Bought the 40 volt this past year and definitely a good running saw , but as heavy as a gas saw and I never get the life out of the battery this video is displayed?? I think I'll order a new battery and hope it performs better.
the 4 pin templet is so the 20volt batteries use the same mold just different pins . The electric saw is great for clearing trails when you only need to do a cut or two at a time if you are cutting up fire wood forget about it
All in all this was a pretty good review. I have had a green works pro 80v for several years. You aren't going to go earn a living in the woods with it. Having said that it absolutely does replace a gas saw on my property. It's not a 395 Husqvarna. It's about the equivalent of the 440 rancher. I have not tried this saw yet. but I don't think I would compare any 40v saw to a gas model. They serve different purposes. These electric saws have a good many advantages over their gas counterparts in many applications. To name just a few. Literally anybody can start these saws. If you are too old or a tiny women or disabled in some fashion. These saws make it possible to operate a chainsaw on your own. Push a button and you're off and cutting. There is little noise and no fumes. This makes them very versatile carpentry saws. Much easier to control than a reciprocating saw. Have you ever tried to cut a 4x4 to length with a 7 1/4" circle saw? They make plunge cuts,, flush cuts, and cuts to length larger less managible size lumber. Furthermore do you know how many spark plugs and fuel lines I have had to replace? Zero. Which is the exact same number of times I've had to tune the carb or adjust the idle. I never have to buy or mix gas. Or be sure I have enough fuel to clear that brush. Try cooning trees off the neighbors back 40 with a gas saw without getting caught. These electric saws are quiet enough ya could steal that lovely apple tree for your smoker right off his front lawn while he's on the crapper . They work great in a canoe or on the four wheeler for keeping your favorite passages obstruction free. If all your gonna compare is power for power all electric saws will be lacking. But if that's your only factor you are missing the forest for the trees. They may not be comparable to gas when judging power. .... Not yet anyway..... But they are absolutely useful worthwhile t9ols .
