of Salvation in Christ before creation (Rev13:8).

This is so elementary that I cannot explain how post-Beza Calvinists cannot see it. If Christ did not die for all, we cannot preach to all men Christ crucified as Paul did. For Christ died for our sins and rose for our justification, and it is this Christ crucified that must be proclaimed to the world. Christ died for the sins of all men and the justification of all men, and that is the gospel we must proclaim to all men, the victory of Christ at Calvary for all mankind whether they believe it or not. He that believes shall be saved, but he that believes not shall be damned. Limited atonement severs Christ’s work from the person of Christ, so that we can only tell people to believe in the person of Christ but not in the work of Christ unless they believe in the person first, we cannot proclaim Christ crucified for you to the world, we cannot proclaim Christ died and rose for you to all, because He only died and rose for the elect according to this heinous and heretical teaching that has infected Calvinism after Theodore Beza came up with this heresy. Calvin himself would have never anticipated that his teachings would be so perverted and corrupted by evil doctrines like limited atonement by his disciples, starting as early as Theodore Beza. Shame on this false teaching of limited atonement that destroys Christ crucified for the sin of the world and denies his crucifixion for all sinners by limiting the number of people Christ died for to the elect or to believers. How on earth can somebody believe that Christ took away his sins objectively at Calvary if we do not proclaim it because we have no clue if that person is one of those for whom Christ died ? And how can a single soul (including @all of us) believe He is one of the elect, if Christ did not die for all sinners, every single one ?

The Gospel: Plain and Simple “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” - 2 Corithians 11:3 Ask someone today if they are saved and you will most likely hear responses like these: “I have accepted Jesus into my heart.” Or “I have made him Lord of my life.” “I’ve been baptized.” “I said a prayer.” Sounds all good and churchy don’t it; but it is difficult to de- termine whether or not a person actually knows the gospel that saves them. These use￾less phrases don’t describe a thing about what the gospel is and has left a devastating effect of people not knowing what it is that they are saved from nor how they are saved; which leaves a more serious effect of people ques￾tioning their salvation. Let’s not muddy the simplicity of salva￾tion that is in Christ with vague church sounding phrases that do not communicate anything. But rather present God’s word with clarity and assuredness. So here is the gospel: plain and simple. Sin was passed upon all men by one man Adam, and death is a consequence of this sin (Rom 5:12). Mankind has an eternal destiny of condemnation and wrath - Hell - because of this sin (Rom 6:23). No matter what good works one might do we are still found sinners in the sight of our Creator God. And all un￾righteousness and those who follow get in￾dignation and wrath. We cannot be found righteous for by God’s law we are found sin￾ners (Rom 3:19-20). If we have broken even one law we are found guilty. It is for this reason of not being able to create our own righteousness and being born in a sinful flesh that we need a savior (Titus 3:5). Christ is that Savior, God manifested in the flesh, sinless, died in our place on a cross 2000 years ago. Taking upon him the wrath and judgement that was intended for us sin￾ners. And it is through his bloodshed, burial, and resurrection on our behalf that we are able to have peace with God and forgiveness of our sins (1 Cor 15:1-4, Col 3:14). This good news is unto all but only those that believe in it are made righteous in Christ (Romans 3:22). It is then after we have heard this good news of Christ’s righteousness available to us freely, that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and we are now part of Christ’s body the church (Eph 1:13) There is nothing that we need to do, no good works that are required, and no bad works that can separate us from our new po￾sition in Christ (Romans 8:35-39). Faith and belief in this information from God’s word is the gospel. The gospel is not accepting Jesus into your heart. The gospel is not making him lord of your life, it is not saying a prayer and it is not being baptized with water. So next time someone asks you if you are saved. Give them the clear assured answer “Yes! And let me tell you why!” Find more free resources at: www.graceambassadors.com

Christ's death is sufficient to save the whole world but is only efficacious for the elect. I believe this is the understanding Jeffrey Johnson has on limited atonement which he argues for in his book entitled "He Died for Me". This particular view gives great confidence and provides us with a clear conscience when we go and proclaim the gospel to the world. I say that it gives us a clear conscience because we know that our call to all mankind to trust Christ and if they do they are garenteed forgiveness, is not insincere or uncertain, but factual. Since Christ died for the whole world, you can be assured that if you come to Him you are saved and are among the elect. The atonement is only limited in it's efficacy, not its sufficiency. His death is sufficient to save ANYONE who comes to Him. I like how Charles Spurgeon puts it, he says something along these lines: "Christ died for sinners. I am a sinner, therefore Christ died for me and I am saved."

