Have you tried building those Corning 2178-ls enclosures? We had to start putting them in due to commscope shortages. My God, I swear it took me 2 hours just to build the actual enclosure with the cables. I'd take one of these afl enclosures over Corning any day.
Actually no I have not ran into any yet but I they seem similar to a product I was installing in Trinidad and Tobago’s there were called a FAT (fiber access terminal) but yea if I ever run into one of the Corning units I’ll for sure be doing a video on it. Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it
I hate to enjoy the fact I’m not the only one that has the rip cord break every 8 inches lol. Was waiting to see what you did with members but I think my main problem was trying to deal with them after inside the case… you putting them in the bracket beforehand?
Hahah yea the rip cords can be annoying with this cable. Yea for the metal strength members there is just a small bracket that you install on the cable at the ring cut that is held in place by a hose clamp. I will make a short video on it tomorrow to show you. Thanks for watching I appreciate it
Great question for me I keep the cables pulled tight as I pull the uni tube out from the armoured jacket to ensure I don’t kink the uni tube that the fibers are inside of. This ensures no fibers break. It has worked for me for years never broken one using this method. Thanks for watching I appreciate you commenting
