Line 6 POD X3 Live: Crying About Amp Modeling- Wah! Wah! 

wow..thanks soooooooo..such an idea, I never use to think about!! even if this is my main subject matter when I move on a DAW..!! never thought doing it before on my POD..this is what I call give a real sense to his words!!! not stickin' criticize the world around..kmcgrath168 you're the man!!

One last time - you can either have a simple device that does little or you can appreciate a comprehensive box that requires you to think a little harder, but eliminates hauling around a tractor-trailer load of pedals, amps and cabinets. I've been waiting 3 decades for the X3.

Push hard on the top of the pedal and it activates the button to switch between volume and wah. Push again to switch back.

i use 3 shown here : throaty, conductor and colorful "" wah name. love them...will post how this is done right. the sound here wasn't so good, coz it seems it all came through on emicrophone, and not line direct - so of course it'll sound like 5khz plastic ...lol....

if your looking for adding effects to your favorite amp look at the effects stomp box modler this X3 has that built into it and with a littel learning you can bypass amp modling and just use preset effects this X3 also has the USB port and XLR out turning it into a extreamley good external sound card 24bit a side and you can use the amp modling for recording in digital also mic,front of house modling hence the name X3 LIVE no doubt the most powerfull prosseser I own 32 bit a side internal

@SorteAllan it's Utube not THX the bit rate on the pedal is way higher than tubes souns even if pluged streight in without a mic tube would sound crappy

yes stepping on the toe changes it frome volume to wah or adding the other effect pedal may change that I'm Not shure yet have't got that wish they would have put the dual peadels on this like on My AX212 fun to wah and volume swell at the same time

also this X3 has the XLR in with phantom powering for accustic or vocal prossesing it's a yummy thing you can get the sound card style thingy but the X3 live has all it's internal RAM to add to you laptop or home tower leving the RAM saved for your recording softwear also it operates the varaX guitar and bass if you can't program a VCR then without a laptop it'll be a nice learning experance you CAN shut OFF amp modling allong with mic and front of house sound system emulation and just do effec.

Are these Wah Effects included in Line 6 Pod Farm ??

I don't have a "pedal" window, when I scroll down, the last page states "Fx loop - One Tone....."

With The Line 6 POD X3, do you need any pedals or can you just plug it into your pedal/effects output in your amp?

hey i already own a pod studio ux2 with which i do some home recordings, setup already with pod farm. I'm planning to buy a used Pod X3 Live. My question is can i set it up with the pod farm as well? Also since the Line 6 monkey requires activation of every device before it can be used, can i enter the X3's activation and use it despite it being already used once?

So the problem I'm having is that my wah won't go past 14%, how do I fix that?

i swaer to god every person on gearwire has fingers that deaden strings from six feet away

can i used this pd with marshall or i must to used with line 6 ampli ?

@bluefin12 I still have My AX212 everything is 100% you do know shock and vibration also magnetic and electric are wear problems get proper cases and treat stuff like gold

i'm an old school wah fan...but like 3 of the 6 wahs from x3 live a lot... my old thomas wah..and hendrixfasel is good...but they crackle ..hard to use for recording sometimes.. in essence..this is a 24 bit filter like in protools , jus with a hardwired controller...makes some wicked sounds depending on the guitar, strings, scratch technique, and foot size..just kidding... actually, some of the dunlop and new vox pedals sound too harsh for me - so analog isn't always better. needed: compressor.

So digital....I like to keep my rig simple. A tubescreamer, a Fender 1970's wah/fuzz pedal, a Electro Harmonix Clone Theory, and I'm looking for a distortion pedal :P

can i play this line6 pod x3 live on my randall rx75r amplifier?

i am convinced the x3 live is a monster thru a pa. but it wasnt made for an amp!!!! i mean, if ur amp sucks u could justify play one thru it, but my amp rules, so whats the point? i need to invest in a small pa!!! lol!!! thanx man

its kinda strange, they sounded way different on my podxt. It must be a setting.

@solidtenpin I plug mine into My 17" laptop programing is cake all point and click you see vertual effects,mic kind & placment. and for the price of the Studio modal and peadel you could have 2 X3's one as a backup or use it @ front house for some Nice on the fly tap delay or if you trust your sound guy the base gowes direct and he can control the amp&... for the perfect room fit vocal verbs are badass I have rooms around town dialed in just load the preset line 6 is an up and cumming power

the wah sucks on the x3 live. the low is too low and the high is way too high and no way to adjust it!! or is there????? i couldnt find it??

no, just two. i run from my fx loop return to the send in the pod and the guitar in to the send in my fx loop and its fx only. the only problem is there are very few good fx on this thing thats worth using. the delay is ok, but only one sounds good. the overdrive is ok, but only one sounds good and not good enough to used live. chorus is ok. the rest suk. in my opinion anyway! i'd much rather pedals

most of the presets on that pedal are shit but u can make some reallllyyyy good tones with it

Every 2-3 years I forget that these things will NEVER sound good and run out and get the latest, greatest thing for either bass or guitar. Thank God for GC 30 day return policy. Now, here is the funny thing. I play bass through a 1970's Ampeg head. (Obviously I dont wait the full 30 days before returning the line 6 and going back to the Ampeg). But the funny things is that you cant even get a good tone with these things GOING THROUGH A GREAT AMP. Its like they suck the tone from your rig.

Do not run this into a guitar amp. It only works straight through a pa.

thats because you don't know how to set it up properly your using apm modling in an amp you need a FULL RANGE sound system to get anything near the sound of a real amp OR turn OFF the amp section and bypass the Mic and front of house emulation that way your using just the effects and peadels of the live x3 and you are playing them in your REAL amp otherwise you are just digging a tone grave you will never emulate an amp with an amp unless desined to do it ie.line6 combo's

10 million souds..... all of em shit. If you cant sound good with just a strat and good ol tube fender amp, then this thing aint going to help you.

The guitarist isn't really good at all... Kind makes the X3 sound Bad.

Gearwire is soooooooo horrible....

I wouldn't take advice from a bald guy with glasses talking about good guitar tones....