I like this take a little more than the real false doctrine of limited atonement and make no mistake about it, Limited Atonement is the most disgusting of all the 5 points of the TULIP. The truth of the Bible is in total opposition of this 100% false doctrine. There is no middle ground on this and no splitting of hairs. I've read quite a few of Spurgeon's sermons and frankly if he actually was a Calvinist he most certainly did not really preach it or practice it in real life. The above statement you quoted is directly in opposition to limited atonement. It's like trying to put a piece in a puzzle that just doesn't belong there. Frankly, I wished all Calvinists followed Spurgeon more. Sadly, they clearly do not. There is not a single petal of TULIP that is sound doctrine.

The US or us-ward is the key.Peter is speaking to believers here and he is juxtaposing the scoffers with God's people or the Elect to be born in the future. If Jesus would have returned back then, then all of God's elect would have never been born and saved, but He's patiently waiting for all of His Elect, chosen before time, to be born and coconverted. Just remember, God knew everyone He would save and everyone He would leave in their sin before Creation. So God isn't hoping against hope that those He knew He'd never save would come, that would make God senile.

Regeneration is only found in two verse of the scriptures, and neither are used as in the man centric theology of Calvinism. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; {Titus 3:5} And Jesus said unto them, "Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” {Matthew 19:28}

Brother, just wanted to say, I love this teaching!! Thanks very much for taking the time to put this together - clearly explained and BIBLICAL. And to everyone in the comments complaining about this teaching that offends them, consider this: “What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! For he says to Moses, ‘I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.’ It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. For Scripture says to Pharaoh: ‘I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.’ Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden. One of you will say to me: ‘Then why does God still blame us? For who is able to resist his will?’ But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? ‘Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, “Why did you make me like this?” ’ Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use? What if God, although choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath - prepared for destruction? What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory - even us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles? As he says in Hosea: ‘I will call them “my people” who are not my people; and I will call her “my loved one” who is not my loved one,’ and, ‘In the very place where it was said to them, “You are not my people,” there they will be called “children of the living God.” ’” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭9‬:‭14‬-‭26‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬ bible.com/bible/113/rom.9.16-26.NIVUK

You're not wrong. This is the problem with sticking to a single label such as calvinist or reformed. You are bound to the beliefs of that man made system. They don't see how they contradict scripture, and are unable to be teachable in seeing it differently, because they have decided to remain in the box of reformed calvinism. This is also the issue with basing your beliefs off creeds or confessions, because they are choosing which creeds and confessions to hold to over others. Their bias in choosing such things, informs their bias in understanding everything else.

First Timothy 4:10 " For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, WHO IS THE SAVIOR OF ALL MEN, specially (particularly or especially) of those that believe." Salvation is available to anyone who is willing to trust Christ as their Savior, but salvation is only completed particularly for those who believe. Christ right now is willing to save ANYONE, ANYWHERE, and at ANY TIME if they are willing to believe in the sacrifice of the Son of God on Calvary or simply believe the gospel which the power of God unto salvation to him that believes. To teach anything else is a serious heresy. Btw, the above verse in no way, shape, or form teaches a limited atonement.

Theres is nothing more comforting to a Christian then the doctrine known as Calvinism. Spurgeon the prince of preachers said "Calvinism is the gospel and nothing else." Its a deeper understanding of who God is and how he deals with creation. Dont be afraid to challenge your traditions and beliefs. Everything the Theocast say is backed up by verse after verse. They are not pushing Calvinism they are teaching what True Calvinism is and is not. You dont have to believe everything just take what they say, verses they use and study it for yourself. That's how you grow. It's ok to be uncomfortable. If you were like me you were taught Calvinism is evil. Stay away! Why? Because my chur h was filled with Arminians and provisionists. I don't understand why it's so hard for people to accept the fact that men can and do resist the Holy Ghost. They've been doing it since Genesis. Christ can still sacrifice his life for all men and those same men refuse to believe it because they don't feel they need it or want it. Stubbornness and pride are the only things that keep a man from being saved. Calvinism is not the only way to have eternal security. Whosoever believeth in him shall not be ashamed.

