I bought the whole album. Have no idea what the songs are about, but I don't care. The 'little French songs' sound so gorgeous and make me so happy, I don't even want to know what they mean, because that might ruin the magic.
Carla a beaucoup de classe, une voix douce et des chansons toujours différentes. Je trouve ça petit de la décrédibiliser parce qu'elle a été la femme du président.
Soooo sweet. Her voice and her French are absolutely magnificent and beautiful( even when I totally don't understand anything 😂😂) Wish to be mastered in French soon😀
Just saw on the Today Show as well - this song really struck a good cord with me and consequently got me motivated to starting my day on a positive note here in the Big Wonderful City of Dreams New York!!
my new favorite artist! My brother asked me who I like to listen to, and I responded I just work, but I now need my granddaughter to help me up loan her music. Former First Lady of France. So gorgeous and talented. I just want to figure out how to put this on my ipad!

I bought Carla Bruni's first album out of curiosity, and have bought all subsequent albums. I have yet found a song I dislike. Her seemingly fragile voice brings so much sweetness to the songs.
Yes, it's mixed. It goes along the lines of "When life gets you down, think of a french song to listen too. It will make you feel better. Sure, a french song may not be the work of famous American artists like Elvis or Duke Ellington, but the french certainly have a rich array of artists to brag about(frimer), like Edith Piaf. That's why the artist, personally, chooses to sing a FRENCH song when she feels bad!
News flash!!! She is singing in her native tongue, Tuscano, Italian. She is married to the former President of France and most of her songs are in French. but not this one. If you would like to hear the song in French google Little French Songs, translations, and you can see a clip of the original writer and singer of this song doing it in French. The song was originally written during the German occupation of France.
I stand corrected..I had just listened to her version of Dolce Francia, and thought the comments were about that song. Little French Song is in French.
OK I am IN LOVE with this song, and I'm using it for my book report but I don't speak French, sooo if you know what the song is about please reply it will be greatly appreciated THANKS
