@@LatonyaDickerson Right? Now that the trial is paused they are at home all day, unless they want to go to work but I think the court wants them to be able to return to the courthouse when they are told to, so you know they're sitting online consuming everything about the trial they can. If that's what they're doing, if I was one of the defense attorney's I would want the recusal to be denied. Almost all the coverage is talking about how the judge and prosecutors are colluding, unethical, and broke the law which should have the jurors think the entire investigation and trial is corrupt and hand down a not guilty verdict. This would be far better than a recusal and mistrial, where they would have to go through all of this again.
@@markschoch9509 I think they're regular people who need to work. Most of them can't afford to sit home for a month not getting paid while they wait for the trial to resume. I doubt any of them are going out trying to learn about the case. I think people around them will be talking about it though, and it will be hard to be away from the case for that long and not hear some things.
I am loving this trial coverage! Writs of Mandamus! Lawyers thrown in jail midtrial! Judge holding ex parte meetings with prosecutor! Dad and Son Tragos are a mighty duo! Keep 'em coming!
Yes, please keep following this case, and yes, please keep including Papa George as we can’t get a more ‘giant’ (as the video intro’s used to say) legal mind than his!!
I absolutely love how knowledgeable your dad is. He always comes off as kind, patient and willing to teach. Just wanted to point out that I love his demeanor. you are very lucky to have him Peter!
That judge and those prosecutors are an embarrassment to the judicial system. Every case they have overseen should be reviewed. For them to do what they’re doing so casually while the world is watching on live TV is disgusting!
Not going to comment on the Judge as it's quite obvious what is going on but I can't stand the prosecutor's attitude at all. Thankfully, in the UK, my leaned colleagues and I both prosecute and defend so usually it remains professional and friendly. It certainly would not get anywhere near this circus show. Sadly, being able to practice in California, this really puts me off wanting to do so, at least as an advocate in criminal cases. mainly because of the election system of the judiciary.
YESSSS!!!! We adore Papa Tragos ♥️. Peter, you will always be our esteemed patriarch. The addition of your dad, though, is the cherry on top. Please tell him I loved his utilization of the phrases "PHOOEY" and "CACA" 😆. Officially requesting they be included in new merch!
Im part of the rewatch gang. Can never make a live due to time differences 🇦🇺, but I look forward to waking up to these analyses. Thanks Peter and team. I also fully appreciate papa George's contributions!
Australia 🇦🇺. This trial is pathetic. Judge & prosecution need to go both are dirty. Why is this allowed to go on when we can all see what's happening?
We've errored way too far towards quick and easy convictions. In every way the court rules have been twisted and perverted into the joke we have now. The Karen Read trial is a good example. At least 2 people who killed John O'Keefe have confessed. The people who they confessed to are known. The judge and prosecutor know about these confessions. But unfortunately they care nothing about justice and know those confessions can never come in under our current court rules. People mistakenly assume our courts have always been like this. But they very much haven't.
I don’t know if it’s becoming more common or we’re just able to see it better now because of channels like this and cameras in courtrooms. It’s infuriating!
Hard to go from making the big bucks to getting crapped on, threatened and not paid nearly enough. He’s happy where he’s at I think, but they both would be great judges.
Keep your Dad on camera, you're helping him in more ways than you can imagine. He's keeping his skills in law sharp, he exudes a level of pride, joy, & happiness. That you followed in his profession and you enjoy it. But more than anything he loves sharing time with you!!!!!
True. But he’s still very much practicing and active, and kicking ass! I’m sure he loves doing law with his son, and knowing we’re all learning with them!
I have lost my way with this trial. I think it’s shocking that Jury Duty includes this extended time due to the incompetence of the Bench and Prosecution. This is peoples lives and their valuable time.
The secret meeting was incredibly important to the defense. The fact that he was being threatened would by the court definitely be considered brady information. Everything looks suspicious about this meeting. The judge was doing the defense dirty by not disclosing this meeting prior to the witness testifying.
Yes! Please bring your father on again to discuss. I like hearing his opinion. Thank you for your opinions on this case. It's fascinating to see what happens when things are done unfairly to the rights of citizens.
Yes, he was definitely intimidated - AND - they were trying to do a “gotcha” on his testimony. No honor at all on the part of the prosecution. NONE. It’s disgusting. The state is the most powerful person in the room. Therefore, they must be the most honorable. They should show VERY CLEARLY that they are not using that POWER to OVERPOWER anyone else. They must always show absolute RESPECT for all individuals and for the concepts of law and justice.
I found this "The Star Chamber (which apparently took its name from the gilded stars on the ceiling of the room where it met) didn't use a jury, just royal judges, so it was less subject to bribery." and "The Star Chamber received its name from the room in which it met in Westminster Palace - a room in which stars were painted on the ceiling."
Thank you so much for using the brown wall background in the thumbnail in this video, it was 100% less straining on my already struggling vision issue. I hope it sticks around! Love learning so much from yours and other lawtube creators videos thanks for all you do!
Having Papa Tragos's experience on both the prosecution and defense side gives us such an invaluable insight!! Thank you both for breaking this down into layman's language.
Hey! I think I know you! Total🔥! SO glad I checked out this channel instead of scrolling. I really enjoy your format, commentary, personality, your dad and this commentary which is great... Wow Know what? NO downside!!! 😘👍⚖️☁️☀️☁️ PS~I've only subbed since maybe a week ago but watched several videos~ read my comment and it sounded too much like this was the first I'd seen. But that's false.
