1. hold down the Shift key while editing a mesh of two parts 2. delete the overlapping parts 3. create a new mesh of the overlapping parts 4. glue them together 5. adjust the weight and you are done!
it's pro feature, if you decide to use free version you can't do that. It's just Ctrl+C in edit mode right leg then go to edit mode to left leg and Ctrl+V
