Doom scrolling, working overtime in my job and dating people who are only half interested in us. Why are we like this though? Great video! edit: Anyway I just ended that relationship.
Overthinking leads to decision paralysis. I feel like I have worked too much and never really tested myself. I’ve always just did what I was “supposed” to do. Got a degree etc. Well I’m 36 and I can no longer live in my regret. I’m planning on starting my own business, I just have to stop thinking and ACT.
Here's a thing, I've quit my job some months ago. Ever since then I've been doing nothing that made my finances grow, nothing financially profitable anyway, even though I'd love to do something amazing, I don't know what to do, what can I do? I can a thousand different phobias, it's ridiculous, moreover working almost drove me to offing myself.
it is difficult to balance reaching for your dreams and living a life true to yourself with the hellscape of end stage capitalism being very present in everyones lives. i agree with the message of the video, i just wish i had more ability to follow through with it.
What does that mean? Quitting your job? Working less hours? Not pursuing promotions? It reminds me of a survey question at work about work/life balance, if I feel that work is interfering with my personal life. I always replied YES, because work is stuck to occupy the best hours of most days of the week. Maybe you can create a new business, maybe even a company, and eventually let others work for your income. But, you'll still need to work quite hard for a while and most people are not capable of doing that. Maybe you want to plan to retiring early, e.g. FIRE, but it still requires a lot of years of hard work and frugal living.
@@abbeysolute You could start by watching vids on yt to get an overview of his philosophy. A GUIDE TO ABSURDISM: The Philosophy For Living Fully is a good one. If that interest you then you can read "The Stranger", "The Plague", or "The Myth of Sisyphus" to start.
