GRADING EXPLANATION:
Here are my three categories for rating albums: 'Good lyrics' with 4 points because it's imo one of the most important thing in an album (good lyrics don't have to be poetic or deep, a light and sweet love song can be extremely well written and will have all the points for me), 'Diversity' with 3 points imo a good album has different things to suggest, not always different genres but definitely a bit of diversity in lyrics and vibes. Then 'Coherence' with also 3 points because if it's great to have a diverse album if no songs make sense together then it's a bit disappointing, it doesn't need to have a story or having all the songs follow each other (for the loooore) but i like a good coherence!

Nayeon actually has the most developed lower register in TWICE, though she be belting up there on a regular or even in head voice. Her voice can still have support & have so much presence down there instead of going airy & unnatural larynx placement. I just love it whenever she gets a chance to showcase it, it's just lovely.

One Spark, Rush, and Bloom has this Dnb/Garage-pop type beat maybe that's why you thought those are hyper pop. Fun fact: Bloom was supposed to be in Jihyo's Zone album cause she couldn't perform her lines, but she still sings her lines in this song on twice's album lol (If you think about it the instrumentals are similar to "Killing me Good")

Funfact: Chaeyoung who wrote Rush said that the song was inspired by PinkPantheress And Dahyun who wrote You Get Me said that the song was like a continuation of I Got You. Like IGY n YGM are siblings 😅

Jeong and mina watching out the window & seeing darkness is a metaphor for their uncertain feelings during their own health breaks. But just as the lyrics say, the members light up the flares even if theyre miles apart. Without a doubt, theyll make it thru cos they always got each other

i love this EP. so much 'with you' also 'with youth' as they sing to their journey as TWICE (as Jihyo once said TWICE is her youth) but not just for TWICE but people in general like dream&passion(one spark) explore&growing(learning?)(new new) and patience (bloom) and people along the way(i got you, rush, you get me) ('bloom' can apply to fan, also them or someone who feel struggle (keep that one spark) (also remind me of Jihyo who been trainee for 10 year and plan to debut before TWICE but the group got canceled before debut, think how struggling she is)) a pop album with life quote philosophy is hard to get (at least for me anyway) have a good day. :)

Regarding the boat looking smaller than expected in the _I Got You_ MV.... the interior scenes were shot on a set while the exterior shots were shot on an actual boat. Also, speaking of seasickness, Momo got really seasick to the point she could barely move and can barely remembers what happened that day. And as soon as they made it to land, she had to go film the dance scene on the rocks with Dahyun. Talk about a trooper! In fact, all the girls are.... especially given how cold the weather was, and you then you also remember how strongly the winds were blowing those flags at the field they were dancing in. 🥶🥶

after the storm, mina came up to the deck, thinking she was alone only to see the others were already there. idk but it made me think of mina's hiatus, her doubting if she could come back, and jihyo telling her not to worry bc they'll go through it together as a group

i think not many notice this but at the end of their last pose, they are closing their eyes. it's like when you feel safe and comfortable, you tend to close your eyes to really feel that comfort. and i just think that's a very heartwarming little detail 🤗❤ and btw, u were so right with the fanchant on "burnin. BURNIN!" LOL

Yeah, this whole album has been a beautiful shift in direction for Twice musically! It still SCREAMS Twice and yet its new and fresh and sparkling. I seriously love this mini-album so friggin much. With every listen it gets better and better.

