I listened to the whole closing argument. It's very motivational. I honestly expected it to split the jury as it eludes to some other facts that the jury was not made aware of. I guess they just tuned out. This man should be set free.

I looked into the recall info and there isn't one incident where a throttle body or accelerator pedal got stuck open. All of the symptoms of the faulty throttle body either caused loss of power or caused the vehicle to stall completely. Obviously this is something the prosecution would have looked into thoroughly before trial. Also Darrell Brooks would have based his entire defense on it from the beginning and you would have heard him talking about it way before now.

Everyone in the courtroom watching that video was visibly horrified. The one district attorney was crying, and nearly everyone including Judge Dorow was holding back tears. The person who caused it all was the only one watching who didn't seem a bit bothered by the carnage, and only reacted to make a show of closing his eyes and making preying gestures when he heard the audience audibly react. I truly believe he is entirely sane, but entirely devoid of whatever it is that makes us human.

This guy has never had to endure consequences for his actions until now. He thinks that he is the smartest person in the room, and that because of his intellectual prowess, the prosecution needed 3 lawyers to contend with him. It absolutely flies over his head that they needed 3 lawyers to be able to address the excessive amount of evidence that proves his guilt. He obviously hates women, his ego would dwarf Mt Everest, and he is even more arrogant than Bundy ever dreamed of being. He is clearly a sociopathic malignant narcissist with a side of misogyny. I am light years ahead of this guy in terms of intelligence, and I would never be so stupid as to think I could defend myself. His closing argument is contradictory with itself. He argued that the stuck throttle body that was a known malfunction is why he couldn't stop, and a mere few minutes later he points to a detectives testimony that he wasn't speeding. So, within a few minutes timeframe, he argued that he couldn't control the speed of the vehicle, while also pointing out how great his control of the speed of the vehicle was. Apparently, it never crossed his mind that, had the throttle body been a legitimate issue, he could have used the brake pedal, the emergency brake, he could have rear-ended a parade vehicles intentionally, and even if he couldn't stop completely he could have shifted into Neutral. If this person was just 1/10th as smart as he THOUGHT he was, he would squash Tesla. The man, not the car. Brooks didn't get what he deserved. His punishment wasn't close to fitting the crime. He deserves death.

I would have let him argue for jury nullification. This case was over before it began. There is no way he was EVER going to have a chance to walk out of there. He never even made a coherent argument as to how he is innocent.

The sheriff, DA, judge, no one wanted to charge the man, but because of the law they had to. I think that was the shortest trial, or jury deliberation ever. Everyone was happy with the acquittal.

You definitely can see how angry the judge was right after watching the video the state played before their recess. You can hear the people in the court room emotionally breaking while watching which was I'm sure very difficult content to view, the judge in fact was angry 😡 as you can hear the anger and disgust towards brooks as she answers him about being muted. Then mutes him due to his improper statement about jury nullification. So much respect and credit for the judge and the state for their professionalism and really wiping the floor with brooks. The victims and family are all hero's. Their bravery definitely does not go unnoticed. They refused to stay down and beaten by brooks. They all stood up and against him. They pointed right at him and said you may have knocked me down that day but you didn't keep me down. Not that I care because believe me, I do not, but letting the family members cry, while the jury is present is prejudicial to a defendant, but he doesn’t deserve to even have rights let alone be treated like a human being. So it bothered me none that it was allowed.
