Preparedmind101 is always up for new ways to set stuff on fire. So I was very excited to try out the newest firestarter from the inventors of Mini and Micro Inferno. This is a great addition to any compact sure-fire kit.

Good job! Just a suggestion...I have found that it is easier to use a ferro rod by holding the edge steady and pulling the ferro rod back against it. That seams to direct the spark on the fuel better.

You beat me to it (by 8 years, lol). I tend to use this "dragging" method anyway as it intensified the heat into your tinder, by reducing the circle of spread. In shooting terms, a better grouping. Good call. Definitely a technique improvement crying out to be adopted in the video.

Great review... Roger makes some pretty great products. I am a big fan of Mini Inferno too.

Chris have you done any vid reviews comparing multiple sure fire products in one video exposing burn times, spark first test etc?

looks easy enough to make. melt some bees wax, maybe with added pine resin, soak some viscose cotton, and tightly pack it into a tine while it's still hot, so you can squeeze out exess wax