As a Barthian I would follow his lead and imply redemption to all through the redemptive act of Christ Crucified being both the elect and the reprobate. It is in my view the best synthesis of the Armenian / Calvinist position and makes Roman’s election passages make sense.
@henrka
@henrka 7 месяцев назад
I do not like many things about Barth, but when it comes to the atonement and universal salvation he is correct. And also he correctly points out universal salvation, does not mean everybody goes to heaven. Because there are many verses in Scripture that teach to enter the narrow way, and that there will be many people in hell we must believe. But also we must believe all the universal passages of Scripture, the problem occurs when we try to harmonize the many universal passages with the many passages that deny universalism, then we fall into false teaching. Both those that claim everybody goes to heaven, and those that claim Christ atoned for the sin of a few men (the elect or believers) are in the wrong. One camp like the speaker of the video denies unlimited atonement, and another camp claims everybody goes to heaven, both camps have embrace heresy. Barth has already proven this beyond a shadow of a doubt, unfortunately many in the Reformed camp reject Barth and by doing so reject the gospel. They themselves may be saved because they trusted in Christ, but they do not preach the gospel to others because as the speaker states he does not know who Christ died for or who Christ did not die for. So these preachers have doubts that .christ died for others (because they do not know who Christ die for or did not die for), and as a result they are unable to preach the gospel.

As with much of TULIP, this goes back to whether we as humans have free will to choose Christ. If we have free will then Christ paid the price for all, but only some will "choose" him. (for example, hypothetically if there were 100 people in the world and the ransom for each was $1 then he paid $100, even if only 60 people choose to believe), conversely, if there is no free will then the only logical conclusion is limited atonement because it goes hand in hand with election.

Thank you for this video. This video shows that Calvin's followers know that they are in a difficult position to defend their beliefs. They need to put up the straw man of universalism to try to bolster their position. They wrongly conclude that draw means to force. If you believe that then you will be forced to conclude that God really doesn't mean what he says in John12:32 and 1 John 2:2. God really didn't mean what he wrote in his word.

You must be born again. Any belief that you have in Jesus Christ is null and void. The difference in believing in an unsaved person and salvation in a saved one, is the Holy Spirit taking up residence in one's soul. Your belief becomes faith at this point. Faith is something that becomes part of you, because the Holy Spirit, becomes part of you. It's a very humbling experience, because you experience EXACTLY, how Holy God is...

@@AlpacaLipps Why do people go to Hell then? You can take scripture out of context to try to make universal atonement true, but scripture clearly teaches that Christ laid his life down for the sheep, (not the goats) John 10:11-15 " I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep." and John 10:24-29 " Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. The promise was to gather the elect out from the 4 corners of the land, and with that, all Israel would be saved. No one else received salvation. The end of the age came when the temple was destroyed, and the saints were raised, and those who were alive were changed. If I wanted to create doubt in the minds of people that their sins are forgiven, this would be a good article to introduce. I've yet to see anyone who holds to limited atonement show how he knows Christ died for him. And then they wonder why Arminianism arose from their ranks? The speaker begins by suggesting that he will answer how a person can know his sins are forgiven based on this 'doctrine.' And so, he summarizes, "Once I conclude with faith that I believe that I can be assured that if Christ was the one who purchased me, I can't be unpurchased." Yes, that convoluted sentence is the one from which he draws his strength, and supposedly answers for you how to know your sins are forgiven. He has to conclude with faith that he believes that he can be assured that if Christ was the one... That's a lot of ifs and conclusions. Why not just be honest and say that on the basis of this supposed 'doctrine' one cannot be certain Christ died for one's sins, but one hopes it is true? Shortly thereafter he suggests that in proclaiming the gospel he doesn't know for which of his hearers Christ died. "I do not know for whom Christ died." If you don't know whether Christ died for you, and you don't know if He died for me, why should I want to hear you? The reason we go to church is to hear that our sins are forgiven through Christ. The job of the pastor is to say things like, "I forgive you," based on "Whosesoever sins you remit, they are remitted,." and "Whoever hears you, hears me." The fact is that the speaker believed Jesus died for him because he heard the gospel that proclaims Christ died and rose for him. He did not first believe in Christ and then ascertain from that faith that the atonement was for him. That is circular backwards reasoning which would leave one ever in doubt. Faith in faith is not faith in Christ. Faith comes from hearing and hearing by the word of Christ.

Here is an interesting question. Let us assume that the content of this video regarding salvation is true (and I'm not saying ot isn't, I simply don't know), does that mean the saved person was always saved since birth? Since the atonement was effectual at the cross, then the blood was applied then and I come out of the womb covered in the blood? Wasn't John the Baptist filled with the Holy Spirit in the womb? That would indicate salvation without a choice, right? Just sincere questions.

Exactly, that is basically what this speaker teaches, that some men, the elect have been cleansed from sin and do not need repentance. That is what this doctrine of atonement seems to imply, the atonement is limited by who you are (elect or reprobate), and not by whether you have faith and repentance. The Bible teaches the opposite, I.e, the atonement is limited by its application, whether you have repentance and faith or you do not.