As a pupil many decades ago, I learn Latin in the very room that was once Henry V111's Star Chamber. It was originally part of Westminster Abbey, which Henry had acquired in the Dissolution of the Monasteries circa 1540. At one end was a trap door which concealed narrow stairs leading down to an underground crypt. This was the same staircase used to take condemned prisoners on their journey to the Tower of London. The Star Chamber room luckily escaped destruction when a WW2 bomb exploded close by in 1940.
Peter, I used to view some defense attorneys in a not very favorable way. I saw them as allowing criminals to get away with crimes on technicalities. After following your channel, your integrity, fairness and overall honorableness has made me see that we need more attorneys like you (and your dad, and a few other attorneys I watch on other channels). Lately, I have seen more corruption in our courts than I thought possible. It’s actually quite scary. I am thankful that you, and those like you, are there to stand in the gap for justice. Thank you for all you do to help people see how our justice system is supposed to work. God has given you a gift and you are using it well.
You guys have the best YSL coverage on LawTube. Thanks to both of you for the time you spend on this. I also really like how your dad can distill these motions down so easily. I think these videos really showcase both of your capabilities as lawyers. You guys make me want to make a midlife career change.
I personally think...@lawyeryouknow You would have way more ysl views compared to your other videos if the video/info recap was posted the day/night the info became available. As most YSL "watchers" are desperate for the latest info/update so if your video is past 24 hours, it's "old news" per say. Myself, I love your channel..especially when your dad is on soo i will watch regardless even if i have already watched 5 other videos covering the YSL topic
Really enjoy and appreciate when your pop's joins the show! Always such great breakdowns that allows for someone such as myself to understand what's going on with everything that otherwise I would not know what it means
Have you had a judge tell u in front the jury, your not prepared, you are unprofessional, tell you to sit down? That kinda of disrespect shows a bias toward the defendants and the Attorneys BUT the State can lie on defense, lie about things that just did not happen in the courtroom …This secret meeting is another piece to his bias….Get him out of there…
Peter, I appreciate you saying you will not discuss politics !!! love you and love hearing your dad. You're really one of the few smart attorneys on RU-vid.
I think the Judge didn’t stop from having a meeting was because this was not the first time they’ve done it.

I really love the Socratic interaction your dad has with you when you may disagree on the something. He doesn't just state why he disagrees. He asks you very poignant questions. Hands down, the Socratic method is the single best way to learn about anything. It brings you to your truth.
I’ve just watched a little but YT took me to the next video & it happened to be Bumpus on her own channel. I think she had a guest but I didn’t know him & he left. Then there was a “surprise” and Copeland was there. They both were saying that nothing else happened that wasn’t on the transcript. She asked Copeland if he agreed & he said he did. Just private conversation weren’t on it. It all looked & sounded hokey and preplanned. This was just a couple of days ago & it seemed bizarre! Your dad is the best and the apple sure didn’t fall far from the tree! The 2 of you are making me care about this case! Ty!
I haven't had time to watch this yet. That being said, a couple days ago ( shoot may have been yesterday, this week has been mad) I commented about the white boundaries on the new video nail clips. I see it now with you not having the white boundary but your guests still do. I think, superb, better than I could've thought that late at night. It dials down your photos and makes it looks less, as you said - cheesy, but also highlights the guests with the white boundaries still being on them. Like I stated, superb, great selection and balance!
Replay gang here. Your dad and the sheer amount of knowledge he's accumulated over his career are both priceless. Keep him on as much as he's willing to be!
Your Dad seems to only care about the law and the legal process, rather than the media coverage and that is unusual on RU-vid. I love the conversation between you.
So the state took an extra 48 hours, and was still late, to file an 81 page document that basically says "NUH UH".....lmao Am I missing the legal arguments?
Plus, the shadow on the title added with the separation of all the individuals and size differences, it gives everyone a different context and takes your eye around the picture. I think yall hire someone at this point - bravo
These Judges who we seem to see more often and up to the highest level, ie this case, the Karen Read case, the Supreme Court Justices are involved in cases they are not impartial to and will not recuse themselves. The are eroding faith in our legal system by a World Wide audience.
Yes more Papá T! It’s helpful sometimes he makes different points and you both commenting together makes it even better with his experience! Specially for this case!
I love Brian Steel. I live in Atlanta and this case is insane. Actually worked with Steel on an appeal. But anyways, Glanville's recusal trial should be held by non-biased judges.
They had already been talking to Woody without his lawyer because they had made plans to have him driven to court. Obviously, they were in contact with him outside of his attorney.
Missed the live, but thank you Peter and Papa T for the update. Everyone hit that 👍🏻. LYK is by far my favorite unbiased, updating, and Interactive with chat, RU-vidr on law I've seen so far. 💯 And he just hit 400k, let's get him to half a million
When I’m reading other comments on a variety of posts, I throw in a good word for LYK if the writer appears to have a sincere interest in the law. One version: You might like listening to Peter Tragos the Lawyer You Know. His channel has rapidly grown to over 400 K, because he is an excellent and engaging attorney. He is a man of faith and principle who is committed to informing his community about the legal process with an eye to preparing people to be effective jurors.
