How will the PCL charger interact with a BMS that floats the voltage at 12.8v after reaching a full charge at ~13.5v? Will it read it as being low charge and reinitiatethe charging process if left plugged in? What voltage would initiate a charging cycle after completing a full charge in the lithium setting?
I had an issue with my new 440PCL charger. I attached it to my new lithium batteries, plugged it up and they charged correctly. I went out a couple of days later and this is what I found. 2 of the 4 backs were doing the following. I called Minn Kota support and they couldn't tell me what this meant. Plugged it in and it started the cycle and this happened Flashed "Red" Flashed "Green 5 times on both 1 & 3 batteries Flashed "Red" Flashed "Green 5 times on both 1 & 3 batteries Any idea what this means?
Mark Harrelson, The Charger is trying to wake up the battery to charge it. The BMS is disconnecting. We would recommend you try the banks on different batteries to confirm whether there is something wrong with the Charger or the BMS/Battery. Best Regards!
