I don't know if she's guilty or not, but seeing the way law enforcement handled this case so poorly...there's a ton of readable doubt. Everyone in the house, where a man lay on the lawn, should have been questioned, separately.

Just because an injured or even a dead body is found on your property, just 8 ft from the road no less, doesn't give probable cause to obtain a warrant to search the home of the property owner; no reason to seize their personal property; search their phones. At the time it wasn't even determined what the cause or manner of death was. Zero evidence anyone in the home had anything to do with injuring him at the point. LE questioned the ppl in the home, all of whom said John never came into the house that night.

There is probable cause when the body in question was said by the home owner, was supposed to be coming to that house to party. It wasn't just a random person laying outside. John Okeffe was purposely coming to the Albert's house.

I agree. I also feel this comment was directed towards the defense team more so. They are legally bound to do & ask whatever is needed to save Karen from this corrupt mess. There is not a day as yet, where this judge hasn't done something that doesn't pass the sniff test. I see a judge who is bias but thinks no one is noticing and this has been happening in every court session for this case. Even her swiveling on her chair during testimony tells me she's not interested in the truth of what happened, let alone the sighs.

We all know that if any of us "non-cop" folk had a beat up, near death, man on our front lawn, our homes would be locked down with in minutes and all our butts would be standing out in that cold snow because the PC is having the victim on our front lawn!!!!! Police officer for 24 years & you didn't interview the people who lived at the crime scene, didn't fact check a witness, didn't take legit blood samples, didn't even seal the blood evidence, didn't close off the crime scene, didn't check the house for foul play, WHAT DID YOU DO? @pebblez21 assuming arguendo that she did confess at the scene (debatable), how do you justify not performing a proper investigation - their JOB - based on that?? Recanting happens all the time. Even when it doesn’t - trials happen all the time - even when there are confessions. You still need to support even bringing the charges. Those supports are comprised of evidentiary proofs properly gathered at the crime scene and accumulated during the investigation. A “confession” means absolutely nothing at this stage in the investigation.

This is so obvious to me this is a big time cover up by the police. Not saying they are all in on it, but come on... These cops saying they had no reason or probable cause to go into the house??! Give me a break! If any of us lay people were in this situation, the cops would have demanded and got a search warrant for the whole frickin house, and would have demanded to interview everyone there on record. This is ludacris. And these cops look ridiculous in their testimony of this.

The incompetency of Officer Lank is beyond the pale! 24 years as a police officer and does not know how to affix evidence tape to a bag containing evidence. What was he taught in the school to become a police officer? Are police officers required continuing education after receiving their certificate after graduating from cop school? I would be scared to to live in Canton because of the ineptness of every police officer I have seen give testimony in this case. I would like to know how the O'Keefe family feels about the "investigations" done by the police in this case.

The defense are a bunch of weasels, thats why. Their entire "tipster" which formed this phony defense and allowed it into trial was a scam from the start. Karen's second biggest mistake after that night was going along with this BS and not pleading guilty. She might have doubts about whether she did it but deep down knows its extremely likely she is a killer. was she so blacked out she can't remember or not that drunk so her driving and Actions should have been fine. They are trying to have it both ways.

The judge talks about not wasting the jury's time or something along those lines. But she's the one cutting these trial days short with half days. Maybe she should go a full business day and not waste anyone's time. Get it over with.

Plus, every 5 minutes, when the defense is cross examining, she calls a side bar. Rarely with the state. Which also prolongs the trial. Let the defense do his job! His whole case is about shoddy and biased police work. Judge is biased.

The cops also stared straight at Lally with smirks waiting for him to object. I bet Lally knows this is a ridiculous trial and that's why he is struggling and needs prompting to object.

This judge was incredibly unprofessional and she ran that trial so unorganized. There were constant issues with making exhibits, SHE called for a sidebar every 5 minutes, her constant sighing into the mic and the most outrageous thing was, when she told the attorneys not to waist the jurors time with so many questions. SERIOUSLY?! The defendant is facing serious prison time and she tells the defense (the comment was mostly towards the defense) not to ask so many questions in order to defend their client? Unbelievable. If Karen Read would’ve been convicted, the judge would’ve handed her an appeal on a silver platter with that behavior.

No track marks on the yard .. plus the plow driver seeing a ford edge at the scene. An investigator would be too smart at lead it to leave footprints in the snow. I think they waited for the plow to go by, so they didn't get caught.. and loaded him up in the car in the garage or driveway and driven on the street and dumped.

What is the prosecution contending that Ms. Read's vehicle hit the victim on the road or on the lawn? If on the road how would there be so many pieces of the rear taillight be scattered so far onto the lawn and deep under the snow? If he was hit while standing on the lawn where are any marks of a car backing over the curb?

It’s absolutely ridiculous that the victim’s brother and sister in law are seated right in Karen’s face. It’s intimidating and she’s innocent until proven guilty. They should be seated on the prosecution side or somewhere behind, where they can’t stare her down.

I thought the same thing, but THEIR TESTIMONY was favorable to Karen: I think the feds have spoken to the family of OFFICER John O’Keefe. No one seems to want to call him by his official name. They seem to forget that he is a brother in blue. His name is Officer John O’Keefe, and I’m speculating about the family, because their testimony wasn’t favorable to the prosecution on the first day. At least I didn’t seem to think so.

@@casmihok2962 There have been a number of instances where she seems exasperated by the defense. It's in her tone and language. Even when she admonishes 'both sides' she looks directly at the defense. As an observer, I should not get the feeling that she favors the Commonwealth.

the judge’s impatience with the defense - whether it be questioning a witness, making an argument, or locating documents - and her loud sighs are inappropriate. her favoritism towards the prosecution is evident, and her behavior is infringing on the defense and likely impacting the jury’s view of the defendant.

I’ve never seen a judge just say “sustained” before even asking for the objection grounds, such as hearsay, 403B, council testifying, etc. and then she doesn’t let the other side argue their objection to the objection.!

30 minutes into their 4 hour trial and she already wants a break. Yet she tells the defense attorney HE is wasting the juries time? 😆 she is a joke on top corrupt. No obvious demt in the pile of snow that usualy lines the side of a street in snow country as many know. No massive damage from this jumpung of a curb and lawn driving mid winter storm.
