Lippert electric stabilizer switch replacement

The front Lippert electric stabilizer on my 2016 Flagstaff 832IKBS has been somewhat intermittent from new. It finally died a few months ago and I just got around to replacing the switch to get it functional as intended again. It wasn't difficult. This video will show you the troubleshooting process as well as replacement of the switch for a Lippert Electric stabilizer.

The replacement switch part number I used in this video is LC-387874. It is an updated unit as the OEM one my trailer was equipped with has been discontinued.

Thanks for this video! You saved me. I am a full time RVr for over five years and never had this rocker switch fail. I unhooked my 5th wheel and everything no issues. Then went to raise up the front an inch and the switch didn't work at all. I looked online for a mobile tech to come to our location and it would have been at least $400! (F that). I found your video and stole the rocker switch to our master bed lift. Switched it out and now works fine as a temporary solution while on the road. Once I get to a spot where I can receive mail I will order the new switch. Thanks for your help!

Very nice job. I just bought my First TT and the Electric brakes were not connected, i bought the red, blue and yellow butt connectors that are heat shrink, i figured, could never have enough. I figure at this point they will just be part of a first aid box for the TT.

When you made the video did your switch work in either the extend or retract or were both directions not functioning?

Howdy! The switch had completely failed. I recall it looked like it had gotten water in it at some point when I took it apart. For what it's worth, the rear switch is still original on the rig and still works fine. Thanks!

I would have put some butyl tape behind the switch to weather proof it.

I have the same switch you REMOVED from your trailer - removed from mine. How did you know which switch to purchase? I can't find an exact replacement for what I/you removed. And can't tell what you used as a replacement switch either. Mine is also off the front jacks. 2015 Forest River Salem Hemisphere Lite 232IS.

Howdy! As I recall, I had to go to the Lippert site, scrounge around for the parts list for the levellers and I found that the old switch was obsolete and there was a new part number for the replacement. lci-support-doc.s3.amazonaws.com/complists/leveling-and-stabilization/CCD-0002579.pdf That is the link to the parts list and the part number for the replacement switch is 387874. LCI wants $42 for it and so does amazon, but if you have prime, you can at least save the shipping. Good luck!
