Their album Breakfast In America was absolutely huge when it came out. every single song on that album is a banger. every song is great. you know how every song off of Boston's debut album were amazing? same with Breakfast in America. Supertramp has their very own sound, they are progressive like pink floyd, and rush. lyrically deep, and profound. fantastic album. I have a poster, a vinyl, and a shirt of that album that I searched hard for online. Supertramp is under rated. Search Supertramp reactions, there are none.

There's a reason this song was their final encore number when I saw them in '77. Their fans just love the tune, the melody and the lyrics. "Keep listening to the music" is the whole message behind the song, and that's what the fans love to hear and be told. It's a self-sustaining circle of energy between the band and the listeners, even while being a smooth, gliding along tune that doesn't take you to the edgier heights of "China Grove" or "Long Train Runnin'". It just plain ol' satisfies. Been listening to this song for 45 or more years and it took you guys pointing out the high "Listen to the music" vocal before I noticed it. What?!?! A little perk for my Friday. Thanks.

The Doobies had a lot of hits in the 70's, but this is my favorite of theirs. And hearing the bass being driven by Tiran Porter makes it even better to me.

The Doobie Brothers are about the music and having fun, not individual accolades or such. Their greatest hits albums is a road trip by itself, they have an amazingly upbeat and feel good sound and always kept your feet moving. and the one guy looks like Andy Travis from WKRP in Cincinnati, I loved that show.

This was most everybody's introduction to the Doobies, along with "Jesus is just Alright". You've definitely got two different "Doobie Brothers" bands and sounds. The Tom Johnston Doobies and the Michael McDonald Doobies. You've been hearing the TJ Doobs, try "Taking it to the Streets" or "Minute by Minute" as an example of the MM Doobs. Radically different vocal styles and MM's keys come into play as well.

I saw them live in 1975 Long beach Arena ,Calif. A great gig with all the original members. They had played up and down the coast for years so not many people were there so the manager came on stage first and told everyone to move up into the center section seats and...Party!! We did!!! : ) (P.S. I can not believe they are not in the Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame!! Doesn't make sense!!!)

I firmly believe this is one of the best songs ever. If you don't enjoy this whole track from start to end there is truly something wrong with you as a person. No matter where you came from, what you grew up listening to. If you don't tap your foot to this song, something wrong with you. OK there it is. true.

The Doobie Brothers played at my high school in 1972 at Mountain View HS in California. They were the warm up band for the 2 headliners (Stonehenge and Tower of Power). They were a San Jose band and once Michael McDonald joined the band they really took off. The definition of the Doobie Brothers : Feel Good Music....nuf said.