3:42 yes yes, it's mean they got each other in no matter what circumstances, even if it's storm outside they are keeping each other warm and safe from all that's happening outside, but when they kepp firm to each other and guided each other the storm goes away and they can see the sun ( all the problems disappear ) :)

Yay!! I was so excited for you to listen to this one! Honestly I think this might have been one of the most coherent albums twice has made, like each song on the album go together and as a whole it just feels like a warm hug from Twice to Once (and also to each other). I was excited to see you enjoy Nayeon’s more chill tone! I think you’d enjoy her solo album Im Nayeon then, as she has a few songs with that vibe and it really allows her to give her vocals a chance to shine. I know you already have it on your list but I’m looking forward to you checking it out! Anyways thanks as always for your very thoughtful and interesting review! "Catch me before I ever hit the ground" "And I do the same for you" The SanaYeon incident ( when sana was taking a shower and ended up sleeping under the shower and nayeon thought it was strange that she was taking so long and so she managed to get into the bathroom and saw naked sana basically drowning in the water and woke her up quickly, she could have died, They both say that Sana could have died that day if Nayeon hadn't arrived and stopped her, Sana keeps saying that Nayeon saved her)

I love how this whole "Momo's real register" narrative could be used for multiple members but no one does it bc it wouldn't really make sense and it's clear they just all have pretty wide ranges they can play around in (and do..). Legitimately the only reason this has stuck with Momo is the whole encore thing that was blown out of proportion and that no one ever let go (i still see people use it to bash the group and her specifically to this day) That and the fact that some people just don't like the tone of her voice - bc her alleged "fake/forced register" is literally just how she sounds when she speaks, laughs etc. lmao like that's literally just how her voice sounds? but hey! That's without mentioning the fact that parts need to fit the songs 😭 she's not gonna use her deep ass register for DTNA - same way the other members don't use theirs for songs that don't call for it like let's be serious

@@soliedaisy Yeah, they really all do tbh. The encore thing was during on of those music show encores in 2020 - Momo's voice randomly cracked, she got surprised and started laughing, the members that heard her were laughing too, the rest of them just kept doing their thing, then they kept it moving but apparently no one else could lmao It spread like wildfire and was used ad nauseam - even in things that had nothing to do with TWICE. I can't overstate the impact it had when it was quite literally never that serious to begin with. It used to be a moment where the artists could goof around to celebrate their win and - if they sang - the quality of the singing was never considered to be a testament to anything bc there were no stakes at all. I really mean it btw like no one was looking at encores this way before. But now let one group not sound stellar during an encore and all of a sudden they're a sham or something. What makes it more ridiculous is we're talking about the thing where TWICE used to try to sing with ice cubes in their mouths, would just bring watermelon on stage to eat (and try to make seeds stick to their faces), would just talk w the fans in the audience etc. like... what happened to fun 😭

is about each other! you can see as a love song but you can also see clear with all the lyrics and mv that is talking about them, they obviously used some baby and stuff for the song, the favorite person thing, they are favorite person of each other, and forever is here if you stick with me is literally was happened in the i got you mv.... and jihyo also said that is all the album about they :)

I was just gonna schedule this video BUT ITS IN UNLISTED HOW DID YOU FIND IT 😂 Also I think I will watch everything in my own time because I love discovering twice more privately!! (in the sense of if I see a BTS or a reaction video from them I will watch it without having to wait to film myself, they have really funny and nice personalities and it's great to discover it by myself with what people recommend me!) "I GOT YOU" This is a song about the members friendship The members are destined to be with each other and us ONCE will get through the STORM together and keeps us going. >MINA and JEONGYEON watched the storm from the window depicts the time they were on Hiatus and when they are with the members they feel comfortable >SANA's Upside scene depicts that when SANA lost her smile and JIHYO being hug by SANA depicts also JIHYO's time when a false rumor was spread about her it shows that HUG is very precious for them. >The CABIN in the boat symbolizes CALMNESS because the members are together, eventhough there is a STORM depicting they Got each other whatever the situation.

Only Mina and Jeong watched the storm from the window because they were the ones who had been on hiatus. At the beginning of the scene, Mina saw a storm but smiled again when she saw the members. 3. The boat inside always feels warm even though there is a storm outside, which means that no matter how hard it is, they always feel warm and at home in each other's company. correction. jihyo once went on a short hiatus earlier on in their career because of an injury. don't quite remember when. except that jeongyeon covered her lines. however, mina and jeongyeon are the only ones who went on anxiety induced hiatus
