GRADING EXPLANATION:
Here are my three categories for rating albums: 'Good lyrics' with 4 points because it's imo one of the most important thing in an album (good lyrics don't have to be poetic or deep, a light and sweet love song can be extremely well written and will have all the points for me), 'Diversity' with 3 points imo a good album has different things to suggest, not always different genres but definitely a bit of diversity in lyrics and vibes. Then 'Coherence' with also 3 points because if it's great to have a diverse album if no songs make sense together then it's a bit disappointing, it doesn't need to have a story or having all the songs follow each other (for the loooore) but i like a good coherence!

momo wrote funny valentine, mina wrote it's not easy for you, sana wrote rewind you. mina wrote it's not easy for you with onces in mind, how the fans always said to her that they're trapped in her swamp (charm) and can't escape/break free, her implying she knows her power over the fans and enjoys it, wanting them to focus on her and never break free (she's evil) also all songs have live performances from their showcase in Japan, Funny valentine performance specially is a MUST see (although all of them are amazing) this whole album can be interpreted as them saying the lyrics to the fans as well as interpreted as relationship songs (the fan aspect specially true for It's not easy for you, Behind the curtain, Do not touch, marshmallow & bouquet) bouquet is an OST for a Japanese TV show :3

'Do Not Touch' is talking about consent, and even more so as it applies to a relationship (although I can see how you quickly associate it to them as artists/idols and I think it can also apply in this setting). It's written in the perspective of someone in a relationship who is not ready to consummate it yet. The lyrics tell us that the protagonist is waiting for the time until they're ready, and in the meantime, is asking the significant other to wait as it will be sweeter and more meaningful and more special when they are both ready. In the chorus, aside from the 'you can watch me watch me but you can't touch me touch me', the protagonist says 'when I say it's okay, until then, sorry but you can't touch me'. I think it's an outstanding pop song with great lyricism to illustrate consent in terms that the general public will understand. Not many songs, especially in mainstream pop, let alone k-pop (although technically this is j-pop) have talked about this subject in a while and it managed to do so in an elegant, energetic, and electric way. It truly encapsulates the meaning of the album 'Masterpiece' and was a very unique and perfect way for MiSaMo to debut. Thanks for the reaction!

'Bouquet' is OST for japanese drama ('Liaison: Children Heart Clinic' i think) with lyric about someone who feel grateful but also feel unworthy (but think of it as a loop or circle) and 'marshmallow' like give yourself a break. so, the whole album say about someone who feel not completed, not good enough, feel bad about themself and tell that don't beat up yourself too hard 'you are already masterpiece' (as album name) some how, i interpret this album like that. :D (as bouquet as conclusion) have a good day. :)

A breakdown of this album: 1. Bouquet was first released in this album because it was an OST 2. Marshmallow was a pre-release earlier than the title track 3. Do not touch, finally it was released Some crazy fun fact: MiSaMo debuted at July 26, 2023 while jihyo debut at August 18, 2023, like onces are really well fed since TWICE debut. TMI: And that's why TWICE always get thrown these question which are "are they're not tired?" and “jype is forcing this girls to make a bunch of music" and which is make a lot of sense, like for example released a 5 albums in one year! (2018) and after that some kpop fans always ask if TWICE is getting some rest

4:25 As an art student, I love the do no touch mv an incredibly normal amount!!! I wrote an actual essay(not even for an assignment) after researching the art pieces they referenced and recreated (Funny that it was prompted in a different RU-vid comment section)

There’s actually a lot of references to classical art pieces, _masterpieces,_ of famous artists like Botticelli, Fragonard, and Klimt. 5:05 Yes, it’s probably a bit of both, but, it makes more sense (at least to me) if it’s about a romantic relationship since they were talking about a time that “touching” would be allowed. The paintings (art pieces) is a very fitting simile since you aren’t allowed to _touch_ them unless you are given a permission to do so. (And only a certain group of people are allowed to do so.) 19:29 Wow did you just describe the showcase? Their performance was awesome! (The _entire_ show was, actually, not just this particular one.) Very nice reaction. Also, you’ve got a very beautiful voice there. 💕

i agree with your observation with momo in her higher register or when she is either at or beyond her range. yes her voice is already nasal but it borders on unpleasant when at this area especially when a lot more tense. her mid to lower register is definitely her comfort range and she sounds so much more at ease and pleasant. at least to me. the nasality can work on some tracks though

Momo's nasal voice was imposed by JYP when TWICE was formed, originally she did´t use it as a resource when singing middle notes when she was in SIXTEEN
