@@lroberts99 A style... they always played them tunes nicely ( Thans Charlie ns Bill, especialy Bill here) but slower. Anyway, nobody was able to play School days, or No Particular place to go. Why? The ones who saw Chuck in a good day on stage know. And never tried to try.
@@huascar66 did you see the Chuck Berry documentary where Chuck's scolding Keith about playing "Oh Carol" wrong? The Get Yer Ya Ya's Out" Stone's live album went Platinum, and Chuck's telling him he's doing it wrong!!
Best bands ever on Earth : The Beatles lead the way, most influential & popular, the Rolling Stones, with a mention to Chicago, The Beach Boys creating their own style, CCR , couple others like The Ventures , best instrumental band. Maybe there's no such thing as THE best, they're all the greatest. But ELO is not from here... they're from out there, came here on that spaceship to send us their "secret messages " of love and joy. Voted the best live band in the world, it is an Experience out of this world. The "Sons of Beatles" ( J.Lennon said), Jeff Lynne of ELO is a musical genious . 😎🛸🎸 But The Stones totally rock here, and I so love it. ❤
Although some complain about Queenie taking up precious grooves on Ya-Ya’s, I love that version. BTW, I was at the Friday late show at MSG for that ‘69 tour!
This was the music that inspired them to form the band in 1962. Nobody does it better! Btw, while touring together in UK, Chuck Berry punched Keith in the nose for picking up his guitar w/o permission! True history!
they got old?so did we, i prefer them, even now from electronic dapa doopa of people playing with computers knowing nothing from playing an instrument or singers from televoting, hip hop etc.
Interesting to compare this with their 1969 performance of this tune at Madison Square Garden: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CfV7eSoRpCk.htmlsi=J0Cf0rkzPzQXNLHj Which one do you like better?
Sounds a bit like Johnny Be Good. This is the first time l've heard this song. So far so good. Someone once told me Mick hasn't got a good voice, but knows how to use it. If that's true he's certainly very good. If l hadn't heard of the Stones playing this, l'd probably think it's an African American bluesman. Wow, Mick and the whole band sound so good. If there was a band that was meant to be together it's the Stones. They were meant to do this. Because if you look at say a bit under half of their existence, they had plenty of material, at least that the public's aware of, to forge ahead. A lot of bands have come and gone, some because they didn't have the people in place etc etc. But l'm glad the Stones stayed together, because it would've been such a waste of their talent. Which reminds me of Keith once saying they knew they've got something with this band. It shows whenever they play, the excitement looking at each other, and the crowds loving it to.
Please don't say ' ìconic' again. Mick Jagger is not a good singer, more like a shouter. Keith Richards is a mediocher guitarist. Charlie Whats and Bill Whyman are competent musicians. Together, they are fantastic rock band.
I seen the Stones in 89 at Busch Stadium St Louis. I was wishing Chuck Berry would show up and do a couple tunes with them. He didn't ,but his Piano player-Johnny Johnson did. It was great, but I wish Chuck would have. Afterall he was from STL.
Meanwhile I was thinkin' If shes in the mood No need to break it I got the chance, I take it. Reminds me of my teenage days. We always never made it with the girls. Ah well.
Mick seem to put more time and effort on this video into gallivanting around the stage rather than years years ago the effort went into the music, pull up from the past the original videos of this song from 1969 and done so well and so cool and so original Rolling Stones.
Fui a 16 Show dos Stones Na minha City RJ, fui em todos eles, só não fui no Show em Copacabana no meu bairro porque estava trabalhando estava abordo, mas no mesmo ano assisti na Argentina !
