Sir Keir Starmer has given his first speech as the UK's new Prime Minister outside Downing Street.
The Labour leader arrived at Buckingham Palace shortly before the speech for an audience with King Charles where he was invited to form a government and become prime minister.
Labour has exceeded 400 Commons seats, with the Conservatives set to fall well below their previous low of 156 MPs set in 1906.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said “my Government will serve you, politics can be a force for good”, as he addressed the nation from Downing Street for the first time.
He added: “The work of change begins immediately, but have no doubt, we will rebuild Britain.”
The Prime Minister concluded by saying: “Our work is urgent and we begin it today.”