Universalism is not only an option, but it is true. Christ is the saviour of all men specially those who believe (1 Timothy 4:10) and Christ purchased and redeemed every man with his blood (2 Peter 2:1). That being said the Bible also affirms particularism, we know for sure that not all are saved and there will be many in hell, Christ stated this multiple time, and he spoke about the narrow way. The problem arises when we try to harmonize these Bible verses as this pastor does by denying universalism. We must affirm universalism, without which there is no gospel, Christ is the Saviour of the world, but we must also affirm that the vast majority of mankind reject their Saviour and will perish in hell. It is fact that .christ saved all men and died for all, but it is also fact that not all go to heaven because they reject the .saviour that saved them. But the rejection of Christ cannot and does not undo his saving work, when .christ said it is finished the sins of all men were forgiven (2 Corinthians 5:19), and yet not all men go to heaven because they reject this forgiveness freely offered to all in the gospel.

Beware of those who argue that the Bible does not mean what it says. They are human reason and understanding above the inspiration and authority of scripture. Trust that God actually said what He meant to say. The assumption here is also made that the atonement is what saves. Nowhere does the scripture say this. It is not the death of Christ, but rather His resurrection from the dead that saves us! For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Correct, there is no gospel to proclaim to anybody, no good news whatsoever because the preacher has no clue for whom Christ died he cannot proclaim to anybody that God has taken away his sin on account of Christ’s death. Since Christ crucified that we must preach turns out he was crucified for some but not for others. So at most we can say Christ died for you maybe, but maybe not. It gets worse since Christ taught to enter the narrow way which few find, it turns out Christ died for very few people. So are we supposed to proclaim the gospel to all when there is only good news for a few for whom Christ died. The only rejoicing at the preaching of limited atonement is the devil that rejoices that Christ by his death for a few sealed the damnation of the many for whom there is no atonement and no possible way of salvation. None of this limited atonement doctrine appears to come from scripture but from the machinations of men instead.

The famous quote the potter and the clay is misunderstood in Calvinism to mean that God creates the vessels of dishonour, He does not, they are made by the devil and the evil desires of man, as Luther and the Lutheran confessions teach. People like R C Sproul that argued for double predestination and came up with the phrase “double or nothing” are partly to blame for destroying Reformed theology. Here is some more from Calvin on the extent of the Death of Jesus Christ John 3:16 “That whosoever believeth on him may not perish. It is a remarkable commendation of faith, that it frees us from everlasting destruction. For he intended expressly to state that, though we appear to have been born to death, undoubted deliverance is offered to us by the faith of Christ; and, therefore, that we ought not to fear death, which otherwise hangs over us. And he has employed the universal term whosoever, both to invite all indiscriminately to partake of life, and to cut off every excuse from unbelievers. Such is also the import of the term World, which he formerly used; for though nothing will be found in the world that is worthy of the favor of God, yet he shows himself to be reconciled to the whole world, when he invites all men without exception to the faith of Christ, which is nothing else than an entrance into life” John 1:29 “Who taketh away the sin of the world. He uses the word sin in the singular number, for any kind of iniquity; as if he had said, that every kind of unrighteousness which alienates men from God is taken away by Christ. And when he says, the sin Of The World, he extends this favor indiscriminately to the whole human race; that the Jews might not think that he had been sent to them alone. But hence we infer that the whole world is involved in the same condemnation; and that as all men without exception are guilty of unrighteousness before God, they need to be reconciled to him. John the Baptist, therefore, by speaking generally of the sin of the world, intended to impress upon us the conviction of our own misery, and to exhort us to seek the remedy. Now our duty is, to embrace the benefit which is offered to all, that each of us may be convinced that there is nothing to hinder him from obtaining reconciliation in Christ, provided that he comes to him by the guidance of faith.” Romans 5:18 “He makes this favor common to all, because it is propounded to all, and not because it is in reality extended to all; for though Christ suffered for the sins of the whole world, and is offered through God's benignity indiscriminately to all, yet all do not receive him” VERY CLEAR that John Calvin believed that Jesus Christ Died for ALL MEN WITHOUT EXCEPTION, which is the ENTIRE HUMAN RACE!

