As THE TICKETS duo we enjoy performing our own arrangements of Sixties classics, using a variety of acoustic instruments and some unique foot percussion. Our dobro and harmonica version of Little Red Rooster is one of six numbers that we performed live during an afternoon at the Sofa Lounge studio in The Hague. We've taken inspiration from the Howlin' Wolf original, as well as from Brian Jones' superb slide playing on the 1964 cover by The Rolling Stones.
Did you enjoy Little Red Rooster? We certainly enjoyed recording it and have since added many more videos from our own Attic Studio that we set up after being inspired by this recording session. We'd love to welcome you as a subscriber to our 200,000 view channel!

Charlie fills with hi-hat triplets in the Stones' version, giving it a 6/8 groove. With foot percussion this fill is not possible as you would need to ride with sticks, so we take it a little faster to keep the energy and the momentum going in the 4/4. Thanks for listening and commenting, we appreciate a listener with attention to detail!
