Great Video's TTD. I've watched a bunch of them. I've always based by Buys on your vids. Thanks!!! My first was the Ace 250 Good Machine, found a Gold ring with it, but (too Slow), Then the Ace 350 (Too Slow), Then the At Pro (Had that Factory Defect), Then the Whites Mxt Pro (Old School), Then bought a Whites coinmaster pro, (don't waist your money). Then bought a Whites Coinmaster GT (excellent Machine in every Way). Moved up to a White's Mx5 (Great Machine, but Had a Factory Tone Glitch defect). Then bought a MineLab Safari (OMG what a fricken Nightmare, that warbling Bird tones drives you insane, the worst targeting ever too), Sold that in a heart beat, and Moved back to a Whites Coinmaster GT..... the best Detector you will get for the money... Hands down the best of the best, Next to the MX5 *if not for the Factory Tone Defect. Once again TTD, you are the best, and thank you for all your hands on NO BS reporting on Metal Detecting.
+valkari67 Thanks so much... The Safari does have its own language and it can be annoying for some people... :) You have like me taken the entire Detecting World Equipment Tour.. :)
I've got the MX-5 which is built on the same platform, and I actually like it more than the MXT-Pro I have. It is a very fun machine with great audio and features.
wfletch88 I have used the MX5 as well, very good and Whites doesn't do digital that often in the mid range with the exception of the Coinmasters (low to mid) and the MX5 (mid range)
Simply the best Detector money can buy. These units are becoming extremely Rare and difficult to find, since no one wants to sell their prized GT. . $400 for it brand new and worth every cent.
Great review, My first detector was a Whites Prism II. The Coin Masters are just a upgrade of that machine and would still recommend them to any one. GL/HH
It really is a good machine and remarkably deep. The only slight difficulty is the length for people over average height, but the world isn't built for the XLT people anyway. LOL GL/HH
started out with the GT & went to a MX Sport. had the firmware issue with the sport. sent it in. they cured it now im having issues with the sport again. kept the GT & am going to take it to the places I used thee sport & see if its me or the machine.
I agree, very loud. Unfortunately, my first dig with the GT in a trashy park. All sorts of noise and loud. Found 3 trash metal and one worn penny. It was so loud, people were staring at me. Went to get a headphone from a Whites dealer and friend. Both showed that the headphone jack was not working so had to return it for repair or replacement. I'lll probably get it back in 2 weeks. :( Now I know what people mean by trashy park though. My park used to be so nice but people with dogs never obey to leash their dogs and would not pick up their poop so the city remodel it, into an ugly park with all sorts of metal underneath. Path with wood chips, poop and the soccer field is blocked with orange plastic fence. This is in a very nice neighborhood too.
Texas what's the feedback on the new whites t master in the usa I know they're a entry level detector but they look like like they've got all the bells and whistles could u please give me some feed back for folks in the uk many thanks and good luck
I have heard some good things...but your condittions out in the UK are so different from ours here that it may or may not translate to your Iron Infested sites.
nedaCFilms / Mustang-Town We non-height challenged people (and I am on the short end of tall) are always discriminated against (only kidding, mostly). :)
+MrDigic4 Sorry, I replied to this before, so if you see some repetition it keeps disappearing when I try to save. It is definitely one of the deepest machines I have used in and out of its price range.