Sorry, but I disagree with anyone who in any way teaches that the blood atonement of the Lamb of God was not for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD meaning every single person that ever has lived or ever will live, not just particular chosen ones. God's blood atonement is unlimited in its scope, meaning it is for everyone. Man does NOT limit His atoning work. His atonement is available to all who will only believe that it was personally for their sins. The word of God is clear that ANYONE can believe and salvation is freely offered to all who will believe. Only a Calvinist is confused about this because of really bad theology. There does not exist a single word or verse in the entire Bible that contradicts the clear teaching of Jesus Christ in John 3:14-18. The one and only way to be saved is by faith in the uplifted Christ on the cross who shed His sinless blood for our sins. When we look to Him in faith we are instantly and permanently forgiven all our sins past, present, and future. It is simply by believing and the message is clearly given to the WORLD and to WHOSOEVER. How people get messed up on this is mind-boggling. John 3:16 is so clear even a small child should understand it. People who have been indoctrinated into the terrible heresies of Calvinism or some other false teachings are the ones who don't understand it. You have to twist the meaning of scripture to try and make it fit the evil and unscriptural teachings of Calvinism. John Calvin was perhaps the biggest single heretic in all of Christianity since Jesus ascended back to heaven. Is the atonement Limited? No, it is not. Is grace irresistible? Not on your life. All that verses like John 3:18 mean is that all men who have not yet believed in the Son for salvation are now, at this very moment, condemned. If they die in that condition they will go to hell. @@brianc81 I'm not disagreeing that God is the one that elects the person for salvation. Reformers are a cult in guidance of Westminister Confession book. The only thing they might have right is that God saves who he wants. The Islamic believe that as well. Almost everything else the reformers believe is all man made religion and is not in scripture. The give their own sense of assumptions. Just like any other cult.

@@eddienegrino8348 Those who God elected before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4-5) and before the world began (II Tim 1:9) are those WHOM Christ died and atoned for. Salvation is not just some invitation and then when someone feels like it, then receives it. The very reason why anyone believes is because God grants it (II Timothy 2:25). While Jesus laid his life down for the sheep (not the goats). John 10:11-15, John 10:24-29.

If Jesus died for everyone, then everyone would believe because the sacrifice of Christ accomplished salvation for all it was made for.Even non-reformed people believe that God knew Exactly who would and wouldn't be saved before He created them, so the number was fixed in both cases and cannot be changed.

Jesus dieing for everyone had to do with sinners being reconciled to God, and sins not being held accountable to them while in this life. We are not saved by the cross, we are saved by grace. So your argument is merely a strawman.

@maldictous
@maldictous 5 месяцев назад
@@CBALLEN yes, God has foreknowledge of who would choose Him. Absolutely. That does not mean He chose to save them, and others not. Predestination, is exactly that. The pre determining of the destination. All who choose of their own volition to accept Christ, will receive eternal life. That is what was predestined. ANYONE who accepts Jesus will be with Him, EVERYONE who denies Him, will be separated from Him. God knew who would, that doesn't mean He chose who would. If I watch a football game I already know the ending to, that doesn't mean I'm forcing players on the field to come to that ending. I merely knew. I didn't force. God is sovereign in knowing the end from the beginning. Another example, ‭‭ Luke‬ ‭10:13‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬ [13] “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that occurred in you had occurred in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes." Both of those cities were overthrown and conquered because they did not repent. Jesus would not have made this statement that "they would have repented", if they were destined for to be conquered. He literally says "they WOULD have repented". Meaning, had they seen the miracles, they would have chosen differently and been saved at that time. The outcome would have changed. In the same way, God has given everyone the ability to choose Him or deny Him. Only in choosing Him does salvation begin. Death is all that separates the final outcome, from God's open invitation to all. And I'll give you a single example of why unconditional election is wrong, but this is just one verse of MANY, that leave the invitation open to anyone and everyone, not merely "the elect person God chose for no reason". ‭‭John‬ ‭6:49‭-‬51‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬ [49] Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. [50] This is the bread that comes down out of heaven, so that anyone may eat from it and not die. [51] I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats from this bread, he will live forever; and the bread which I will give for the life of the world also is My flesh.” That's just the start. The big issue with following a specific line of theology, is you are boxed within that theology. Calvinists become unteachable, and unable to understand things outside their theological construct, when they adhere whole heartedly to something other than the plain gospel. As a former calvinist, I understand your withholding. But you aren't doing yourself any favor by being dogmatic about things that are not the core of the gospel. Which is solely about Jesus, and His saving work on all mankinds behalf. So that whoever believes, will receive eternal life.

