Definitely needs an update in regards to ID. Solid ID numbers directly under the coil but anything past 2 to 3 inches in the soil target ID jumps around. I've noticed too whenever you change frequency you need to noise cancel and ground balance again as it does not carry over. Annoying but definitely a necessity for stability. This detector is more mechanical meaning you need to dial it in cross the T's and dot the i's will bring more success with the XTPRO. Nice find dude. Pretty good considering you were in 10khz on the Gold ring.
And I have lowered my sensitivity down to 12 and I have let the X-Terra Pro tell me what is in the ground and I have since Raised it up to 18 Sensitivity Now and when I get a Jumpy VDI I know that it's a JUNK Target And Or something Relic but I only Coin Shoot and I have enough of the Simplex Relics that it told me to Dig 👎. .. and I have Since got rid of the Simplex +....
I’ll remember to dig 20 30 50 and minus iron signals now with my xterra 🤣 Goes to show…. My old sovereign Elite with ID meter used to just bang on Rings ,(All my best finds were with a Safari I loved that thing too The overload feature I found handy) These new machines do all sorts of crazy stuff haha I’m surprised after using the equinox how fun the xterra is for the price though.. Enjoying being able to go out again after selling all my machines (minus the heavily over priced and heavy gpz I had to take a house deposit out for) lol Btw thanks for taking the time to make these videos for everyone to watch man Awesome!
Thanks for sharing some footage of the xterra pro, ive had the legend about a week and loving it so far! I had to pull the triger with it being $150 off.
Regarding the target ID, keep in mind each target block on the scale is allotted four numbers. Your never going to get rock steady VDI numbers on the X-Terra due to this and the unit being a single frequency unit. No update is going to change that unless it was built in to the capabilities of the hardware when designed by the engineers.
I've been watching others hunting with that machine saying the tones sound bad if they're very deep, but once the target is out, it sounds great and totally different. But I bet it won't take you long to get the machine dialed in, the pitch was sounding better to me also, congratulations on the gold brother 👍🏼
Saweet gold ring! Got my XT Pro coming in on Tuesday, hoping the stock coil gets some decent separation until the 8x5" coil is available. Maybe I should just go with the 6" Nox coil?
You would be surprised how many people buy the cheap Bounty hunters, besides the stock coil on this is too big for a lot of people including me. The coil Paystreak is using cost as much as the detector.
I keep reading once you get the right settings dialed in that it is a beast. I also heard that beach mode is secret multifrequency on this detector that minelab is hush about
Does the vdi change every time you are in a different frequency or mode. Is it different numbers to learn . I know a nokta impact has a normalization setting so v di is constant through all modes and frequencies
The Xterra has a huge handgrip that makes for a very uncomfortable hunt after a couple hours. The Vanquish has multi and has an S shaft. Vanquish is much much more ergonomic.
A gold on your first hunt with your new machine! That’s like playing your first slot machine after arriving to the casino and hitting the jackpot on the first pull.. 😆 Congrats!
Little late, but I hunt a freshwater swim area that has bad soil. Years ago I brought a rock home. learned it was a hot rock. When I hunt that area I switch to beach mode 1 or 2. I accept everything above 0. I use 5 tone. It's locked in a 8 Khz and seems gets rid of most chirps.
The detector these days have very very fast processors. We find lots and lots of rings, jewelry, coins and gold swinging fast. Just gotta train your ear to the tones.
Congrats on the gold ring! It will be interesting to see how the signals change over time as you get more experience with the machine and are able to get it dialed in in your mineralized ground. Cool find.
So far every video I've seen on this machine has the initial comment "wow the numbers and tones are all over the place". It seems to be a little unstable for most people. I predict an update coming soon. It seems to me it's having a problem with anything oddly shaped, like a gold ring on edge. 😆
The numbers are all over the place. It does not like my soil in 6 out of 7 parks/schools I have been to in the last 2 days. Hopefully Minelab will come forward with an update to get through the harsh soil and stabilize the numbers.
But not everyone can be able to get the Full Sensitivity without any kind of Ground Feedback and that's what is Happening with the X-Terra Pro it's Pretty Powerful Detector that can be lowered and still getting Targets and I have lowered mine at 12 Sensitivity and I was getting Targets in the 6-8 range and Swing Speed 3 And I know that it's not the Deep Settling but I swing pretty fast and I can change it up for what I like to get but the Simplex and it's 3 Tone's High Medium and Low Tone 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣......
@@sircharlescv Yes it's a Updateabile and the update is Not Necessary for the X-Terra Pro to work and I have lowered mine to 12 Sensitivity and until I got use to what it was telling me about the target and I have seen some people that are expecting it to and All Detector's to be able to do the Full Sensitivity without any kind of Ground Feedback and that's why the Jumpy VDI is Happening with the X-Terra Pro and Even when I was using the Simplex + , I was on 3 bars and it's going to be Site Dependent on how much Sensitivity you need to get the targets and I have since Raised the Sensitivity up to 18 now and I understand the Jumpy VDI and it's occurs when it comes to a Junk Target And it's amazing how much it knows and doesn't necessarily need a Update......
Congratulations on the little gold ring ! That little coiltek coil is forsure a sniper coil for cherry picking coins and it will definitely hit on the smaller gold jewelry!! I have it on my 700 and it picks apart parks it doesn't miss much but maybee for some deeper targets. Anything in the 1-7 inch range it doesn't miss it will hit past the 7 inch mark thow..!! Good luck and happy hunting ! ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
Nails? I have never dug a nail wth the X TERRA PRO or any other Minelab VLF that didn't have coin in the same hole. Can't help but question the motive of you posting these videos.
Rings are simply luck if you pass over one. No rym or reason for where they will be. You can hit high traffic areas but as I have done for the last month I have pounded the high traffic zone at the town soccer field. Not a single ring. Even a costume junker. Nothing. I was tired the other day so I moved out to the middle section that's just grass not where they play soccer or sit. Just a big grass area. Only a target every 6 to 10ft. BAM I hit an 8 gram gold ring! No reason for it to be their. It's nothing like gold nugget hunting. Where you can raise your odds and look specific where the gold should be. Rings are just where they where lost. Could be 2 ft from the parking lot....could be in the middle of the park. Today I pounded the same soccer park for 4 hours. Over 200 targets dug. 98 coins total and the rest pull tabs and can slaw. One costume ring in all of that. You just never know when the gold gods will get you over a ring. Dig dig dig and keep on digging. I have probably dug over 1000 pull tabs and pieces of can slaw in the hundreds to. Then I hit the 8 gram gold ring and it rang up with a 42 VDI on the Legend which I though would be a zinc penny. Who knows!
It's a ring, got a ring,1 inch in the ground, why did target) give a iron reading, was GB set wrong😮 Sweep speed stupid. Good target surface. Total luck of the draw find.
Congratulations on the GOLD 💥💥💥👨🦯 Manticore, Search Mode High Conductors, the Target Trace for gold paints a dirty picture. Switch to Low Conductors and the Target trace for gold is nice and orderly, aluminum caps, pull tabs, and foil look great too. Just the opposite for Silver. I heard an iron tone after flipping the plug. The gold ring was closer to the surface, half inch deeper and that ring would of never seen the light of day. Soil masking, you either focus on shallower targets or dig the iron tones and aluminum. Brutal. Tks! GL👨🦯HH
