I'm 28 and living with my mom since one year back. I feel like I'm not worthy of dating/love because of this... But I'm also realising that I would be lonier if I lived on my own, so I'm kinda thankful of this situation in a way (really strange).

This resonates A LOT with me, 26yo still living with my parents and gaming for hours in order to avoid putting the work in, i got SUPER lazy after graduating college and even tho i'm studying to switch careers i feel like i'm still a teenager honestly, no real money, no perspective of buying or even renting a house but still expecting huge things for the future, guess i have a lot to learn from just living and not expecting my life to become magical all the fucking time for once, i'm really glad yt recommended me ur channel

So many 20-30+ year olds live with their parents and believe that it’s some how a failure, when in fact it’s been the norm for most of human history. For most of human history people have lived in multi generational households where the kids, the parents, the grandparents, the great grandparents and even the aunts and uncles all lived not too far from one another. The idea that moving away away from your family and setting up an isolated nuclear family of your own, completely isolated, is an ideal of only the past several decades, 20th century mostly. If you still live with your parents you are not a failure. Reality is making a comeback and isolation is driving everyone insane, that’s why we are reverting back to what is natural and that is to live with others like we’ve have done for THOUSANDS of years. The 20 century is not the norm of human history.

I believe they started with this campaign about leaving parents at a certain age because of the profit they get to move to another apartment or house.

I am almost 37 not married no kids. Don’t have my job that I am happy about and don’t get paid as much. I fell I am escaping reality watching RU-vid for years and I feel I lost lot of time which I should have used to do something. I feel you at least thinking to the right direction. The world has been giving lot of stimulation which makes us so handicapped mentally. You are voicing your concerns out to so many people. I commend you for that.

I swear you are reading my mind. I deleted the TOK, and told myself it’s time to be a producer instead of a consumer. I’m focusing more on my channel and it’s going well. Love the content!

Just turned 33, have been on/off a number of jobs since graduating college in 2012. Time has gone by and I feel extremely sad about the fact that ive accomplished nothing. No self esteem or confidence left to propel me forward to do anything. Top all that with the fact that no respectable employer will hire me and my social skills have gone down the drain. Personality is numb and outlook dim. Truly sucks when the people you grew up with found their way and uourye still kind of stuck in this 20s phase.

Hope is what keeps us alive. Its good to have strong hopes. Saving money by living at home is not much of a choice but more of a necessity if you wanna get your own home.

Hey just found your channel and really appreciate, and relate to, your content. COVID was my catalyst to live in the moment. But in 2023 I find those previous thoughts sneaking back in. I also just turned 30 lol

Think of Perfection as a mirage, if you go chasing it eventually you will end up in the desert all alone and lost. Life was never meant to be perfect, it was meant to be lived.

Abbey you are absolutely amazing! I have been watching your videos in the background for awhile and what you say just clicks so much with me. Hearing how you feel and thoughts you have in your mind is exactly what I’ve been feeling and I really understand it more hearing come out of another person’s mouth. You make my day more than you know so thank you

Hi abbey, everyone lives at home nowadays. Its not a bad thing, please let that go . Find some hobbies and passions and keep working on your business. Thanks for sharing your life it parallels some many of ourlives. Maybe life coaching would be good for you since you seem to have alot of knowledge about many things. Anyways take care

This is your mind telling you "we have to change something, what we're doing is not working!" Living with your parents in your 30s will significantly affect your ambitions and happiness levels. The beauty and memorable victories are from the calculated risks we take to improve our lives: buying our first home, exercising for a year to find that romance we're after, etc. Without these complex goals life can be bland, uneventful and monotonous. You're an intelligent thinker and speaker, consider stepping it up and reach for that high level goal that you have been thinking about for a long time. Make a conscious decision to achieve it and you will see it will help bring genuine meaning to your life.

@@indy18286 i totally get you, there has to be a solution to this. it can just be work, work, work. the system is rigged and no one seems to care about making a change to have work/life balance. it cant go on this way, especially if youre a just aregular joe just trying to make some cash and live a decent life. anyways you do what you can and be a decent person.

A lot of us feel stuck and hoping that one day we'll find fulfillment, even the most famous and wealthy people struggle with this. You might benefit from reading the book of Ecclesiastes. You don't have to be religious to relate to one of the wisest and richest people that ever lived who tried everything to find happiness and satisfaction, but realised that it is all a 'chasing after the wind'. It seems quite depressing and hopeless for the first 11 chapters, but ends in chapter 12 in a way that shows how every detail of life is meaningful.

I know some people are going to be mad at my comment but i'm doing it for her not for you. With everything happening to palestinans many people got more and more interested in Quran and most specifically Islam in order to understand how people facing such enormous tragedies could genuinely smile and be thankful to God. I'm not saying you should revert or anything and i dont want to influence you by any means but reading the Qur'an has been LIFE CHANGING for me. I understood things about myself beyond what i thought i could ever percieve and i really wish everyone to find the purpose of life and why they actually are on this Earth with all these great things such as food water or even earing and sight. You should give it a quick read through, peace be upon you darling

The reason Palestinians can smile while going through tragedies is because they believe if you die or KILL for Allah you will be rewarded. They also started the tragedies that they are currently going through by torturing and killing families in Israel. They believe that it’s okay to kill anybody who isn’t Muslim.