Seventy weeks are determined [cut off] upon *thy people and upon thy holy city* ...to finish the transgression, and (Jn 19:30; Col 2:13-14; Is 53:12) ...to make an end of sins, and (Jn 1:29; 1Jn 3:5; Jn 5:14; Jn 8:11; Rom 6:6-7; 1 Cor 15:3; Heb 9:26-28; Heb 10:14) ...to make reconciliation for iniquity, and (Rom 5:10; 2 Cor 5:18-19; Col 1:20-22; Eph 2:14-16) ...to bring in everlasting righteousness, and (Matt 3:15; Rom 3:21-22; Rom 8:4; 2 Cor 5:21) ...to seal up the vision and prophecy, and (Matt 3:13-17) ...to anoint the most Holy. (Jn 1:32-34; Mark 1:15; Acts 10:38; Luke 4:18; Is 61:1) {Daniel 9:24} < The context And he [the Messiah] shall confirm the covenant with many for ONE WEEK: and IN THE MIDST OF THE WEEK (the seventieth) he [Christ] SHALL CAUSE THE SACRIFICE AND THE OBLATION TO CEASE, and for the overspreading of abominations (the continued temple sacrifices, after Christ one perfect sacrifice.) he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. ("Behold your house has been left unto you desolate.") {Daniel 9:27} 7 weeks + 62 weeks + *one week* = 70 weeks, to anoint the most Holy, and to seal up the vision and the prophecy. Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, *It was necessary* that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: ☆☆☆(for there were three and a half years remaining grace for "thy people" of the final week.) but seeing ye put it from you, and *judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life* lo, we turn to the Gentiles. For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. {Acts 13:46-48} To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until *the land had enjoyed her sabbaths* for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years. {2 Chronicles 36:21} For 490 years, equal to 70 sabbath rest for the land every seventh year, that Israel and Judah transgressed the law of God. This is why they received seventy years exiled in bondage in the land of Babylon. There was no gap in their seventy years in exil, and there is no gap in the 490 years of transgressing the law of God, and there most certainly was no gap unto the coming of the Messiah who did not come in a vacuum, but rather confirmed his covenant with many for there and a half years, and in the land of Israel's inheritance. The stoning of Steven is when probation closed on the covenant that God made with the their fathers, exactly three and a half years after Jesus Christ, our passover was sacrificed for us, and the gospel of the kingdom of heaven went out unto the Gentiles also.

1 John 2:1-2 settles it! BOTH! When we get to Heaven we will ask Jesus Christ how that all works! "My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world." FACT! HOW? One must seek that salvation. For ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God. HIS BLOOD IS THERE! ASK! That means according to SCRIPTURES. We are forward heading right to Heavens gate with Jesus Christ leading us home to His Fathers house! Christ's coming for His bride has always been IMMINENT! YES! Since the Pentecost event, the beginning of our family, bride of Christ in waiting. They looked for His coming to call them UP! Why? When the Bride was complete. They were told to go out into the world and share the Gospel. Who knew when the last Christian would be saved? None but Almighty God. But all knew when that time arrived the bride would be called up to meet Jesus Christ in the air and GO HOME!. (*see below) * AT THE RAPTURE; that is the instant removal of the bride of Christ to meet our Lord above earth when we will receive an imperishable sinless body like that of Jesus Christ.1 Cor. 15:51-57. First church believers who died whose soul/spirit are waiting with the Lord (2 Cor.5:8) and then those alive following them up (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). The Lord calls us from above Earth. I believe the Holy Spirit in us HEARS and actually removes us to Christ's side! Our sin nature, Romans 3:23, is supernaturally removed and our sanctification (being holy) is completed as is our salvation so we can go to Heaven. Philippians 1:6 " Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:" We are NOT appointed to God's wrath! 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 5:9; Romans 5:8-9. The bride of Christ will not go through "Tribulation" when God judges the lost world left behind. No longer will evil be restrained as one of the ministries of the Holy Spirit. The bride is complete & home. That opens the door for the appearance of anti-Christ; Satan in human form! TIMING OF RAPTURE? See John 14:3; Titus chapter 2:verses 11-14; Revelation 3:10 It is "IMMINENT"! "Maranatha" ("He comes") was the greeting to one another in the just formed church. 1 Cor.16:22. They looked for Jesus to come in their time! WE TOO! Only God knows the time the last Christian is saved! Romans 11:25. Blood coming from all over his body and NAKED hanging on that cross like torture weapon! What a Lord and God and Savior! He had to do it. HE is God the Son and only His body and blood could pay the sins price of ALL ever! 1 John 2:1-2. SUBSCRIBED. This channel is a blessing known to God before the world was made. Ephesians 1:1-14. Oh Lord bless this channel. I will pray for you and those gathered here.There is a Crown in Heaven awaiting all who faithfully share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a soul is saved. ( "JESUS SAVES" below) 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20; Philippians 4:1. " For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? 20 For you are our glory and joy." The Apostle Paul further testified; Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek". 2 Samuel chapter 22:verse 50 "Therefore I will praise you, O Lord, out of the countries, and I will praise your name." JESUS SAVES Mark 16: verse 15: "And He said unto them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." How can anyone hear the "good" news? Romans 10:17 "Then faith comes from hearing and hearing by the word of God." The Birth Of Jesus Christ Isaiah 7:14: "Therefore the LORD shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and call His name Immanuel." Hebrew: עִמָּנוּאֵל, "God with us" in human flesh but without sin. The Savior of the world was born to die for our sins! He did so 33 years later. His terrible ordeal, the body was mutilated, the blood was poured out, but the bones were not broken, buried in a Tomb and risen on the 3rd day. Isaiah 53: "5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all." John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 "I am the way, the truth and the life: no one comes to the Father except through me." John 14.6 1 Corinthians 15: "1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;." Ephesians 1:7 “For he (God) hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Corinthians 5: 21. Ephesians 2:8 " For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins and rescue us from eternal death. Because of Jesus' death on our behalf, all we have to do is believe in Him, trusting in His death and in the shedding of His blood as payment for our sins, as well as in His burial and resurrection from the dead the third day, and we will be saved! John 20:24-31; See 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4. Romans 10: "9 If you confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart man believes in righteousness; And a confession by mouth is given to salvation. 13 For the one who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Salvation and forgiveness of sins is a blessing of all who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit immediately which seals us in Christ Ephesians 1:13-14. Those who reject salvation, "perish"(John 3:16) which means their sins are judged and suffer separation from God forever called the second death. Rev.21:8

