Here’s a liver-friendly lunch recipe idea that’s packed with nutrients to support your liver cleanse:
Liver Cleanse Power Bowl
Ingredients
1 cup quinoa (or brown rice for a different texture)
1/2 cup steamed cauliflower (cruciferous vegetable for detox support)
1/2 avocado (healthy fats and glutathione support)
1/4 cup grated beetroot (rich in antioxidants and supports bile flow)
1/4 cup chopped dandelion greens (great for liver detox)
1 tbsp lemon juice (helps stimulate liver enzymes)
1 tbsp olive oil (healthy fats support liver health)
1 clove garlic, minced (boosts detoxification enzymes)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (anti-inflammatory and liver-protective)
Sea salt and pepper to taste
Method
Rinse 1 cup of quinoa and cook it according to the package instructions. Fluff it with a fork and set aside.
Steam the cauliflower until tender (about 5 minutes). Grate the beetroot and chop the dandelion greens.
In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, turmeric, sea salt, and pepper.
In a large bowl, layer the quinoa, steamed cauliflower, grated beetroot, chopped dandelion greens, and avocado slices.
Pour the lemon-turmeric dressing over the bowl and toss gently to combine all the flavours.
This bowl is packed with liver-loving ingredients, perfect for supporting detoxification and providing essential nutrients.
