Thanks Matt..... what a great night .Later , I couldn't believe my eyes when Ronnie came out into the middle of the audience for a while to watch , standing with the rest of us . Certainly a night I won't forget . And thanks to Ben and family for a great night and great birthday cake ......... cheers🎉
Seeing Ronnie playing a Squier, it's hilarious! What a great guy (and guitar player) ! Long live rock'nroll and happy birthday to Ben Waters! Thank you Matt for sharing this great moment with us!
I've got a Squier Tele and it's a great guitar. For your average working musician who can't afford the outrageous prices of American-made or vintage guitars, these are solid axes. Ronnie proves it!
Living proof that "Rock n 'Roll keeps ye young, man..!" 🎸 enjoy..! 🎸 Lovely smooth and creative coverage by the classy camera operator. 🎥A regular one-shot, one-take wonder..! Obviously a pro at work, and having fun, too..! congrats..!🎥
Sehr gute Aufführung...Ronnie Wood liefert hier einen genialen Rock'n Roll Vortrag mit tollen Gitarren-Rhythmus....musste glatt dabei rocken 💃... Weiter so Ronnie 🎸✌... 🎼🎶🎵🔝👏...
Started listening to R Woods in the early 70’s w/Rod Stewart,(if my memory serves me correctly), and he’s still going strong. Great legacy and a great rocker.
Once I had a Tele squire, a tuner sprung and wouldn’t hold tuning so I got some mini grover tuners installed. I was I kidding around with the tech about having a humbucker installed in the neck position. He said he had an old PAF humbucker that needed a home , I said ok, so he put the PAF in. It didn’t have the power so I just turned up the amp. It sounded good then. I wish I still had that guitar.
As an old Stones garage band copier, I noticed Ronnie left a few spots open during the proceedings. That's because they were the parts that Keef was supossed to jump into. (Hee-hee!)
Reminds me of the story we're Ron's bandmate Keith, told Chuck; you can't be playing with that of a shitty sound.. Chuck gave Keith a fist on the shnaze... 😅
Just a note about Fender guitars around the middle/ late seventies. I bought a sunburst, rosewood fretboard Strat at a shop. It had to be ordered and when it arrived it was horrible to play. The store owner sent it back to the distributor as unplayable and it's replacement was , let's say alright. I sold it after a short time. Now , many years later I have a Vintage ( Wilkinson) Strat. 😊
since ronnie didn't do it, why didnt someone lower his mic for him!?! though maybe since he forgot half the words to Around and Around, he didn't mind!! great stuff thanks for posting.
My first guitar was a cheap Squire. I was 15. Over the years I’ve bought two top end Squires. Both are very playable. Of course I own Fenders, Gibson and a Les Paul. Nostalgia, however, always returns me to my Squires. Ronnie can make the absolutely worst guitar sound angelic.
Excellent!! After me messing about with a guitar on and off for 30 years i can say I can actually play abit. Plus i could hardly hear much skill here with Ronnie. I saw Stones Urban Jungle show at Hampden Football Park in 89 i believe. Fantastic show!! Big infatable Honky Tonk Wonan and big barking dog inflatables on stage and bursting out from where i just thought the amps were. So this was a different Ronnie Wood. I was being sarcastic when i said i can play the guitar "better" just the Glaswegian in me. Cheers. Even though i didn't actually say i was "better" though folk will read too much into things..There you go infact. Something to read. Have a nice day.
Well, I hope the crooks at Fender don't see this video because they will raise the price of this cheap ass Indonesian made SQUIER to a GRAND just because Ronnie is playing one. Get to the guitar store QUICK.
Wood war doch nie ein richtiger Rolling Stone, der hampelt doch immer nur und imitiert Keith. Mick Taylor war gut, zu gut und kreativ für die Rolling Stones.