Enjoy your relationship where you can now know your God personally!! There is no more barriers, no more religion, no traditions, no laws, no sin counciousness as He has made our concousness clean once by His Sacrefice! You are already permanently sanctified by the Spirit who dwells in us for ever! There is no pursuit to please God, as the Lamb was more than satisfactory to the Nostrils of the Father as the aroma pleasing to Him!! Rest.... you already have everything for life And godliness.... there is no more God can reveal or give than what He has already given you which is Christ Him self!! There is no more search for blessings, because you have the One who is the biggest blessing dwelling in you!! Live from the abundance of what you already been given, and not striving to obtain something some day.....,, You have full forgiveness ... you have full love..... you have full acceptance where He is not ashamed of Us in any stAte we are in!! Freedom....... rest..realize how much He wants to fulfill your needs as He came to Serve you and not wise versa!!

As with all Calvinists, your conclusions of "for whom Christ died" are built somewhat on scripture, somewhat on the writings of men and mostly on preconceived ideas taught by men. You approach the scripture with a predetermined belief and read your beliefs into select, questionable verses. To say the belief that "Christ died for all men" makes you a universalist is a linguistic tactic, asinine, and makes for a convenient way to nuteralize your opponent. We are commanded to rightly divide God's word. When the Bible says Christ died for "many" (Matt. 20:28) it is quoted from the GOSPELS (O.T. economy) or the beginning of the book of Acts when the Kingdom of HEAVEN was still being offered to ISRAEL. When Paul says "ALL" (1Tim. 2:6) he was the apostle to the GENTILE WORLD and speaking in the age of grace in which we still live. The KINGDOM HEAVEN was first offered to the JEWS (MANY; Israel, NOT ALL PEOPLE). Because Gentiles were EXCLUDED from the kingdom because they worshipped pagan gods (Matt.10:5). After the JEWISH rejection of Christ and his resurrection, as prophecied, it became the SPIRITUAL KINGDOM of GOD. Jesus called Paul to preach the new gospel of grace ( That's why Paul called it "my gospel" Rom.3:16;16:25) and it is now offered to ANYONE (ALL) that will believe it. Calvinists can't rightly divide the word and twist scripture to fit their perverted, man-made theology. It must be remembered that the Gospels are technically in the O.T. economy until the death of Christ. (You can't apply Paul's gospel of grace salvation into the O.T. economy of following the law.) Observe...Jesus says; (Luke 19:9) "Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a SON OF ABRAHAM." - JEWISH. In (John 4:22 KJV) "Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the JEWS." - JEWISH. In (Acts 2:36 " Therefore let ALL THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ."- JEWISH. In the O.T. ONLY Israel, AS A NATION, is referred to as God's sheep ; his 'elect' AS A NATION, NOT AS INDIVIDUALS. 1 Chron.17:7; Ez.34:6,11,12- 2 Sam.7:8 ; David is taken from Gods sheepcote to be a leader. BUT not every Jew was made part of Christ's Kingdom of HEAVEN sheepcote, only those that received him. Today, not everyone is made part of Christ's bride and the spiritual KINGDOM OF GOD, only those that receive him. Calvinism makes a liar out of God in scripture, brainwashes it's followers and is satanic. It is pagan philosophy mixed with Augustine's form of Constantine's Christianity. Augustine is the father Catholicism. Calvin was a worshipper of Augustine and his writings. God makes it VERY CLEAR who is offered salvation. He makes it clear enough that even a Calvinist can understand it if they would only believe it ; (Revelation 22:17 KJV) "And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And WHOSOEVER WILL, let him take the water of life freely." - FREE WILL! - What more does God have to say to make you understand that man has free will and that salvation is offered to ALL? God also warns about messing with his book; (Revelation 22:18 KJV) "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall ADD unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: (Revelation 22:19 KJV) "And if any man shall TAKE AWAY from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." - Calvinism is guilty of doing both.

