It's been about 2 years since she's had any manual experience, but now she's back...just in the other side of the car FIVE THREE SUPPLY (merch): fivethreesupply.com ➥ INSTAGRAM / evanshanks ➥ TWITTER / evanshanks MUSIC: Jordyn Edmonds
@@mikecortez1846I think of myself as a good driver. i never stall. Like ever. But almost every time my parents are in the car I stall out completely at least once, just the manual curse
@@charly4323 Dam, son! I see them everywhere. My friends have Saab 9-3 auto, Tiguan auto, Megane auto, Qashqai auto, Smart auto.. My next will be automatic also. The comfort is amazing while driving inside the city. No knee pain, no back pain from pushing the clutch pedal from meter to meter crawling at snail pace while stuck in traffic.
Bailey Clarke 1 getting the car moving is the hardest part! Never downshift to first gear unless you’re almost at a complete stop, if you’re stopped at an uphill you can always put your e brake on and give off the clutch alittle then when cars start moving just drop the e brake (or just try to be pro at getting it moving without rolling into the car behind) if you’re going pretty fast and traffic is coming to a stop, don’t worry about downshifting. Just hit that clutch and throw it in neutral, and shift as needed if traffic continues to move. Make sure if you stall at a traffic light to throw it out of gear just to make sure you’re not in 3rd or something. And that’s about all the advice I have for beginners!
kaden Galloway “never downshift to first...” you mean if your going to downshift to first make sure to pin the gas to the floor before popping the clutch other wards the car might stall 😉🤫
I learnt how to drive manual from the video u were using the subaru, i was subscribed to ur channel and somehow i didn't know u were the guy in the manual trans tut until lately. Love your content👌
Very nice I been waiting for a video eith the little sis trying to drive a stick. I'm glad she's gotten more comfortable in the videos enough to take the lessons a little more serious , not much longer now and she'll be throwing it into corners like a boss lol
She was doing what most people do when learning to drive manual even before learning to drive auto, is when bringing the clutch up they bring their foot up from the accelerator/gas aswell but not bad progress for her first time haha!
Laki Games well he skateboards, or atleast used to skateboard, wasn’t very good but there’s a older video like 4 years ago with the Subaru and he tried to kickflip.
Honestly, you should get her a miata to learn stick and it could be a brother/sister project car. You could teach her to drift in it also. I'd really like to see that.
I really want a professional drifter to secretly teach her how to send it so next time Evan wants to make a video like this he gets the poop scared out of him
You are a good teacher, my friend, and lucky because you have a beautiful and lucky sister as well as a brother like you who treats her well and supports her for life, so take this opportunity because it is a blessing that many do not have I wish you both a happy life
Evans how to drive stick video actually helped me a lot when I was learning, I was literally struggling last month and now I’m decent. It’s definitely confusing when you don’t know anything🤣🤣
Im glad you're teaching your sister the art of driving a manual transmission! I gotta say tho, RHD is weird, but you gotta get used to it! However, that shift knob, no labels, its quite intimidating! 😂
dunno which is better... having a little sister you have a great relationship with or having a big brother who teaches you driving in a Supra :) how ever, wish you guys all the best :)
I still remenber how i got into your channel. I was looking for yt tutorials on how to drive manual cars. I like your camera set up back then and I always try to imitate the way you drive. Now, I am used to joining race cars here in the Philippines. Thanks for the videos!! 🇵🇭
A tip for anyone starting/wanting to learn how to drive a manual; Start off with the clutch fully pressed in. Set the revs between 1000-1200 rpm (foot on the gas) and then slowly lift your clutch pedal. As you lift the clutch, try to press down a little firmer on the gas and then you’re off! 😁
its pretty funny when you try to teach someone something that is natural to you, I had a lot of problems teaching my cousin how to drive (yeah, to drive, in a manual, 3rd world problems). a thing I learned to is teach how to do the 1st gear before anything. so when they do stall they don't panic.
Every car I own has a fire extinguisher in it. Should my car ever catch fire I will not watch it burn down helplessly. I think everyone that actually likes their car should have one regardless of how old it is
