Love this video, finding those two brass fuse sections next to two pieces of iron was really cool, I could hear that iron tone clearly. I’ve been a pitch tone guy for a couple years. Full tones in certain situations. I also love Goldfield! It’s like pitch tone on steroids😆 By the way, you’ve got the volume on the control box set perfectly for the camera! Watching on my home theater it becomes like a continued learning experience. I can picture swinging the instrument myself and hearing those tones nicely through my system, I’m picking up all kinds of good info from you. thank you!
This VCO configuration is the top performer in many places I hunt. It is simple to tune. Full tones can be finnicky in trash. Adjusting the discrimination is the key setting for the VCO.
I know this is an old video but I go through your videos to learn. And you have taught me a lot already. I wanted to just ask you if you can actually hear the difference between a target that’s clipping on iron and or a target that just has iron and non ferrous in the same hole. How can one tell the difference
You will learn that masked tone as you learn that program tonal option. Each tonal option has a certain tone for iron and a different tone for a non ferrous target masked by iron. It is almost impossible to explain or demonstrate on video. The camera will not capture the real tones on the Deus. The trick with the Deus 2 is raising the iron volume as high as you can tolerate.