Forgiveness of sins is not salvation!!!!! 5:10 The death of Jesus reconciled All enemies without their desire, but only through the Resurrection of Jesus the Act of resurrection allows the salvation to take place, salvation is Being born of the spirit!

Calvinism makes the mistake of misunderstanding the essence of the Calvary sacrifice. They see the sacrifice as being quantitative, whereas it is not quantitative but qualitative, that is it was a perfect sacrifice, wherefore He is able to save to the uttermost all who come unto God by Him. The scriptures tell us that God is not willing for any to perish but that all should come to repentance. Yet some do perish which indicates that man has a free will to chose for or against the will of God. The perfect sacrifice on Calvary avails for all men without limit!

Reconciliation is not the same as salvation. It takes both sides to be in agreemen with eachother to be reconciled. If you have a fight with your spouse, and you chose to be reconciled with her, then you are. But if she does not choose to be reconciled with you, then there is still a problem. This is why Paul tells people to "be reconciled to God". The relationship is not healed just because one party reconciled. It takes two. When we come to faith in Christ, is when the relationship is restored, and salvation becomes ours. It does not happen before that. Faith is required for salvation. Call it a work, sure. Not a legalistic work. But the work of faith, as James calls it. Revelation shows not all will be with God. That's already written in stone. Jesus is not a liar either. He said one group will live forever with Him, and another will go into eternal punishment. Let scripture speak for itself. Don't twist it to mean something it isn't saying.

I will let AW Pink answer you from his "Attributes of God," pgs. 28-29... "Such a statement is radically wrong; it repudiates the truth of total depravity, for it argues that there is something good in some men. It takes away the independency of God, for it makes his decrees rest upon what he discovers in the creature. It completely turns things upside down, for in saying that God foresaw certain sinners would believe in Christ, and that because of this, he predestinated them unto salvation, is the very reverse of the truth. Scripture affirms that God, in his high sovereignty, singles out certain ones to be recipients of his distinguishing favors (cf. Acts 13:48), and therefore he determined to bestow upon them the gift of faith. False theology makes God's foreknowledge of our believing the cause of his election to salvation; whereas God's election is the cause, and our believing in Christ is the effect."

The whole world is reconciled but they are stil dead, but because the forgiveness came for the world now that made it possible to be alive eternally!! Romans 5:5;10 clearly shows a dual stage or dual process, forgiveness of sins reconcilation is Made possible by the death of Jesus, but the life of Jesus what makes possible to be Saved Born Again To have the Life of God the Spirit of God the Holly spirit the breath of God restores saves , stamps you, seals you, sanctifies you forever once forever justifies and carries , leads you into every truth!!

The Calvinisn and the Reformed Theology! - both look absurd from all the verses you quoted in this post. "God predestined FEW elected few, - from their point of view " God's sovereignty "- again absurd- This is in everybody's point of view- is absolute PARTIALITY. You may try to defend it - who cares. We all know God is not PARTIAL - NOT RESPECTOR OF PERSONS. Under God's Sovereignty- DON'T MAKE GOD PARTIAL- THIS IS AGAINST GOD'S CHARACTERS. So "what's PREDESTINATION? the Bible and Paul are talking about? Adam was not created yet! God knew Adam was going to fall? So according to God's sovereignty " God has predestined Adam's fall! Doesn't it look absurd? Again, I WARN YOU DON'T CALL THAT AS GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY! If you are going to call this as God's sovereignty? IS HE GOD? OR HE IS JUST PLAYING WITH MANKIND? FOR ALL MY QUESTIONS THE BIBLE HAS ANSWERS! You THEOLOGIANS are just messing it up. You guys are interpreting the Bible- each one as they like with their own logical approach. The WORD of GOD should NEVER be interpreted LOGICALLY. Then it is not THE WORD OF GOD.
